After a 4th of July visit to the Clinton Presidential Library, we stopped in for lunch just before…read morethe deluge. We were warmly welcomed, served ice water and left to decide what to order. After selecting some beer for a tasting flight, we ordered a shrimp po boy and the Oklahoma Smash Burger both with fries. They were both excellent. We also enjoyed all of the beers we tasted: above ground pool, porch swing (love the apricot), gluten free pineapple (tasty), and Xolo Mexican lager. Also love the variety of places and spaces for sitting, sipping, and eating. If we lived locally, we'd be regulars here! Think this is my all time favorite brewery.

There is also a huge outdoor patio, some of it covered. Our server was incredibly friendly and helpful, even giving my daughter a detailed explanation about where po'boys originated. We ordered two flights, and surprisingly we liked every beer. This is very rare for us! I also got to sample their frozen cherry sour beer, which was really good! As for food, all of it was great...pretzels, fish and chips, burgers, and more. This was one of the nicest breweries I've been to. Even if you don't drink beer, come here for the food and atmosphere!!!

Petit & Keet was easily one of the highlights of our trip to Little Rock. We had a great meal,…read moregreat service and a few pleasant surprises that really stood out. Food (9/10) Lobster Bisque (6/10): This was the only miss for me. It was a little too watery to be called a bisque, the lobster was overcooked for my liking, and it just needed more flavor. Birria Empanadas (10/10): These are usually only served during happy hour, but we asked if they happened to have any left, and they graciously said yes. I'm so glad they did. These were phenomenal--honestly one of the best things I've ever put in my mouth. The crispy shell reminded me of the Wonton Tacos at Applebee's, and the filling was creamy, cheesy, meaty... just ridiculously good. Paneed Chicken (9/10): I stole a few bites from my wife's entrée, and it was excellent. The chicken was lightly breaded, tender, and flavorful, and the sauce tied everything together nicely. Brussels Sprouts (8/10): These were good, but we've had better. I would've liked them just a little more tender. Sipstock Star (7/10): If you enjoy drinks that mimic the taste of alcohol, you'll probably like this one. It wasn't sweet, but it had good flavor. Spice Spice Baby (10/10): Now this was my kind of mocktail. Sweet, refreshing, and exactly what I was hoping for. Service (8/10) Robbie took great care of us. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive without hovering. We never had to wait on anything. Ambiance (9/10) Petit & Keet feels like it can be whatever you need it to be. It has a little sports bar area, a little upscale casual patio section, and a little fine dining area all under one roof. The lighting, décor and overall atmosphere make it feel warm and inviting. Lagniappe (10/10) Before we were even seated, we got a glimpse of the kind of place this is. We came in through the side entrance, and a gentleman wearing a chef's apron walked in behind us. He apologized that one of the doors wasn't working, fixed it, asked if we had a reservation, looked it up, and seated us himself. I never asked who he was, but I got the feeling he was either the owner or someone with a lot of pride in the restaurant. Those aren't things you see every day. Then, after we got home, I realized I'd lost my receipt, which I needed for expense reimbursement. I stopped by the next day, and they explained they were in the middle of prepping for dinner service but promised to text me a copy later. Sure enough, a few hours later, my receipt showed up exactly like they said it would. It's little things like that that separate good restaurants from great ones. We'd definitely come back the next time we're in Little Rock.

One of the saddest steakhouse experiences I've ever had. When we walked in on Saturday night at…read morealmost 6pm, there were only two tables. No one was at the front and it took almost 5 minutes for anyone to notice we were there. Best part is their music wasn't working the whole evening, so we got to enjoy the lovely sounds of awkward silence, the kitchen phone ringing, the dishwasher running, and our waitress listening to youtube on her phone. For two people with two very sad steaks, one side each, bread, and 3 coronas came out to over $200. Ordered a rare filet, it was served medium. It was covered in seasoning I assume to mask the poor quality of the filet. My husband got the ribeye and complained of a very odd taste in his mouth the whole time. I could've ordered the exact same meal at outback for half the price and had a better experience. The cold untoasted bread they served that you had to pay for literally looked and smelled like bagged sliced bread. We were one of 3 tables the entire 2 hours we were there. It took almost an hour to get our steaks with only 2 tables there before us. It took our waitress about 10 minutes to just run our card and finish our check so we could leave. She took her sweet time either being on her phone or getting drinks for other tables etc while we were waiting. My husband said he's never seen a slower moving waitress and it was insane how long everything took considering there were only 6 other people in the entire restaurant. When they did get some music to play, they played the same 3 very obnoxious jazz songs on repeat, and the volume varied the entire time. Sometimes it was too loud to hear each other talk, then there'd be a gap of silence for about 5 mins, then the music would start playing at such a low level you could hear the waitress's phone playing youtube clear across the restaurant. One of the saddest overpriced dining experiences I've had in a long time. You could tell the second you walk in that no one really gives a crap. The tables are very awkwardly placed, the lighting was unpleasant, there was one light going through a flicker cycle the whole night. All the bar chairs (which no one was sitting in) were haphazard and everything just looked like it was falling apart or unkempt. It's sad because you could really do a lot with this space, but whoever is managing this place is running it into the ground. You can tell based on the fact that they had a total of 4 tables the entirety of Saturday night that this place won't last much longer. I'll be shocked if it lasts through the year.
