First time and won't be back. Mainly because we dont live here. Was not overly impressed with the service and food. The dessert was delicious though. I ordered a passion fruit margarita and tasted more mango than anything, it did pack a wallop tho. I ordered the enchilada suprema and was less than supprema. Whoever was my sever on 04/23/2029 at 7:00pm-8-45pm was HORRIBLE my friend arrived 30 minutes before everyone and everyone got their food before her (AND SHES PREGNANT). We asked for plastic silverware and we got everything including our adult beverages and I had to start eating with chips!!! And when we asked that they at least accommodate my friend because she didn't receive her food u til everyone else was done....they only gave her $4 OFF!!!!!!! The question you have to ask yourself sometimes is "somewhere familiar or somewhere new?" We went with somewhere new. Look, it's really pretty with what they've done, the music is fun, and the view is great. It was way too cold to sit inside. I really like what they did to the place. It looks upscale with high expectations. We sat down with a great welcoming. Talia the hostess/waitress/what we thought was the manager was super nice and accommodating. Our waitress, Claudia, again super nice but....needs more training. She disappeared for 15 mins and didn't hear an app we wanted (said it 3x) and my wife's burrito came with chicken instead of mixed. We did address the app missing to Talia and she did say it's Claudia's third day. So I get that, new plus still learning English is what she said. Food, cheese dip was good, salsa was good, I had the 3 tacos. Birria, Al Pastor, and Carne Asada. They were ok, the birria was solid enough. The Al Pastor didn't come with pineapple but again that's ok. We didn't get the green salsa I ordered. I don't know if we will be back. Maybe for Patio and drinks. The drinks did take about 10 mins at first then second round 6 mins. It's hard not to go to a place familiar to get solid food and solid service. The space is huge but it's beautiful. It took me a while to go through the menu because there were so many tempting options. They even have mojito and margarita flights. Hubby and I ended up with the birria tacos and burritos compadres mixed plus cheese dip to start. The cheese dip is a huge portion, nice and thick - it really sticks to the chips but doesn't get congealed. I don't think we've ever had cheese dip left over to take home. The burritos compadres were large - stuffed with meat. The meat was well seasoned and cooked. The star of the show was the birria. So good I'll probably be dreaming about it. Portions are ample and we ended up taking half of everything home. (Let's get real - I filled up on that cheese dip!) I wish I'd caught our server's name. He was so nice and knowledgeable. He told us about the various events at Maximo's and told us to follow them on Facebook for future events. We will be back! read more

The sever from today had shitty service and only had one table to take care of... truly astounding

Visited twice ... First visit service was slow and klunky but it was newly opened. During our dinner, we also had two young boys solicit our table to buy candy bars for their sports team fundraiser. They were just going table to table unchecked which wasn't cool. Second visit, service was MUCH better. We were seated right away, food came out fast and everything was great. Glad I gave them another chance. Docking 1 star because I was annoyed and confused when browsing their website. I finally pieced things together and figured out the website for this business is a $50 template they bought called "Raging Tacos" and they failed to update 90% of the stock copy and imagery. Basically they only updated the home page but if you click through to "Events" , "Find Us", even the online menu it's all made up BS (and half of it is in Spanish). Lists their address as California , etc. unacceptable and needs to be fixed...I saw another Yelper state they didn't even visit the restaurant because they website menu was all in Spanish. Great experience! Food has been great. We had tried the combos and Fajitas. We have been 2 times for dinner and once for happy hour...lovely inside with a wonderful outdoor patio. Becoming one of our favorites but Mojitos at happy hour were $8. At dinner $12. Wish I could had 2 but thats a lot of $$$ for a drink. read more

This was honestly the worst time ever had. We had a huge party there probably around 45 people We only one person They weren't very busy in the restaurant other than us and everybody was kind of standing we had to get up and get our own drinks. No one came and cleared the dishes even once I understand it taking a while to get our food and that was OK but we got absolutely no service and when we did, it was from only one person the prices were very high, and of course they added their tip whether you liked it or not, our table was unsteady and was rocking. We had to fix it ourselves with a napkin folded up under it after the manager came over with something and said he couldn't put it under there was too much stuff on the table. I really hate to say it, but it was a horrible experience for us. It's like they didn't care if we had things piled up everywhere or if we needed drinks I will never ever go back there again or refer them to anyone. They knew they had their tip added in your bills, so they didn't care if you had good service or not. read more

The service is consistently top notch. Friendly, helpful, and attentive staff help to make each meal complete. The ambiance is excellent and balances interesting decor with fun views to set your sights on while not beating you a million things to look at. The music has been authentic Central American which is nice to compliment the dishes. The cocktails are so good! Top notch ingredients made by bartenders who know the recipes well. No drinks here taste like high fructose corn syrup mix, the bar is legit. I'm a beer drinker through and through but here, I order cocktails. Now. The food. This is not Tex mex. There are some really delicious, authentic dishes here. The fajitas are done if the best I've had. Chips and salsa are some of the best in town. Every plate that comes out of the kitchen has been put together by an artist. The ONLY reason for not 5 stars is it is a bit expensive. I'm always a little surprised at the bill but hey, for good quality food, drinks, and service, I keep splurging and coming back! This fairly new restaurant is in the former Macaroni Grill location. Service was good, but the quality of food was really bad. My wife ordered enchiladas and she could only eat a quarter of the order (several issues with the quality). I ordered chicken fajitas. The rice/beans/pico/guac came on a separate plate and were "old" (guacamole was a dark green) as if they had been prepared in advance then brought out, The chicken was dry, over cooked, and seasoned with a smoked paprika mixture. I agree with an earlier reviewer. The food is very good, but the service is very bad. We have been twice, and the service was poor both times. Most recently I ordered a beer, and after I had finished my meal the server finally checked on us and told me there was a problem with the taps. Since I had finished my water before the food even came, I ate my entire dinner with nothing to drink. I thought the food was very good and there were different options than at other Mexican restaurants in WLR, but the service really was not up to the same level as the food. read more

Great location! Beautiful restaurant. Upscale decor and all around great vibes. The staff was friendly and accommodating. We ordered an off the menu item (flour chips) and we were very pleased when they were happy to make them for us! Dinner was reasonably priced and plated nicely. Dinner for three including drinks and appetizer was around 60$. Our server was so pleasant, staying attentive to be sure our glasses were never empty.
