    H&S Swimming Pool! Henry 224-251-8525

Having a pool isn't easy but Henry and his team make it as effortless as possible. Henry installed my pool in 2019 and has been helping me maintain it since. When my solar heater went out, Henry was there to save the day. When the filter gave out, Henry and company where there to help with the replacement. Thankfully now with the storefront, I can stop by when I have swimming pool concerns Whether we are talking about the installation, maintenance, or you want new swimming pool toys, you need someone who knows how to do this and will make sure everything is in the right place and working properly so you can have a nice clean and safe pool to swim in. Henry and his team are me go to for all things swimming pools! Best part, not only does he make house calls, he's a nice guy!

Jose and his team came over and installed our pool in one day. They were fast, efficient, knowledgeable, and professional. Everything looks and works great! Highly recommend these guys.

My husband and I are all about supporting local small businesses. Long time client of Norbert Pools in Niles and wa sorry to see them go. We had the unfortunate situation that our pool had a tree land on it and puncture a hole in the side during a recent bad storm. Devastating damage to our back yard we have been forced to re-do everything. Reached out to H&S Swimming Pools to get an estimate to replace our pool. Everything thing seemed fine, got estimate in a timely fashion. They did not include the pump and filter. I asked for them to add those, once again no problem except they lumped it together with the pool. Due to the age of the pool vs the age of the pump and filter our insurance required us to have those items separated out. NO BIG DEAL TO DO I WOULD ASSUME. Well after making multiple request via email, text and calling nothing. Finally was able to get in touch with the nice lady in the office that had been helping us. We were informed that the owner "Henry" refuses to revise the estimate unless we put down a deposit on the pool. Ridiculous, we will not be replacing the pool until next year. Does not make sense to do before. We would never do business with someone that forces you to give them money in order to submit pricing to insurance to get reimbursement to fix a disaster. Salt on the wounds! Small businesses usually show more care for customers. Not saying they would do a bad job. I'm saying they need to work on their business skills and customer service.

The pool was supposed to be finished by years end 2020 and it's still unfinished in November 2021. I have continued to make payments during 2021 in hopes the pool will be finished. I paid an additional 40k due to price increases and he once again promised it would be completed before winter 2021. Now material costs have risen once again. Daniel Kamide from Dana Pools is asking for even more money to finish the project that was supposed to be completed in 2020. His new projected completion date is mid 2022. Waiting another winter for them to finish the pool will lead to further damage, possible wall collapse and just a complete waste of time money. The pool has cracks all over which they tried to repair saying a pool liner would solve the issue. I hired another pool company to inspect, and they were shocked to see this type of damage on a new install. They said a pool liner would only last a little while before further cracks appear and cause major issues. The last straw was after the installation of the pumps and equipment. I was notified that Daniel Kamide returned after installing the pumps and started to disconnect everything. He attempted to steal the pumps and equipment he installed a few days earlier. We immediately contacted the Lake Forest police department and luckily, they arrived just before he left. We have begun to peruse legal action against Dana Pools and hope no one else falls for their terrible work and shady practices

Through my own personal experience the owner of this company is anything but professional and is currently being sued. Please read my complaint in BBB to fully understand the grief caused by Danna Pools and the owner, Dan Kamide. Well over 100 feet of structural cracks in a pool that was less than 1 year old. Design, engineer, labor and materials all provided by owner and his company but somehow, without any remorse he believes it not to be his problem. RUN-RUN-RUN AWAY!!!!! Just like Danna Pools and Dan Kamide have done to me and other customers.

I did so early so we could make sure that our pool would be open and usable for memorial day. Service so far has been an absolute nightmare. We were totally flexible on the day of service and the time but just asked that it be ready to go by mid May and I let them know that I was having events on memorial day and on the Friday before. Here is what I emailed Sunset today about my experience thus far. It looks like barring a miracle, we won't even be able to use our pool on memorial day as the pool and chemicals are cloudy and our cleaner is not working properly: "I have called seven times to your office over the past three days. The first time I called on Wednesday to confirm that my service was on Thursday and it would be performed as scheduled. They confirmed yes. On Thursday (yesterday), I called because at 11 am, no one had arrived for the scheduled service that day. The front office again told me not to worry and assured me they would be coming that day, Thursday. Then I called again at 3 pm because no one was there and they said I was next on the Thursday schedule, and they should be at my home shortly. At 5:15 PM when no one had still arrived, I called again and your office was now closed. I left a message on the general number. I also called your "emergency line" and left a message there. No one ever returned my call. No one ever showed up!! Today (Friday) I called this morning and they said someone would be coming today. Then when no one arrived by 11 am, I called again and they said they didn't know what was going on and would call me back. No one did. I called again and the office was closed." So, if you want to spend your time chasing down customer service and looking at an unusable pool for the memorial day weekend, this may be your company for weekly service. Just don't ask for Thursdays, that's our day!!! (Dripping with sarcasm ).

After scheduling and paying deposit for the pool party and confirming we have 1 hour set up and 1 hour post party to clean up, we tried to contact the Harrer pool coordinator for room specs, table number, size, chairs and equipment availability so we know what we needed to buy or not buy..table covers wall decor and such. Nothing. Emails and phone calls not returned. Was contacted 2 days prior to party by the new coordinator only to be asked about the cake. Coordinator told my daughter, the birthday celebrant's mom, we had to be out of the room exactly at noon. We were pushed out at 1145.. why? They had their own party to go to. Will never opt for a party space that NEEDS to have a coordinator on site. Have used the field houses for parties before and will continue to use them again. OR will rent Oriole Pool party room and instead (as long as that particular "party planner" is NOT part of the deal) So terribly disappointed.

This review is purely for the 'open' volleyball Thursday nights. I've gone to the gym for years…read more The workers there are friendly and helpful. The older woman that looks to head this "open" volleyball seems to pick and choose when she would like others to take part. My friends and I have slowly started to participate in the open volleyball here, but have noticed that her attitude towards us participating is not very kind. We come from different suburbs in the Chicagoland area - not exactly close. But we're turned away because she felt that they couldn't let one more team play (even though other players told us we were welcome). Third week in a row we were given attitude while trying to take part in "open" volleyball. I would suggest MG park district try to come up with a sign up sheet or better method of signing up to partake in "open" volleyball. Because if I have to travel from far to only be told I cannot play, it should not be called "open" volleyball. We would have made other arrangements to play had we known we would be told we cannot play there. Instead we wasted 45 mins trying to arrange another court to play. Unprofessional and rude.
