I mainly pull up here for the basketball court, and for that, it's not too bad. The court does what a court is supposed to do! No issues, however it use to be what looked like "gunk" and trapped bacteria from humidity on the walls are now gone thankfully, cause it looked terrible Now the rest of the gym? That's where things get a little wild. Cleanliness isn't exactly their strong suit. It kinda feels like they just gave up halfway and said, "Eh, good enough." The locker rooms and weight areas could definitely use some TLC! Especially the men's bathroom, absolutely disgusting Customer service is alright. The staff is cool enough, they'll check you in, smile (sometimes), and keep it moving. At the end of the day, if you're just trying to get some cardio in or hoop a bit, it works. But if you're looking for anything that even remotely resembles a high-end fitness experience this ain't the move!

There are trainers on site training folks but they are super nice and definitely not aggressive with equipment like trainers in other gyms. Short version: you aren't less just because you are training on your own. Everyone is courteous. There's plenty of workout space, plenty of equipment and variety of equipment. The building is organized into two floors and about 3-4 main training areas. The squat / deadlift room is a class act and these days an essential to have. The spaces are well lit, clean and organized. Members could rerack weights but this is a problem in all gyms right now. There's plenty of parking available. The building is well maintained. The changing rooms, showers are all clean and well maintained. There's no sauna, there is no steam room, there is no pool of any kind and good riddance -- those always bring the worst of the gym goers. There's no daycare, no children's area. Leave your children at home. Now there is a spa side, that's where steam and sauna might be. I don't know. That part is extra on top of the membership. You just have to decide if you need those services. I don't. The price point is higher than other gyms, and yes you get what you pay for. It is however the same pricing as Fit athletics that closed. If you ask what could be improved: The gym could use about 10-20 additional 45lb plates to be distributed in the training rooms they have as there aren't 45lb plates to go around in general. Just for clarification. I train heavy. Perhaps most other people did not notice this. The hours are a little conservative especially on Fridays and weekends. It's a family owned gym, you deal with real people, no corporate, it's mellow and friendly. Free of texting teenagers, children, socialites, fitness influencers, tripods and recording and other Houston annoyances, this gym is a breath of fresh air. It's for courteous, grown up, serious exercise enthusiast.

CONS: It's in a remodel which isn't ideal but that won't last forever. Doesn't affect use of gym, just aesthetics. Also, a tad pricier than a "big box" gym but you get what you pay for, I don't regret the investment. Ultimately I've been a member of a dozen gyms over 16 years and this is my favorite one so far. Everything I need, not crowded, like a home away from home.

Some of the pulses of light were unpleasant and others sleep inducing so this experience really ran the gamut. Lucia light is supposed to help with meditation but for me- bc of the novelty of it- didn't feel like meditation at all. I felt like I was reading an external stimulus instead of tuning internally. If you are prone to migraines or seizures this experience would not be for you. Pregnancy was a contraindication to this experience as well per their consent. Otherwise- it's worth checking out.
