Went to this bagel spot with some friend and it was quite busy which is typically a good sign. We each got a different bagel and they were all prepared relatively quickly for how busy it was. Each one of our four bagels we thought had too much mayonnaise on it which wasnt a deal breaker but other bagel places don't slather it on as much. None of our bagels were toasted either which we expected for a bagel sandwich, but maybe we should have specified. Seating is limited so we ate outside in the parking lot. The veggie and egg bagel with tomato, egg, and cheese was also fine, though both could've used a bit more seasoning like salt and pepper. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the service was quick. The place is quite small with no real indoor seating, so it's more of a grab-and-go spot. Tried the Kona Hawaii blend coffee -- it was okay but not remarkable. Overall, decent for a quick breakfast, but I've had better bagel sandwiches elsewhere. Total- $21 read more

They bagels are really fresh and delicious. My favorite bagel is the jalapeño cheddar bagel. My second favorite is the sesame bagel. As far as efficiency, they are masters at getting through a long line of customers. I don't feel like I ever have to wait too long even if the line is long. I was excited to try this bagel spot after reading all the positive reviews, but I was unfortunately left a bit disappointed with my experience. This was my first time visiting and when I went in, there was no one present. I saw a self ordering kiosk so I just ordered there, assuming that was just the only way to order. But later, a few other customers came in and ordered a couple of bagels at the register, and they somehow were able to get their orders earlier than mine. I ordered a toasted lox bagelwich, but I couldn't taste much of the lox. The bagel was definitely not toasted or very minimally toasted, and there was a lot of onion- almost too much. It was $12 though, so not too bad for bay area prices. The restaurant itself is pretty small with a few seats if you're dining in. I thought the staff were sweet, but I wouldn't recommend getting the lox here. read more

We got a BLT in a cheddar cheese bagel and a Tuna Salad on a sugar bagel with sprouts with an Iced Vietnamese Coffee. There was plenty of bacon in the BLT and it was deliciously filling. One Saturday morning, I wandered over to House of Bagels, where I was surprised to see a line coming out of the shop around 9:30 am. Eager for a lox bagel, I braved the line. In the end, I was awarded with a delicious and filling lox sandwich on an everything bagel. All the ingredients tasted fresh and there was a solid portion of lox in the sandwich (obviously the best part). Not a fan of the principle of how they list the prices and charge you. Came here and got a bagel to go, not cut or toasted or prepared in any way. Just a bagel to go which they threw in a bag. I paid separately for a cream cheese. They charged me about double the menu price which seems to be for a bagel that is prepared for you, toasted, with cream cheese included and some toppings (none of which I got). The absolute difference was a few bucks which isn't a big deal but the principle concerned me. I asked why there was a price difference (from what was listed on the menu and what they charged me) and they couldn't give me a good answer. They didn't correct their mistake. I'm not sure what the point of putting the to-go/unprepared bagel price is when they're going to charge a totally different price. Not a fan of the lack of principle and the sketchiness with the charges. Unfortunately I won't be returning due to this. As for the bagel quality, it's okay. I was craving a NY style bagel. The taste was not bad but definitely a lot smaller/thinner than a NY bagel. Will have to try another spot to become my go-to bagel spot. read more

I been here twice the first time I got my standard everything bagel with a locksmire second time was an onion bagel with a jalapenos and picked up a bag of day olds that they so kindly mixed up for me for just 10 bucks. This place stays busy. Small location, probably fit 8 until it feels crowded. Fast and friendly staff. These folks work fast, multitasking. Took my order and in 5 minutes it was in hand. I got the pastrami on pesto and cheese bagel. Oh my! Mercy!! It was absolutely delicious. The pastrami was good, the veggies were stacked high and fresh. The bagel!! Every bite was as good as the first. The veggies, the pastrami and the pesto cheese synced together in perfect harmony. Had me feel like I never ever had a bagel before. The pesto and cheese was a nice surprise and I'm glad I went that direction instead of the jalapeño and cheese. Will definitely be returning and leaving with a dozen. read more
