Main Street Bagels is not my go to but an easy fix for a bagel breakfast sandwich since it's so close to my house, but prefer Roger's Deli in Mountain View if you want to be real. The bagels are alright, nothing too crazy, the egg is microwaved, the bacon is microwaved but I believe they make their own spread which is nice. They are tentative to your needs and can get a long line depending on the day of the week with having Stan's right next door bringing in a lot of business. The atmosphere is alright, they do welcome you in and are quick with the sandwich's which makes sense since the fillings are nuked in the microwave. Give them a 3 star because I feel it could be better with a little more TLC with their sammies and bagels, but again it's an easy fix if you're in the area. read more

I've been meaning to pick up some bagels from here every time I come shop at Safeway. I finally remembered to do that yesterday. I was so happy to see that they were still open in the afternoon, and also they had my very favorite bagel, the poppy seed which usually is sold out of most places in the morning!! So I got one to have for the next morning for my breakfast. The bagel was a bit underwhelming; it didn't have the dense bready feeling I was looking for and the everything seasoning had a disproportionate amount of sesame seeds. After they toasted my bagel, some parts of the everything bagel seasoning on top was burnt, giving a slight bitter taste. The amount of cream cheese they put is also on the smaller side. Although the garlic cream cheese spread was pretty tasty, there was just not enough in my bagel. The egg was super fluffy and there was a good amount of avocado & bacon, which surprised me (usually places skimp on these two). It came out piping hot as well! I also ordered a half dozen of bagels for later and these also came out fresh and hot. There's a huge menu of bagel sandwiches, both for breakfast and lunch, plus the option for just a classic bagel with cream cheese. There's also plenty of bagel flavors as well, from sweet to savory, plus some croissants and basic pastries. Inside seating is very limited, so take it with you if there's nowhere to sit. Staff was really nice and patient despite being very busy the entire time. The cheese was American cheese. The bacon was not too crispy but not soggy either. The egg was fluffy but maybe could have used some salt. The bagel had a lot of garlic bits and was very fragrant and was not hard to bite into. Service was great, I was greeted right away. I did come on a weekday after the rushes, but I hate going to places when they are busy anyways. The place was calm and clean.
