Happy with the finished result, but not with the customer service or communication. Even though I was told I would receive updates as they happened (such as being notified when they were ready to be installed), I had to reach out several times to find out where we were in the process, only to find out they hadn't sent me the updates like they said they would. When it was finally time to make an appointment, Sarah scheduled me for Wednesday, but told me Tuesday. I took a day off work to be there since the installation was supposed to be 3-4 hours long. I called Sarah when the installation guy didn't show and she realized her mistake, but all she did was push back the next day's installation to 4 PM. This still required me to get into work several hours early so I could leave in time to be home by 4, and it also meant the guy was in my house until about 8:30 that night-- not ideal. They could barely muster up the strength to act like they cared, and made no attempt to rectify the fact that I wasted a full day's vacation time because of their error. When the guy finally showed up to install the shades the next day, he had not been informed about the height of one of the windows and did not bring the right ladder to install the shade on the high window, despite the height being something I pointed out several times during the measurement process. Luckily the two of us got creative and were able to find a way to install it nonetheless, but suffice to say this company has a major communication problem and definitely won't be winning any customer satisfaction awards anytime soon. Blinds for Less. The more accurate name is Blinds for Less Quality, Less Precision, Less Integrity, Less Honesty and Less Service. I seem to not be the only one having a bad experience with this company. Reading the low reviews is like dejavu... If your goal is blinds/shades for a business, a warehouse or an institution that does not care about quality and precision of work, then this is the place for you. If you are a homeowner and of course you care about the results and the aesthetics of the job, then do stay away from this business. When a job goes bad due to the inexperience of your staff (I guess anyone with a measuring tape can call themselves a designer these days), you try to do everything to appease that client and resolve the issue. You can't solve the problem? That's fine, just give your client a discount on the service and don't question your client's integrity. A happy client is your best marketing tool. We were SUPER patient with them and allowed them to come by multiple times to resolve the issue. Even the owner made a trip. He sees the problem with his own eyes and literally ignores it and calls it a job well done and charges us full price. Nice going Blinds of Less. Company promised a certain time frame which was not kept. I've been trying to get updates through out the process and I got the run around and never called back. I requested some sort of contact from the owner to discuss options and all i get is underhanded insults about the contract I signed saying basically everything is final and nothing is their liability. Be very careful when dealing with this company if you need something when promised or you want any kind of transparent follow up. I was told last week that my order was already on the ground to now be told it hasn't even landed in Dallas to be sorted. I'm beyond disappointed and can't believe someone could own a business who doesn't even care enough to contact their clients personally to apologize for large delays. If this is how my experience is going now what happens if something actually goes wrong and I need help? Do we just pick a new scapegoat and pass the buck again? read more

I was very happy with the blinds I received from Blinds for Less. My home has a quite a few windows (16) and I needed blinds for the entire house. I chose faux wood blinds for the bedrooms and roman blinds for the living room and dining room. I was actually quite impressed by the selection of fabrics and colors that Blinds for Less is able to offer in both the faux wood blinds and the roman blinds. I received several other quotes for blinds in a variety of price ranges/quality, and I truly liked the Blinds for Less fabric choices better. Not to mention, I saved probably about $2000 going through Blinds for Less. I was able to outfit my entire home with custom blinds for less than $2400. read more

I needed a hassle-free order & install of a few solar shades for my office, and that is what I got and the some! Measurements were spot on. The sample I got matched the product received. We just contacted this business to provide us with an estimate. The salesperson was more interested in finding out who else I had gotten estimates from and for how much, and talking negative about other blind companies rather than to provide me with information about the blinds. He could not find my house, and already was whining about being lost and having other appointments when he called for directions. He said that he would e-mail an estimate, but we never received anything. We contacted the salesperson to find out what was happening with the estimate, and he said that he had sent it but maybe he had the wrong e-mail, and would resend the estimate. We have not received anything. If a company wants to win my business, but is not able to provide a courteous salesperson or an estimate, how are they going to do a good job? The prices are great, but you definitely compromise a little on quality. That being said I would use them again. The blinds are now almost 3 years old and I have had a few issues with them (a plastic piece that has now broken on 3 different blinds), however when I contacted the customer service department they sent someone out immediately to fix the blinds at no cost to me. read more
