Once AGAIN, the Methodist system confirms why they're "Leading Medicine." Methodist finds you answers. They're customer service and facilities are top notch. This facility was no exception. My mother and I were greeted and treated kindly from the time we entered until the time we left. Everyone that attended to my Mom was patient and considerate as well. It was a short ER visit because they were thorough and got to the root of Mom's issue right away-even taking care of some ear wax that was blocking her hearing and dismissing her soon to be ex PCP for communicating that she pneumonia- for 5 years!!!! This ER found out that her lungs were clear and no pneumonia to be found! If you're not having a life or death situation but you can't get to your PCP or youre in major pain or distress, I definetly recommend a HM Emergency Room like this facility. read more

Drove up to doors and jumped out of my car and headed through the doors and girl behind the desk jump up to come help and two nurses behind her. My husband had a stroke and they were on top of it from getting him out of the car and inside to immediate action. The doctors came immediately. I highly recommend them. I've been to this emergency room 3 times now and I have had nothing but an extremely good experience all 3 times. read more

I've gone here twice ironically once for my appendix and then for my son's appendix. We were met right away with a caring & nurturing staff and the doctors are really low key. The rest of the staff was helpful and supportive towards the care and needs. We didn't have to wait long on either visit and they provided lots of warm blankets & explained procedures so we understood them. Would recommend for any emergency visit read more

I was discharged from the ER and they did not call the correct prescriptions in. I called to get it corrected...... after calling no less than 30 times speaking with numerous people a week later they still couldn't get my steroid pack called in. The solution they gave me was go to another doctor to see if they could fill it for me. Yet they wanted me to pay the bill as if they actually did their job. They never called me back they just kept saying they would get back with me but never did. An er visit is not inexpensive so if I am expected to pay for my visit, I expect my plan of care to be done correctly as discussed prior to discharge. They took forever during the visit. Half the staff was incredibly rude ( not all). The doctor kept asking me when I was going to start weaning my breast feeding baby. I was there for the flu, pneumonia, bronchitis, sinus infection & a busted ear drum and we weren't discussing prescriptions so it was incredibly inappropriate. I mentioned that urgent care had put me on a high dose of steroids and didn't taper off and discussed that I didn't think that was appropriate. The dr agreed and said he would call in a tapering dose so I didn't have any adverse reactions. Along with some antibiotics & nausea medicine. After I consented to plan of care I was discharged and they told me they would electronically send the prescriptions in so I didn't realize they didn't do their job correctly until after I left. This was the absolute worst doctor & overall medical facility I have ever been to. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. You may end up paying to go somewhere else to actually be taken care of. read more

Quinn was absolutely AMAZING! We were admitted very quickly and she went above and beyond! My son was petrified after the horrible experience at the hospital next door(HERMANN), they didn't properly stitch him up so I had to go take him back to the hospital. Not even two hours after being stitched up he was bleeding again. Thanks to Quinn my son was taken care of as quickly as possible (other people were more severe cases) my son is 13 and she took all the steps and had COURAGE and was KIND! Kindness goes a long way! Please remember to thank your service workers! You guys deserve all the praise! Way to go Methodist! I'd rather wait for 12 hours and be treated with dignity vs discrimination and seen in two hours. read more

If you want to be treated poorly & judged- this ER is the place for YOU! After suffering at home for numerous days with what we suspected was Covid (an at home + test?) unable to keep food/liquids down and having difficulty breathing, my husband ended up at the Methodist Cypress ER. During his screening, the nurse questioned him if he was vaccinated and he replied "No." Shortly after she left, the Doctor arrived with her arms crossed with an aggressive attitude and asked him the same question (that she obviously already knew the answer to). He answered again with the same answer. Her response? "Well what do you want me to do about it then?!" Appalling. An ER DOCTOR is someone you go to in a dire time of need- NOT someone to ridicule a patient and be the one to decide if you deserve care or not. Also, it's not her business why my husband is or is not vaccinated in the first place. We 100% completely understand they are overworked and tired right now, but have some compassion. While there, he was never tested for anything... no flu test, NO COVID test- NOTHING. The doctor listened to his lungs and said they sounded GREAT (verbatim)! My husband was rushed out quickly with prescriptions for zofran and an inhaler. We were thankful for that I guess... even though we were already treating him with those at home. THE NEXT DAY he drastically declined... he hesitantly went to a different ER and WAS ADMITTED TO THE HOSPITAL for 3 days (with a negative Covid test might I add). Low oxygen, restricted lungs (that were SO great yesterday) malnourished, dehydrated etc. If he would have been treated properly at Houston Methodist Cypress ER to begin with, instead of practically being turned away due to their personal judgment, he could have possibly avoided being extremely ill and hospitalized. Unfortunately I have had to go 3 times so far this year. The great news - every time was the best experience I have encountered in an ER. It did not feel "stressy" there, it was professional, yet human and positive, given that our health care providers have been overworked, undervalued, underpaid for the last several years. Although there is an ER closer to me, if I can stand the discomfort / pain, I will go there. My initial front desk check-in person seemed a bit tired and not much eye contact, however it was the middle of the night and I was tired too. I gave this a 5 star rating because of all the positive vibes, positive people and comfort I received, especially when they said my Gallbladder had to go. Another occasion more recent, I knew I was going to be hospitalized and dreaded going through the ER at Willowbrook. I went here and they were able to begin treatment and get me a bed at Willowbrook, without having to be admitted through the main ER. Do not go to this place unless you absolutely have no choice. I went Friday and got a history lesson on the types of flu, the causes, was drilled about being around sick people etc. They conducted a nasal swab to determine I have an upper respiratory viral infection, I was given two Motrin that look like Advil and sent home. All i received in my favor was a good 20 min nap $330 later. By night fall my body pain was on 20 and my back was in so much pain I couldn't move which I also told them the pain was 8.5. I self medicated until last night when I went to an actually Urgent Care clinic and they took me in right away. I was given a breathing treatment and a shot, plus antibiotics. The price was $30 as urgent care visits should be, the staff was truthful, attentive and fast. I feel better just knowing I will finally get well and not have to be admitted for not being treated properly. read more

I went in for breathing problems, an elder lady came in 20 minutes after me saying she had chest pains, they immediately took her back whilst having me in the waiting room for, i feel, something more severe, for 30 minutes. I finally said something and then they took me back. I have been in the room for about 20 minutes and no one had came in. Never coming here again. If you want doctors care and you are not vaccinated... DO NOT go here! I've never experienced anything like this at any doctors office or emergency room. I showed up with 102 fever from the delta covid virus. I was shaking with chills and felt like I was going to puke bc my temperature was so high. My temperature has ranged from 100-103 for the last 5 days. The lady doctor came in and asked me if I was vaccinated and I said no. She rolled her eyes and raised her voice and said "I'm sick and tired of people like you that don't get vaccinated!! What you should be doing is go home and tell all your friends how miserable you feel right now so they get vaccinated" I tried to say something but her voice just got louder. So I had to raise my voice and tell her I actually did make a fb post on my high fever which got 100 comments... and I'm sure they woke up a few people. Then she said, that's good. But what is it u want from me?? I'm like shocked. I came in here with a fever of 102 and shaking feeling like I need puke. She didn't give me anything for my fever, no fluids, no z pac, no steroids. NOTHING! Then as I was getting up to leave I said can u please give me something for my nauseous??? So she did that but nothing else and I think it's bc I wasn't vaccinated. As she was finishing up she finally listened to my lungs. Dont you think she should of done that in the first place? She held bsck care and I came in with 102 and left with 102 and sick to my stomach. Definitely DO NOT go here if you want care! For sure don't go there if you're not vaccinated. Update: it's 2 days later after this doctor denied me care and now I'm at another hospital on oxygen bc covid is in my lungs. read more

Just gonna give feedback on my first impression. I brought my wife in because after a week of Covid her symptoms are getting worse. As soon as she said she had Covid the lady taking her info went into a panic looking for gloves and a tall black man began yelling at me to return to my vehicle. The man yelling by the way was NOT wearing a mask. My wife and I were wearing masks and we were standing 6ft away. I understand I had to leave but how after 2 years of Covid are they still acting this way. You work at an emergency center, be a little more professional. I've seen workers at H‑E‑B act with more empathy and professionalism than these people working the front desk of a reputable emergency center. read more

So I'm extremely disappointed in our healthcare system as it is, and this was the topper. I don't even want to give them 1 star, and I'm really debating on contacting the board due to the way everything was handled. I went in at a later time. Every time I go anywhere that's doctor related I know they stop me at the door, and they check your temperature. You know the whole covid procedure, and I stopped, and waited. I was greeted by the sweetest security guard, and a witch of a nurse who judged me as soon as I walked in. She stated are you going to come to the desk? I was shocked they didn't even offer me a medical mask, didn't ask any questions, and stated what was the matter. I shortly walk to the back with my cloth mask. Mind you I've gone to multiple doctor visits over the last few months for different reasons, and I'm always given a medical mask. Not one was offered or even suggested to me. So I go to the back and the first question I was asked was, "why did I decide to come at this hour of the night?" Seriously, it's an ER it shouldn't matter why I'm here just help me. I do the routine questionnaire, and that's the longest I waited. I tell you what they didn't even check my ears, or my lungs they talked about my issue, and that was it. Oh and she checked my blood pressure. Now I understand these doctors are tired, but that doesn't give you the right to talk down to me. Now the doctor was frustrated, because like him I was tired, and I guess I wasn't answering the question correctly enough. He even shook his little head. He had to weigh less then me, and was way shorter then I was. He made me physically sick, and I say that because when he walked in the room, the way he looked at me literally was so upsetting I was in disbelief. Not only did he look rudely at me he talked to me that same way. So when he started to rise his voice at me I did the same thing. Again didn't check my ears, or throat, or anything. He "sort" of diagnosed me and was on his way. I'm appalled and to think my insurance will have to pay for a shitty experience is ridiculous, because I'll be left to pay for the rest of this so called doctor visit. This isn't the first time Methodist has been a horrible experience. Almost a year ago I left the hospital with an IV still in my arm. They had also let me ride home on morphine, and they removed the needle without gloves when I drove back on morphine. I didn't write that review, but I think I might have to get on that since it seems to be a constant with them to have horrible service. So go somewhere else this place isn't worth your time, because according to them you're not with their time either. I had to go in at around 6:30pm on a Monday night. I had a MAJOR gash in my right forearm. They took me in right away. I was out of there by 9:30pm. Which is pretty good considering I ended up getting X-rays and needed about 20 stitches. They were super friendly, very efficient and incredibly friendly. Made me feel so comfortable even during a scary time of Injury. I would recommend this place to anyone in the area! read more

Starting off with my Fiancé is a nurse with her RNBSN, so she has worked along side great nurses and terrible nurses. We have a good feel with both. This place has nothing going for it. After being taken back and given a room, we sat for over 2 hours before the doctor came in. The Nurses ignored us after politely asking what was going on to create such a long wait. Furthermore she got up and said the doctor will be with you when he has time. That other patients are more important. While we understood coming in for the flu might not be a high level priority. Some respect would go a long way for people who have waited over 2 hours.... So if your looking for a place to sit in crappy chairs and be talked to like your at Dick's last resort, your at the right place... read more

Been here a few times, had to be transferred via ambulance once. While no one wants to be here, the experiences were great. The service is good and fast and you get to see a real physician not a nurse practitioner which you may get if you go to a regular hospital ER. You are in and out in two hours tops. If it's an emergency, I definitely recommend coming here! read more

This place is horrible ! Don't go here unless you want the worse care. I've recently moved to cypress and was taken by the ems to this ER from having multiple seizures once i arrived I was placed in a room and my blood was taken right away as they were taking my blood I had blood running down my arm and on the floor ... after that happen the doctor came & was out in 5 sec never have I been to a ER who's doctor walks out so fast with small talk & wanted to already get me out after I suffered multiple seizures and just got In not but 10 minutes ago & they didn't give me a wrist band as normal when you go to the ER .. & didn't notice until before they discharged me. Then after being discharged they put my reasoning for visit as a migraine when I didn't go in for that which was pretty obvious & they said I had a history of some type of seizure that I don't have and was a total different from the seizures I have. This place is trash & will never go here again. read more

If I could give 0 stars I definitely would. I came on a saturday night in need of desperate help because I broke out with bumps from my face to my feet. The staff were amazing & so sweet but the doctor herself was absolutely terrible, she didn't even look at my body throughly (only my left arm) & right away sent me off with a prescription; the next two days were absolutely horrifying my skin only got worse I was covered in red itchy bumps & because of the heat being out in public only irritated my skin even more. I was finally able to go see my regular PCP & come to find out i was totally diagnosed wrong, can you believe that.!? my pcp gave me the correct medication & within a day my skin started to clear up. I would not recommend this place to a soul, being wrongly diagnosed & getting worse after seeking help no one should ever go through, especially children. Stay clear of this place, there are better doctors out there that will take the time to take care of you. read more
