I stopped by Ten-Four auto today for a smog check…read more Walked into the office and was met with a clean space and cool air-conditioning. Was helped by a courteous gentleman at the counter, and within 3 minutes handed over my keys and sat down in the comfortable waiting area as the crew went to work! Closeout was a breeze as I signed my name on the invoice then paid for services with Apple Pay. Will definitely be back to Ten-Four Auto.

If I could give zero stars, I would. My sister brought her…read morevehicle to Ten Four Auto for a power steering leak. Instead of fixing the actual problem, they upsold her over $2000 worth of work, and returned the vehicle still leaking- actually worse than before. Because my sister had to leave town, I personally dealt with the shop afterward. They kept the vehicle back and forth a total of 4 weeks, during which their clearly incompetent technicians couldn't identify the source of the leak. After all that time, they suddenly claimed they "found" the leak and of course, wanted even more money to fix it. Ricky, the so-called "manager," was fake, dishonest, and straight up lied to my face. He claimed they never touched the reservoir that was leaking - which is impossible, because that part must be transferred when replacing the power steering pump they already installed. This shows their complete lack of knowledge, or intentional dishonesty. The vehicle was NEVER FIXED, and I had to take it to another shop. What we did get was weeks of wasted time, money burned on Ubers going back and forth, and nonstop gaslighting instead of accountability. This shop preys on customers who don't know cars and just try to upsell, deflect, and lie when things go wrong. Educate yourself before taking your vehicle to ANY shop, but most importantly-- AVOID THIS ONE. Absolutely terrible experience from start to finish.

HAVEN'T FOUND A HONEST AUTO SHOP YET ITS A SHAME! initially…read moreplanned to have my motor mounts replaced at Johnny's Auto Repair, but I requested a inspection first to check the passenger side tire because it felt off shaky so I wanted to make sure it was safe and a comprehensive inspection to identify any additional repairs that could be addressed during the same service. While the vehicle was on the lift, the experience shifted from a routine service to a series of significant red flags. Deceptive Diagnostics: A service advisor named Jose showed me torn CV boots and torn boots on the struts. He then pointed to a groove on the inner face of the driver-side front rotor (the side closest to the engine) and pointed at the brake pads, claiming I required a complete brake replacement on all four wheels. As someone who replaced my front brakes less than a year ago and knows the condition of my vehicle, I could see clearly that the pads still had plenty of life and did not need replacement. Despite using the "damaged" rotor as his primary evidence for a massive repair bill, he never once mentioned replacing or resurfacing that specific rotor in his recommendation. It was a clear attempt at a predatory and unnecessary upsell. Documentation & Transparency Issues: I was told I needed a radiator cap, two front axles, all four struts, and full brakes. When I requested an itemized price list to review the cost of parts vs. labor for the $3,400 quote, I was handed a small, hand-torn scrap of paper itemized breakdown is unprofessional and fails to meet the transparency standards required by the Bureau of Automotive Repair (BAR). Between the deceptive "faulty" brake pads and the lack of proper documentation, I can only conclude that they thought I was a dumb person who knew nothing about cars because I am a women I can no longer trust this shop. I strongly advise anyone visiting this location to get a second opinion and demand a formal, written estimate before agreeing to any work. Shame on you Jose You came highly recommended.

I reached out to Refined Auto with the same request, and it was a more reasonable price, especially since I had no idea if I needed to do anything to my rotors. My dad was present while Cesar worked on my car, and my dad gave me such a glowing review of how Cesar worked. My dad has not been able to stop talking about how Cesar did an amazing job on my car, how clean he works, how he keeps his tools, and his communication. My dad was so impressed with the quality of work Cesar provided on my car that he decided to get a quote for replacing his rotors. When Ceasr finished on my car, he let me know that my brake fluid was not in good condition. He drained my brake fluid and replaced it with new fluid. He explained to me in detail that brake fluid should not be topped off. I had no idea, and apparently, my dad didn't know either, and we had topped it off because it was low. Now, I know, for future reference, that when it's low, I should replace my brakes. I appreciate the work that Cesar did on my car and his communication. I will absolutely use his service again and recommend him to friends and family.
