I had a blade stuck on one of my tires and needed tire repair. I had no appointment, so I went to their other location in La Habra first right when it opened at 8am. La Habra location couldn't take me because they said they already had 8 appointments that morning, but called their Whittier location (this one I'm reviewing, and about 4 miles away) if they are free to take walk-ins, and that's how I ended up here. I was immediately helped and they started working on my tire within a few minutes I got there. I was in and out in about 30 minutes. They did my tire repair for free. This is my first time going to Daniel's, so I'm not a repeat customer or anything, so I'm amazed they did it for free! When I was a little kid, I thought this was the same Daniels Tire Service as the La Habra location. Both are on the south side of Whittier Boulevard, and they had identical signs. I guess I didn't understand the idea of (non-fast-food) chains when I first learned to read. My dad used to take our cars to the La Habra Daniels for service. There was a mechanic there whom he liked. That mechanic has since retired, and I don't know how, why, or when; but my dad started pushing me in the direction of this Daniels whenever I needed tires, an oil change, etc. I've had my oil changed here three or four times, and they've also rotated my tires more than once. Most recently, I had both of those services plus an alignment and a headlight-bulb replacement. I can't complain about any of the service I have received here. Everything has been done well, and it's always ready when they say it will be ready. Be sure to call ahead to find out whether they have time to get your service done that day. The man you'll be dealing with is Jeff. He's a no-nonsense, efficient character, and he's honest; if you don't need a service, he'll let you know up front. It's not a cheap place, but it's not terribly expensive, either, and they don't nickel-and-dime you on random parts. In fact, I think they've thrown in or discounted some small parts when I've had more major work done here. They also mail coupons for discounts on things like oil changes, brakes, and tires to people in the neighborhood. read more

Recently, they completely went above and beyond for me. They were so helpful! I found out I had a nail in one of my tires and it was loosing air, I called that morning and they told me to bring my car by whenever worked for me they would fit me in. They patched my tire and rotated my tires for free! I also got an oil change and they got all three things done in just over an hour, they called me and let me leave my car there until I could come and pick it up in a few hours. Would like to hail Daniel's Tire Service manager/crew not just for their prompt business/good work but their genuine care when servicing my vehicle for its required oil change. They did check my vehicle's 5th tire (spare) too and I found out it was 19 psi below its rated tire pressure. Jose, the mechanic, let me know about it. Had a smile on my face and told him, "You're the first one who told me such important information..." Jay, the manager that Saturday, Aug 20, 2022, told me that it was their practice to check all 5 tires of each vehicle that come to their shop. Had to return the next Tuesday, Aug 23rd. Jeff, another manager, took me in right away. When I tried to show my receipt as proof that I was there that past weekend, he said, "It's okay, we'll rotate your tires and you'll be on your way." Told myself, "Wow, these guys made my life a lot easier!" Yup, those three Js (Jay B., Jose G., and Jeff G.) made a good impression indeed and they weren't even trying. Daniels Tire saved our camping trip! Imagine this...it's Saturday afternoon, trailer is loaded with gear and you as a single mom are heading out to take your teenage son and his friends overnight camping to fish. You hook up the trailer and begin to pull out of the driveway and notice in your side mirror the trailer has a completely flat tire. You try fix a flat thinking and praying it will work. It doesn't. The trailer has small tires, it's 3pm Saturday afternoon and the trip has been planned for weeks, where the heck am I supposed to get a trailer tire. Not wanting to disappoint 5 teenage boys I frantically begin calling every shop in town and hardware store looking for a replacement. No one has one. NO ONE has one. Desperate I call Daniels praying for a solution and speak with their manager Jeff. Jeff empathetically and enthusiastically encourages me to come on down to have the tire looked at. After teaching my son how to change a tire I rush down they close in 33 min. Like a bat out of hell I rush to make the cut off time hitting every red light. I'm 3 mi away but it feels like I'm lost in time and can see the hands of the clock spinning faster and faster like in an old twilight zone episode. I make it with 13 min to spare. Jeff greeted me at my car and begins walking around inspecting my suv tires and I quickly interrupt saying I'm just here for a trailer tire, I don't need anything else. Jeff's quick eye points out that two of my tires are bald. He asks one of his guys to check the trailer tire and repair it then explains with my suv being front wheel drive it's not safe to tow with two balding front tires. I'm about to cry at this point because I know my wallet is empty I can't afford two new tires. Jeff senses The situation and asks for my keys. He takes the car to a bay and rotates the tires in the name of safety for free! During rotation they found a nail and repaired it, that tire only had 10lb of air in it, it's amazing we hadn't had an accident. While waiting for the tire repair and my suv to be done Jeff engaged in heartfelt conversation in which I learned what an awesome business the owner of Daniels tires runs and how dedicated he is to his employees reaching far beyond the role/obligations of a business owner. When all was said and done I fully expected a large bill for the services rendered however Jeff handed me my keys and sent me on my way for our camping trip. Jeff went above and beyond. He saw I was frazzled and recognized early on I wasn't in a position to spend a lot of money, he also was immensely concerned with our families safety and took steps above and beyond to ensure not only that I was able to take the boys on their camping trip but to ensure we got there and home safe. To say Daniels Tires has gone above and beyond is an understatement. The level of customer service I received and personalized attention is a rare thing in todays business world. I went there expecting to spend what little I had left in the bank, just a couple hundred dollars but left richer as a result of the impeccable service I was given. It was humbling and eye opening to find a business run with such care...years ago Walt Disney taught his employees the power of good customer service a business trait long forgotten in todays era however what I found at Daniels tires was a family run business based on kindness, ethically run that isn't out to take your money with employees that genuinely love their jobs and feel blessed to be an employee working for the owner. To me that speaks volumes. I will get all my tire needs at Daniels moving forward. For a company to be willing to do something good without expectation of anything in return is HUGE! I will gladly pay to have my car serviced there even if it's cheaper someolace else because they value their customers. Kudos to Jeff and the crew that helped me. To the owner, you are immensely blessed to have Jeff leading your team. The communication and camaraderie between your employees is on point and the customer service is top shelf, Walt Disney style something to be proud of. Spoke with daniels tires service over the phone, today. Asked if they could diagnose my vehicle, because of a misfire. They said, yes so, I asked what time they close? Their response was 5pm. Even Google states that they're closed at 5pm. I leave work early, show up with my car on a tow truck at 430pm, shop is closed, no one answers the door or the phone. Waste of a tow and my time.
