I have gotten all my piercings here. I have had a good experience almost every time I have gone in. I did get my lip pierced and not even two days later the piercing came undone, I went back in to get it screwed back in and the guy who helped me was so rude, was very rough with my lip, (which was still swollen from the piercing days before) it was just a horrible experience. After a long time of looking for the best place to get pierced i decided to check this location out and i am very happy with the decision i made. It's been 1 week since my piercing and is healing very well. When i walked in i was welcomed by the receptionist she was very pleasant and was very well informed. I expressed my nervousness of this type of piercing and she explained to me that i can fill out two different types of forms one a consultation and an actual piercing. I decided to go with the piercing one to waste less time. My piercer was Nicola. She could tell i was nervous and tried to make me comfortable as much as possible. Once she answered all of my questions and gave me plenty of encouragement as she could tell i wanted the piercing but was just nervous helped me get through it. She gave me all the time i needed without feeling rushed to get it done. She kept up the positivity throughout the whole entire piercings. She kept the vibe mellow and positive which i found helpful. When she was piercing she was well focused and made sure the not only they were even but also that they were done right, Thank you Nicola for the experience, and thank you for making it a positive one. At the end of the piercing some may experience shock with the pain which i did and she let me lay down as long as possible. After that the receptionist told me all about how to take care of it and everything i needed to watch out for. I went on a Wednesday which i would recommend because they are not as busy as i would expect them to be on a weekend. Very happy with the whole experience and if i do decide to go back for something else i will go back to this location along with seeing Nicola! Also wanted to add that i was pleased with the amount of cleanliness she changed her gloves constantly never contaminating them and touching something sanitized everything was opened in front of me and wiped down. Several weeks ago I left my jewelry in the hands of Nicola who has just moved here from Florida. I gave her a box of my jewelry of over 70 pieces which most of them were already autoclave day Kat who has left HTC for other opportunities. Nicola took my jewelry for over two weeks and did less less than twenty pieces to autoclave. For two weeks I called her with no returned phone calls at all. Only today did I demand the return of my jewelry which she PROMISED BY 6/30/2016. I never got a phone call until I called the Tempe location and talked with an old friend of mine JD who stepped in for the manger at this location while the other manager is out of town. Currently they have a "GUEST PIERCER" ASH who is rude, is NOT HTC at all only a guest piercer who HUNG UP ON ME TODAY WHEN I DEMANDED my jewelry back. Low and behold my jewelry was in the shop which I could have picked up anytime. Nicola only did 1/3 of the work and most were still in the original packs which were done years ago. Completed pieces were less than 20 done plus I gave her a healthy tip to do all the work. I have been going to HTC for over 20 years for my piercings by Dana. I am considered a "first gen" HTC'er. Ash hung up on me only to give my partner a hassle over picking up my box of jewelry. She is not HTC, has no authority, is not management , and needs to be replaced as soon as possible. Along with Nicola. Incompetent employees are never good for the business at all, A guest piercer, a new piercer who has little experience dealing with people. They have to go. Please boycott the place on 20th Ave and I-17 until the regular piercer comes back in August, they have no right being there at all. Please reconsider your plans until August. Don't deal with Nicola or Ash, they are totally rude, mean, and just don't care about customer service , deal with the professionals, not not rookies who take your money and just don't care about you who have a right to get the best , they are NOT .. If inhale to sit outside HTC for the weekend I'll do it. Please teach them a lesson. Boycott the placement until August. They don't even appreciate for doing their work on you. Bill read more

I had the best experience here the other night! JD is awesome as is the apprentice Steph. They were super patient with me in trying to decide which ring i wanted for my nose. I had gotten my nose done a few years back at Halo and it had closed and this experience at HTC was night and day. They gave me a way better post, explained difference between the way the studs sat and they were just overall awesome. Spent lots of time and just wanted to make sure i was happy with what i got. Super clean and way awesome staff ! Steph is only $10 for piercings on thurs nights and I would highly recommend. Can't say enough about my experience!! read more

The tall red headed woman with dimple piercings has a very condescending and smug attitude. They have a no return policy the second you walk out the store, which she did not explain to me either when i purchased the jewelry. The jewelry i bought turned out to be defective. After purchasing a set of earrings that required a few extra holes, I moseyed on down to the HTC to talk with the staff about strategy. I was fortunate to speak with Dana (though I'm sure the other staff is just as courteous and knowledgeable), who suggested that I return with the jewelry I would eventually install. When I received it in the mail, we had a second meeting of the minds and he helped me choose the placement of my new accoutrement. Of course, it is the policy of this establishment, as any reputable piercing place would have it, that the piercee must use jewelry purchased at the location. Dana suggested some affordable hoops for my healing time, and made the experience very pleasant. Beyond the whole poking needles thing, the aftercare discussion was involved and careful, and made me feel as if the staff really had a vested interest in my ear not becoming inflamed or falling off or anything. The price was reasonable, and the level of professionalism and genuine pleasantness was refreshing. It can be a challenge at times to approach a socially "cool" business and instantly feel like a nerd because of the staff's attitude, but the warmth and genuine niceness of the staff at this location made my experience a great one. This was my first time getting my nose piercing and they were absolutely amazing!! They were patient, kind, and just down right funny. I spent a good 20 minutes deciding on a piercing (I know I know but it was my first piercing sue me! Also time tends to get away from me) but they're were patient the whole time, even answered some of the dumb questions I had. Toward the end though we all had a good laugh and just joked around for a little bit (I was their last customer for the night, so no worries people they won't keep you waiting). Not only this but JD (the guy who pierced my nose and made it as painless as possible and super funny) gave me a free small facial wash/everything wash (which also rocks). He helped me out cause he could probably tell I was hesitant to spend anymore money (I spent like 110 on my piercing, yours will be cheaper, I was a sucker for the gold piercing ‍) conclusion??? I really love this place! I've never had a bad experience here, the last time I came in Nick was so patient and helpful helping me pick out my jewelry. They are my go-to place, I plan on going back again soon to do my tragus and I know I'll be in good hands! For those saying the area around the shop is shady, good lord, get over it. The shop is very clean and nice, just because it's not in Snobsdale doesn't mean it's a bad place. The overall service at this place was great. I called prior to visiting shop and asked some questions regarding a re-piercing a navel piercing and Alex was very informative over the phone and said some key things that impressed me and showed professionalism. I didn't bother calling the other shops I had on my list. I went to HTC and continued to receive service and answers that made me know I had made the right choice. My piercer, sorry I can't remember her name, but her energy was contagious; she talked me through the whole process! Before we knew it it was all over...my friend was somewhat disappointed that it wasn't long drawn out process LOL!! These 2 ladies were great...Alex didn't charge me for something I did't need (a piercing) but saved me that cost by fully assessing my current piercing and asking the right questions! This review is long overdue! I had gotten two cartilidges on my left ear done here while on vacation in Arizona! The lady at the register as well as my piercer were both very knowledgeable and friendly. I had originally walked in wanting an industrial, but after the piercer took a look at my ear, she calmly and politely informed me that my ear was an improper shape for that specific piercing. If I got the industrial, my ear would have an increased chance of infection, and likely wouldn't heal. She was very professional. I was glad to know that she saw this and didnt pierce me regardless! Though I was dissapointed that I couldn't get the bar, I compromised by getting 2 cartilidge in my left ear instead. I love them to this day! Also, while getting actually pierced, the piercer was very talkative and friendly which helped calm my nerves excessively. I couldnt have had a better experience! Thank you! read more

I have gotten my gauges upsized three times, nipples, nose, and industrial done here.
