Staff was personable. Omelets were fluffy. Hashbrowns were not warm, about room temperature. Coffee and tea were both weak, strange.

Walked in and there were only three tables occupied. Cool! Two servers! After waiting 10 minutes to get our drink order we waited another ten minutes. Still no drinks. Our server was standing 20 feet away at the counter counting something from a little pouch. As we got up to leave she stared at us distantly. And off to another place and down road we zipped. What can you say, its Huddle House. The food is generally pretty good for what you're paying for. Best waffles in town in my opinion, and that's generally all I look forward too. The service is hit or miss, most of the time it's a miss though. When they are slower it is usually better (as it is assumed to be), but when it's busy you better be sure to take it easy on your drink, as refills are a rarity! Also, the restaurant can get out of hand (messy) pretty quickly. Once, we came to sit and eat with friends. I accidentally spilled my water with ice on the floor next to our booth. No joke, at least three crew members saw the mess, even walked over it and on it, and did not bother cleaning it or putting up a "Wet Floor" sign. Now that is just pure laziness. Regardless, we always think about eating here and most likely will always come back, so this place gets three stars in our book because the food keeps bringing us here, and we are limited on options in our area. read more

Solid Diner style food. If you're familiar with Waffle House, this is similar. Usually we order breakfast (always greasy, but tasty). Yesterday we both ordered burger meals. For around $7.60 you can get a double bacon cheeseburger with fries and a drink. Seemed a little high for value, but it was nice to sit down and eat. You can opt up your sides. My family and I stopped here while traveling in Chiefland. We had never been to a Huddle House before, but decided to try it for dinner, after a long day on the road. The place was busy and we got the last table available. Gwen was our server and she was good. She, also was very busy trying to keep everything rolling. She was very kind and very personable. I had the patty melt, hubby had the burger. Both burgers were very overdone, but still edible. All the customers seemed happy and content. Really enjoyed visiting and hope they build a Huddle House close to my home. read more

Food was mediocre and service was OK. Prices seemed a bit much for what you get. The waitress had to ask us what our order was about 3 times. The place felt dirty and sticky. The tater tots were amazing. read more

Thankfully they had gas pumping during Hurricane Irma evacuation. Even had an attendant out there directing cars to the pumps to improve efficiency. Lots of secure space to pull over, walk dogs and nap. Strangely, ordered breakfast to go at this diner and was informed it is eat in only. Unfortunate for us. I've been once and while nothing was horrible... nothing was great either... but what do you expect from Huddle House?!

We've been here twice and BOTH times the food was fantastic!! In fact, someone who works nearby recommended the place because that's where she and her colleagues get their lunch! The service was awesome! We went at lunch time both times and luckily, the same waitress took our orders. I had chicken tenders and a baked potato and my husband had breakfast for lunch! The prices are very reasonable and the meals are just the right size. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone--well during the lunch hour. I've never been there at night. read more

I will give it 2 because the first 3 times we went we had a good experience, the other 3 times we had errors made to our orders on all 3 occasions. We finally decided to say something to the manager (after 3 errors) and he was nice and apologetic and offer to comp. us. So still willing to give it another chance we stopped by again this Tuesday, only to be served by the rudest woman ever (all the other servers had been nice). To make matters worst, I think she was a manager or someone in charge! The icing on the cake was that we spent our entire meal swatting away flies. I don't mean 1 or 2 pestering ones, I mean about 7 FLIES WERE ON US THE ENTIRE TIME !!!! Finally we decided to leave. Get to the register and honestly tell her that she forgot to charge us for something...thinking she was going to say, yes I noticed your discomfort throughout your meal. But, no. She tells me "ooops I charged another table for it". What? I paid for it anyways and hope those poor folks got a credit. After paying I said "you are having a fly problem, huh?" Hoping that she would at least apologize, but instead she says "yup". That's it, one word. YUP. Not yes, and we are working on it, or yes, and I am sorry. She said Yup and turned around and kept going about her business. We will not be back :( read more

We go to this Huddle House at least once a month or more. We have only been there for breakfeast. Each time it has been busy, this is a medium size reastuarant/diner. Everything my husband and I have had there, has been really good, no complaints. I am a breakfeast person, love scrambled eggs. They are my favorite there and have a great flavor. My husband and I sat at the counter this time, I don't really like watching people cook my food. While we were waiting for our food, we saw the cooks and waitstaff work their butts off. Excellant example of multitasking and working as a team. It appears there is at least one person that keeps everything flowing by calling out the orders and checking that food is on the right plates, while he is also cooking. I haven even seen him take the orders to the tables. He is a young man with dark hair and a close shaven beard. We are in our 60s and have eaten out and worked for many years. The business and the managers are only as good as their people. They are all excellent and friendly workers. I hope their employer will praise and appreciate them. read more

Have been there 6 times in 6 months, was pleasantly surprised at first, food was good, and Caleb our server was awesome. Sadly tho, all good things come to an end. Took our guests from NY in for breakfast over Memorial weekend. Took a while to get drinks, then after placing our orders we got our food in piecemeal fashion... I got my waffle 10 minutes before anything else, two of the orders came without the toast until just before they were finished eating and then the toast was cold butter wouldn't melt on it, hubby got his waffle after he had eaten the rest of his meal. I watched the line cooks... REALLY!?!?!? they do not communicate with each other, the floor was absolutely filthy and dangerous for the cooks, and people who were seated after us and ordered after us got their meals before us! Won't be back, it is just more of the same, absentee owner letting staff that is half trained at best run the place. It's a shame, it could be an awesome business, but I figure it will close down as it has in the past! Our meals were comp'd but the experience ruined the whole thing.
