I took my wife to celebrate a post Father's Day meal since she worked on that day. Ambience is worth 5 stars Food was a rollercoaster ride... started off great with the whipped feta appetizer then I asked for some guidance and waiter recommended the scallops which I do love and my wife the A1 grade Tuna. Both had good flavor but weren't prepared properly. My scallops didn't have a "crust" and her tuna wasn't seared on outside causing it took cook more than requested. We had a blueberry tiramisu for dessert and it was good. Light and airy with good blueberry flavor but missing the coffee flavor most tiramisu highlight. Food gets 3 stars Definitely recommend you try this restaurant out at least once as it has a lot of potential to be a great experience.

It appears to be (and is) a resort out in the wilds, near the Goethe State Park. We asked for recommendations and settled on salmon and sea scallops entrees and the recommended appetizer (spicy crab hush puppies). The salmon on puréed black eyed peas - not going to lie - worried me a little, but it was delicious!! The grilled asparagus was very good - cooked but not too mushy. The sea scallops on a bed of rice was also delicious, the green beans, like the asparagus, were superbly cooked. As we were nearly finished with dinner, the live music began - subdued folk music. It fit the atmosphere perfectly. We skipped dessert only because we were full, b

Amazing. Spectacular. We've been talking about this place the entire weekend…read more We stumbled across Biscuit barn as hungry tourist. We were immediately greeted with a warm "hello" by a lovely waitress who put us on a 15 minute waitlist. About 10ish minutes goes by and my name was called, the place was very busy and the staff appear very attentive like they were pros at handling a little chaos. My boyfriend ordered the chicken co-op and I ordered the country eggs Benedict. These were some of the best biscuits we've ever had. This is a no frills kinda place but delicious. For 2 extremely full breakfast, a side of corn beef hash and 2 iced coffees (they even put ice on the side for us) with tip the meal was $43 and we took home half of our plates.

The grits and biscuits were delicious. The biscuits were golden brown, soft on the inside, and perfectly paired with the sausage gravy. The grits were also very well made, and perfect in the bowl! Three complaints: (1) parking was limited but definitely of size for the seats available in the restaurant; (2) the coffee was WAY too strong, bitter, and lacking normal coffee notes; and (3) they added a restaurant fee on the ticket. Still, we'd go again!
