Another larger Hispanic group came up after us, we all made room for them to sit on the benches and talked with them, having a nice time. There was an Hispanic waitress and she came over and eventually seated them before us. After having waited our time and then some. When we initially tried to speak to a manager he was extremely rude!! But the young Black woman saw what was happening and made sure the table we had waited for, and was cleaned for us was finally given to us because they were about to give our table away AGAIN to another family that of course didn't look like us, simply because they demanded it. However!! Once we were finally seated we had an AMAZING waitress, her name was Allie, she catered to us as if we were royalty! The food was okay... But the customer service from the wait staff was as Amazing, and restored us to our previous happiness to be out as a family!! Not sure if I would visit again, but Thank you Allie, and the young woman who made sure we were finally seated properly! You guy's Rock! I mention our experience because it is extremely important! We as a community work Extremely hard for the things we have. WE aren't expecting anything more from you than is required when serving people in a restaurant! That is all. My plate looked like it had just came out of the dish washer I cleaned it so good ! We lucked out by going on a Wednesday which is 20% off for seniors 65+ so we all received the discount! The coffee was great. The place is not huge but it is very clean and cozy feeling. Just slightly smaller than the First Watch we usually go to but the food was better and that's an accomplishment! It's in Sugar Hill, GA about 45 minutes from my house but definitely worth the drive. Well, I took a chance with bluemountaincoffee.com and I was very impressed! then, when they ran out of a popular high end estate they put a note on it, when it'll be back, etc. the previous company just started sending lower grade instead of having the integrity, like Chuck & Edgar, and mark it out of stock I started getting subpar coffee. I tried another that is the most expensive roaster and they charge way too much and their coffee is subpar now too. I have purchased Sir Johns Peak, Flamstead, Clydesdale and (the absolute best) Clifton Mount Estates. They love what they do, love the coffee and care a whole lot about their customers. When they ran out of Clifton Mount for a short time Chuck told me he'd be getting some Clydesdale Estate. He then said "we'll have to taste it first..." WOW! They make sure it's up to their standards before they put it on their website!! That won me over. First, can we get a round of applause for WH keeping the show running so smoothly even with such a short staff? I mean, this kitchen literally had one cook in it preparing breakfast for a regular sized crowd. One. Imagine being one sole cook in a kitchen.....and making it work. Naturally, we didn't wait very long to get our food. The waitress was extremely patient with my friends who, for some reason, could not decide what to order for like...30 minutes. It was technically a 26 year reunion in the making, so I'll let it slide. Oh, before I forget....you guys HAVE to try the chocolate chip waffles. They taste like chocolate cake! Second greatest mouth-hole experience of my life. Moving on.. The thing I love about this location is that they demonstrate how it is totally possible to provide decent to good service in a place, even during a short staffed pandemic. Just one thing though.. WH is no longer 24/7. At least, not THIS location. Know what time they close? 2pm. Remember how I said they only had one cook in the kitchen? That's why. Times suck for....pretty much all businesses right now. Too many openings, not enough employees to go around. Yelpers need to take this into consideration before rating a place on service. With all that said, this place shows us how it's done. But if you're ever in doubt about the seriousness of the ongoing crisis, just remember: Waffle House closes at 2 now. Yup. That's how you know shit just got real. Time was, this place only shut down during a level 5 hurricane. And even then, only if the restaurant itself was destroyed or completely gone. Much like a "Where's Waldo" portrait, the longer you look, the more you see. Except instead of a dopamine hit, it's a slight feeling of dread that compounds with every find. First, we have two drinks out of order. That happens, no big deal. As we continue to look at the machine we notice its base is propped up by two styrofoam cups. Still weird, but not too nasty. To the right there are also no napkins. I find this is more than a minor inconvenience when eating finger food. Lastly, but certainly most unsettling, is the bug trap set up just to the left of the machine. I appreciate you using a trap, but right next to drinks and where food is bound to be put down? After 10 minutes, I alone received my food. Except it wasn't what I ordered. I ordered the sandwich pictured in the restaurant which was advertised as the chicken salad sandwich and received what consisted of lettuce, tomatoes, and chicken. I clarified I had actually ordered the chicken salad sandwich (because this was obviously not that) and the singular man assured me that was correct. Another 15 minutes pass by and the rest of my family gets their food. The glorified bar food was mediocre at best and my family wasn't even interested in finishing. He also forgot an order of fries. This is impressive because of the 5 customers in the entire building, my family was 5 of them. As we were leaving, another poor man and his family walked in to order. I felt a moral obligation to turn him away. This was also right as we passed the pitiful 80 on the inspection report. I usually let this stuff go, but as someone who appreciates food, I felt it would be a disservice to society to let this place continue to have an inflated 4.4 stars. It was cooked properly and had good flavor. The lettuce leaf under it was different; I think I could have done without. The fish came with my choice of two sides and I picked the green beans and the cornbread stuffing. Both were quite salty. The green beans were not very green and overcooked. There were two elbow macaroni mixed in. The cornbread was mushy and covered in gravy. It tasted fine, I just would have preferred more texture. Both beers were very good. I had a sour to start that was like a very tart pink lemonade. The pink color came from blueberries but I'm not sure I detected any blueberry flavor. My second beer was That Coconut Porter and it was mellow and smooth with good coconut flavor and nice dark color. There was lots of street parking and many shops and restaurants in the area. A band began playing in the taproom next to the restaurant at some time. Also a large outdoor space that was full of kids running around playing as I was going home. Looked like a fun place for everyone.

I live in metro ATL and have heard about Juke N Jive, but because they're so far away I've never…read moremade it out. I was so happy to try them at the Atlanta Ice Cream Festival! Apparently their strawberry flavor is nationally recognized, so I had to try that one. I'm not sure if they were charging normal prices at the festival, but I felt that it was a fair amount of ice cream for what I paid. At first, the strawberry tasted as it should - I wasn't amazed, but I did really appreciate the strawberry swirls. I finished the ice cream thinking that it was definitely a solid strawberry flavor! I then tried another ice cream vendor at the festival who was also selling strawberry, and that's when I could really taste the difference. Juke N Jive's strawberry was far better, as it carried a strawberry flavor through and through, while the other vendor's flavor was lacking. Will have to stop by their shop sometime!
