HUDEPOHL COLLECTS PAYMENTS AND ABANDONS THE PROJECT !!! First floor remodel including full kitchen outback from insurance claim has been a COMPLETE DISASTER. Project started in February 2024 with a completion date of mid May quoted. It's now early September and our home is in a worse condition than when they started. What's been done is mostly done wrong and we're stuck living with what's installed being "roughed in". Incompetent project management sub contractors have resulted in three separate attempts to install new flooring to the point the entire floor must be torn out and replaced. They cut into a large cardboard box in my garage for my business to use it to level the flooring. Oven cabinet and all but two of 18 cabinet doors need replaced. One upper cabinet is installed inverted and several cabinets were installed damaged or damaged by the installers. Three projected completion dates have been missed and now the company has ABANDONED the job for over two months and will not return calls or emails after the OWNER, Tom Hudepohl reviewed the issues and PROMISED to resolve them promptly. A closer review of the quote also revealed numerous overcharges and redundant charges for customer purchased items or items quoted that were never delivered. Hudepohl is clearly in breach of contract and our only option looks to be one of litigation at this point. We've been completely abandoned by Hudepohl. Do not use this company. Water damage to a bathroom, they came out and conducted their "walk-through" and then left. Found out they had already been paid by the insurance company (USAA) and it has been going on for 2 months with no response to our calls and no fix for the bathroom. Now the "mailbox" is full and not accepting messages. Contacted USAA. Rep. said they were "out of the loop" since the contractor had been paid but were able to register a complaint and request this company not be used. read more

Do NOT use this company! Wish I could give them negative stars. Referred by insurance company due to dishwasher water damage in kitchen and beyond. They replaced flooring and baseboards. Flooring job was awful- soft spots which led to gaps and cracks in the laminate, missing and non-matching cabinet toe kicks, damaged lazy susan cabinet so it doesn't rotate smoothly. Had them come back out to fix flooring problems and even though they did replace some flooring, the soft spots and flexing remain. Now have a new laminate crack and do not want them to come out a third time. read more

This was by far the worst experience I've ever had with any company. Of the two homes I've owned this was my first property damage claim, which was difficult enough, however Hudepohl turned into into a stress filled nightmare. The project manager lied repeatedly, the workers caused additional damage to brand new cabinets and flooring, showed up when're they pleased and would work for a couple of hours and then leave without warning. They installed our sink/plumbing incorrectly causing it to back up. They were given multiple chances to fix the issues they created and without notice decided to remove themselves from the project. read more

Hudepohl Restoration is super easy to communicate with and schedule work to be done. Scott did an amazing job remodeling after my sink flooded my kitchen. He even called ahead to see if it was okay to be 20-30 minutes EARLY! I couldn't have asked for a better company to come out to my home and fix the damage in my home- they definitely took the stress off of my shoulders and made the whole process a breeze. Our house burned down and we regrettably hired this company to do the demolition of our house. They started demo without notifying my husband or I that work was being done. We had not had the chance to inventory the items we had salvaged, that we had placed in our garage. The contractor manager, Vicki Dick had told her subcontractors that since the house was considered a total loss by insurance, they could take what they wanted and just throw away the rest. Items that were stolen include a handgun, high end cosmetics, high end wallets/purses, hair dryers, curling irons, a sewing machine, and numerous tools taken from the garage that were in a tool chest. We've filed a police report and they are currently under a police investigation. The owner, Thomas Hudepohl, had stated that he'd give us free upgrades to our house and make it better than it was before, as an apology. We did not accept that offer and had fired them as our contractors. This company is so unprofessional, untrustworthy, and will take advantage of you if they can. Do not hire this company. They will scam you and try to blame it on someone else. read more

My insurance company USAA brought this company to me. In my 40 years with USAA I have never been so disappointed. At first Tom H and the estimate process was good. It went downhill from there. I had to repeatedly call and finally when I talked to Victoria L. Dick, WTR|OC|FSRT and she said she would take the work order it just got worse. They received checks to be co-signed by me in August and as of 30 Sept work has not begun. We tried to upgrade the bathroom floor upstairs and worked with their supplier. They promised a Monday 9 Sept visit and slipped to Thursday. Then Thursday they did not show and did not call. When they did arrive their floor expert could not figure out transition strips and if they were committed they could have started on the kitchen but elected to depart. Their communication is non-existent, they appear incompetent and they exhibit zero customer service. I asked USAA to void the checks which they did and to file my complaint and hopefully never use them again to aid our men and women in uniform. They are unreliable and anyone considering using them should proceed with caution. read more

We had a major roof leak as a result of the recent storm. Walls and ceiling were completely wet. Carpets and hardwood floor got wet as well. We had a lot of water to remove from the bedrooms and living room. Hudepohl Restoration were first to arrive and had the best price. They are professional, always on time, and such a great people to be around and count on. They did everything they said and even more. Didn't try to charge for more or take advantage of us. I will recommend these guys to anyone in this kind of crisis. Stop looking around. Go with Hudepohl! By the the time they were finished I was actually smiling again which is really saying something during this type of unfortunate mess! read more

My experience with this company was the worst I've ever had with any contractor over the last 15 years and two homes that I've owned. Hudepohl installed a brand new skylight that leaked upon the very first rain. I now have a damaged roof and a damaged ceiling from the water leak. This company was given opportunities to correct the situation, but they could never quite get it right. They sent a different person every time, communicated poorly and sent people to my home without notification--so I wasn't there and wasn't aware of what they were doing. Never got fixed and I'm moving on to another company altogether. Not a good experience, to say the least. read more
