I'm really happy that this opened -- the area badly needs a wider range of food options (and I LOVE Indian food!). Staff was very friendly and I thought the 5 or so dishes (tandoori chicken, vegetable korma, chicken korma, ?) at the lunch buffet were delicious. (I usually don't do buffets, but it looked good and was waaaay cheaper than the regular menu, so I thought I would give it a try.) Waiter brought me fresh green bird chilis on request, which was nice (though I didn't need all 5!). It gets 4 stars from me rather than 5 for two reasons: 1) the mango lassi was suspiciously bright orange -- tasted good, but I'm not sure mangoes ever get quite that bright in nature? and 2) the ambiance is not great. I realize it's a converted chain restaurant, but the size of the place relative to the amount of space used made the dining experience a bit, well, bleak....discouraged lingering. read more

This is a great addition to the Hudson food scene. Their Tandoori chicken is delicious and tender, not dried out as so many other places have. So far we've had the vegetable curry, different tandoori dishes and the meat thali. Everything is very good. My favorite peshwari naan is loaded with coconut but I miss the raisins. We love it here and will be regulars. I do agree that the lighting could be lowered to get rid of the "fast food" feeling. read more

Mediocre Indian that is housed in an abandoned Burger King. Ambiance is fast food level. Food lack flavor and anything special. Was overpriced for the portions. Hudson desperately need a good Indian restaurant. They refused to alter any dish in any way which is inflexible at best. Don't bother eating here. read more

This place is absolutely delicious! Their food is made from quality ingredients. I had the Lamb Korma and for my Aunt, the Saag Paneer; both equally tasty. The menu is diverse and prices are reasonable. Plus you can byob which is also a plus. My only comment would be that service was a little slow during the ordering process. My office ordered out lunch for my birthday this week and we were very pleased. Everything was made from very fresh ingredients and it was VERY tasty. As always this place is delicious. It is right in the center of Hudson. It's a clean, happy environment full of authentic Indian cuisine. Everything here is made right then, and nothing is fake nor frozen. Mouth watering tikka masala and garlic naan tonight was the high point of the evening. It was so tender, it was like butter. I have never been let down once here with their food. They even have a buffet for lunch and dinner on certain days. I recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a delicious escape to India, and its exotic meals but wanna stay local in town. No over powering spices or seasonings either. Everything is equally balanced and serving sizes are greatly proportioned. If you don't believe me, please go there and try it out yourselves. I am sure you will not be disappointed. I think this is the worst restaurant I have ever been. i was so excited there is indian restaurant in hudson now. but when we went there we had real bad experience. food was cold . price was way too much . biryani has white meat in there. guy behind the counter he was rude. overall, this was shit place to go to . . This is a good Indian restaurant. Yes, it is in an old Wendy's so the décor is not great which is partly why I deducted a star. The service is fast but it's hit and miss on the servers... some were friendly and others didn't say much. But the bottom line is the food, which we really enjoyed. Its similar to the Curry House in Red Hook, and I believe it's the same owners. My husband and I had dinner here so I can't speak for the lunch buffet. The dinner was very good along with the garlic nan bread. I'm sure this place will get some bad reviews just because it's in a Wendy's but we need more restaurants like this in Hudson... and less burger joints. So give it a try! read more

Food was good. The standout was the butter chicken- creamy and a bit sweet. We devoured it. The okra and saag were ok. Rice was nice and fluffy and the buffet looked good though we chose take out. Probably it would do better on Warren Street or nearby. Hope it gets enough traffic to survive on Fairview. Nice to finally have good Indian in Hudson! read more

Hudson Curry House was a great surprise. Good food, good service, intelligent, polite waiters. The garlic nan and chicken from the clay oven was fabulous. After dining there last night I opted to write my first (ever) Yelp review as the restaurant deserves it. I bought Chicken Madras, food was good but $16 dollars for such a small portion and it was lunch. Greenport is not NYC, Red hook or even Hudson where they can charge tourist a lot for a small meal. If they are going to make it they need to reevaluate their prices. read more

the food was fantastic and the atmosphere was so much better than the rde hook curry house which it mimics. th estaff was very personable and the people in her weralot more relaxed they had chicken tikki masala which was as good as i ever had and its curried lamb was the first time i have ever liked lamb. they had a chicken curried chili which was phenomenal their was saag paneer was awesome worth the extra thirty min drive from my house read more
