This was our last stop on our girls' wine weekend and it was a little disappointing. I knew to expect a more fast food style service, which was ok. We were all very excited to try the FOUR wine slushies! Sadly, they were just ok. The atmosphere is a little odd. It's on a fairly busy street but that definitely tried to make it feel less busy inside, however the fast food style service doesn't mesh with that. Stopped in last weekend for a girls night out. We quickly set a table for six and we're told we could go up to the bar to place our drink and food orders. After looking over the menu. We saw the season of cocktails and I ordered the frozen apple wine. It was very good and the perfect mix of sweet and tart. I got the beef taco salad to eat for dinner which was really good and a huge portion. Not everyone loved this also of the table, but I was a big fan. So we first came in and the young girl gave us a sample of 2 beers and we decided which one we wanted. She brought it to us. It was awfu!!!! The manage/owner came down and was asking what was wrong. I told her this is not what we asked for. She was very rude and mean about it. Saying it couldn't have been what you asked for cause we have been out for 3 days... so my husband asked for different kind and she brought it to him. Was not a full pour. When we asked she said yes it is.... And it was cheaper than the one she brought prior.... Did not even bother to refund the difference..... I mean the wait/bar staff was very nice. We were looking for a nice winery to enjoy a couple glasses of wine. I went on tik tok and found Hudsinville Winery. We drove about 23 minutes to get here abd it was well worth the drive. This place was jammed packed but we were still able to get a table. Lucky we didn't have to wait too long. There is a nice outside patio to go out and enjoy the weather. Everyone was nice and friendly. The food menu was very impressive and decent prices as well. Only 1 hiccup is that I ordered a chicken wrap with fries it took a long time for my order to come out. My Aunt's food came and went while I still sat and waited on my food to come out. Thank goodness for the wine slushy that I ordered to hold me over. Pretty loud inside that you can barely hear what anyone is saying to each other. I can tell this is the place to come and enjoy a few beers and wine flight slushies which seems to be the most popular item on the menu. Cool road side, family owned, winery. We each had a slushy, which is a MUST. Crisp, sweet, ice cold, and packed with flavor. Absolutely refreshing on a hot evening. We enjoyed the peach, bramble berry, and Raspberry. The debate continues as to which was the best. Then we shared a flight of the fruit wine. The world is full of boring whites and reds, so we were on a journey to experience wine locally created from fruit. We were not disappointed. Each had a unique and interesting character. We like them all but enjoyed the white cranberry and black cherry the most. Food: they claim they make their food from scratch. And, they should be proud. We shared: The spinach salad with bacon dressing was fantastic. A little boring but solid, the guacamole could use some salt and lemon. However, the mini chicken chimis were good and the queso pared great. However, the Memphis style pork taco stole the show: pork cheddar jack, wonderful coleslaw and a sweet BBQ sauce was the perfect blend of greatness in a gringo flour taco. They have a pub like interior and an acceptable shaded outdoor sitting area with a pond and water fountian that reduces the road noise. If you find yourself within 50 miles it is well worth the drive. read more

Took my girlfriend here for a valentine's date night. I must say, we left impressed. They have some of the quickest service we have ever experienced. We enjoyed trying a wide variety of wine & beer tasting. We also ordered an appetizer and entrees. The food is reasonably priced and the portion sizes are sufficient compared to most places. We could tell the food is home made rather than bought frozen and heated up. If you order an appetizer we recommend the Bavarian Soft Pretzels. Place was very cute. Pretzel bites were absolutely amazing. 10/10. Staff wasn't very friendly or helpful when trying to decide wine flavors (menu isn't descriptive). I ordered fish and chips, it was not very good, something you could buy at a grocery store. Kids got chicken tenders and those were okay enough for the kids. The winery was very nice they have a large tent with heaters for outside seating. We opted to stay outside, the indoor seating I felt was very busy. We had the bar pretzels with cheese which were very good. They were delivered to our table quite quickly. I had a glass of the peach wine it was very fruity and delicious. Yesterday was my first time there, and I was very pleased with my experience. I ordered the wine flight, the fried pickles, and my friend ordered a glass of the brambleberry. My friend and I liked the brambleberry wine so much that we bought 3 bottles to go. Pros: the staff were really kind, the raspberry and brambleberry frozen wine was delicious, the interior was very cute. Cons: the fried pickles were a little expensive for the amount you got, the citrus pineapple and peach frozen wine tasted very boozy (my friend said it tasted like there was straight vodka in them), parking lot is a little small and cramped, I wasn't a fan of ordering at the bar. Beautiful little winery tucked away in Hudsonville next to Pike51 brewing. My friends birthday was yesterday and she has been wanting to try the frozen wine here for a while now, so we made the trip out. The service we received was subpar at best. We were not acknowledged upon entering, and its a seat yourself and order at the counter sort of place. No big deal, we chose a spot outside and came back in to order our drinks. Not sure who was running the counter at the time but she was incredibly rude. Being our first time, I asked for some suggestions on what to order and her answers were very short like she didn't have the patience so we just ordered a frozen flight for each of us. I wanted to keep the tab open for food and more rounds, but she closed it without even asking. I honestly felt like she didn't want us to be there. I ended up opening the tab with a food order, but was very disappointed in the food. One of us got a burger which he said was very salty, my friend and I ordered wraps and my boyfriend got the poutine. We also got chips and beer cheese and a separate order of chips and salsa as appetizers. The beer cheese is canned and nothing special, but salsa is homemade. Fryer oil was in desperate need of changing as the chips were all unevenly cooked and fries tasted like fish. Wraps were cold. The gravy on the poutine is chili sauce. My boyfriend and I have several years restaurant experience and you can tell which is homemade and which is just thrown together. The server running food out was very kind and fast. Frozen flight was great, lots of different flavors and perfect for a summer day. Due to the service we received inside and the quality of the food I will not likely make the 40 minute drive to come back. read more

The owner of this place, (Ron) handled a situation in a horrible way. So rude to his customers. He should have come to understand the situation before making assumptions and poorly communicating. He had a terrible demeanor and unfortunately worse enough to deter me from going back. He got in my husbands face and abrasively removed our alcohol because of his assumptions. I will not be returning to this place and see that there are other review buried about the staff treating customers poorly. He does not deserve business. Luckily he has a kind staff that was able to supplement his poor customer communication. I hope other customers do not have to deal with his very rude and abrasive behavior during their visit. read more

It makes me so sad to write this review. My family has been coming here every summer for the last 4 years and I even featured this winery in an article I wrote about Michigan Wineries. But, never again. My family went in for lunch today and was met by who I'm guessing was the manager. She had very short hair, glasses, and very condescending demeanor. I'm not really sure what set her off. Because our food bill was nearly $100, we were very low maintenance, acted very respectful and left quickly after we ate. She was clearly having a bad day and looking for someone to dish it out to. The maybe two or three questions I asked during our time here were met with short, snarky responses. While making an additional purchase in the store, she snapped me at me so badly when I misheard something she said to me. Even my husband raised an eyebrow and was upset by her tone towards me. Also, my military veteran father with Parkinson's Disease was with us, so not sure if maybe she saw him and his "condition" as an inconvenience. Needless to say, she was tipped horribly. Which I never do, having worked in the service industry for most of my life. Told her to have a good day as we left and she rolled her eyes at me. Wow. Not sure what she might be going through in her personal life, but no excuse to treat people like that - ESPECIALLY a veteran. Horrible, never again. read more

Great winery/brewing company. Came here while I was home in Michigan for the Thanksgiving holiday for a going away girls night get together for my Grandma before she migrates down to Florida. Our group was huge...over 20 people at least. Myself, and few other people from our group were there first, told our host how many people we were estimating, and she helped us move table around, and really helped accommodate our group. Ended up sharing a wine tasting pallet with my mom. Each one cup, cup was about half filled, and that lasted for quite awhile. I had three glasses of wine after that, Acai Berry wine was my absolute favorite! I also had the Hudsonberry, and the Red Sangria, both were great as well. I don't think I tried one wine that I didn't like. The staff was great especially for dealing with our extremely loud group of ladies. This was a fun wine tasting. We enjoyed the diversity of the flavors of wine. The actual line is relatively good quality. The service was very friendly and kind. Prices weren't too bad compared to hire and restaurants not too bad. Would have expected a little more dining menu. Everything on the menu was Friday. There was one or two salads on the menu. I found potato skins okay to eat as a gluten-free Patron, however I did have an upset stomach for the next 24 hours. They were tasty, but nothing I would go back there to eat. My husband and I were looking for a place to buy wine in bulk for our wedding a couple of weeks ago and a friend recommended Hudsonville Winery. I am SO glad we checked this place out!! The staff was super friendly and took the time to make sure we got enough wine for our wedding guests. We each got to sample three wines to help us decide which flavors to buy. There is also a percent discount when you buy multiple cases which is great if you are buying for an event. We weren't big wine drinkers before we stopped here- now we are hooked and plan on stopping by regularly. Our wedding guests also raved about the wine all evening! My friend and I visited to do some wine tasting and this was an awesome hidden gem. Everything I tried I loved and they even offered wine slushees on a flight. Our bartender was so friendly and attentive. She made suggestions for us to visit more places in the area for our evening and even chatted with us about our food and other various topics. This was a great little winery! They offer 5 tastes for free and all were delicious. If you enjoy fruit wines this is an especially great place for you. We tried the white cranberry, stone fruit moscato, hudsonberry, green apple, watermelon, peach, raspberry, pomegranate & acai. Peach was my personal favorite - the flavor was so fresh and crisp! The dessert wines were also a nice surprise - very sweet, but the Chocolate Black Cherry & Mela Caramello were so good we had to bring a few bottles home. They offer a few food items on the menu, but we didn't partake. They have some tables outside, however it is onion country so it has a very distinctive scent. The ladies serving were really nice & the price of the wines are affordable. When I come back to Michigan, this will be on my list of places to visit! read more
