Every poet that graced the mic was passionate, imaginative, had originality, emotional depth and imagery. The garage door was open so it allowed a nice flow of circulation. The dedicated space is setup as a sophisticated escape for those with an appreciation of fine cigars. Sections of with plush leather couches, chairs and tables for singles and groups creating a setup for intimate groupings and conversation. The ceiling, the portraits, cigar-related imagery all around accent the leather seating. There's access to lighters, cutters and plenty of ashtrays. They also sell cigars. There's different levels of membership, some of which you get your own locker. I joined a table with two nice women who shared with me their cigar favorites and cuts, along with sharing lounge secrets. It was very relaxing and the drink- mezcal martini I ordered was delicious. I brought my own cigars so I was able to enjoy my favorites!

I discovered this location which is practically right around the corner from me and I haven't been back to 64th Street since (sorry guys, still love ya'll, but this is closer to home and they have added features). So anyone familiar with The Outlaw knows they have an impressive walk-in humidor that caters to every cigar lover. From novice to connisseur. Sweet to bold. They have it all and the staff is very well versed and can reccomend what you are looking for. They can even reccomend things to an old dawg like me. The humidor is impressive, but what is really impressive are the two things 64th St. does not have, a brewery and an event space. Sure there are their signature leather arm chairs and multiple screens for whatever your sports pleasure is (and they will change a channel upon request), but the real winner is their bar. They offer a full and impressive selection of bourbon, whiskey, and scotch (they stock my favorite Angel's Envy), but they also have a great and delicious selection of microbrews done on site in their very own brewery. Prices are very good and the beers go great with a good cigar, they can even reccomend a cigar and beer pairing. Their event space is truly first class. it offers a full stage and plenty of room to accomodate your large company function or a modest birthday. They do not do food themselves, but on occasion, they host a food truck or two and allow food delivery to the location (Hawg Jaw BBQ is also right across the street from them). The staff is the best in the biz. Always friendly, always welcoming, and always knowledgable. When you walk into The Outlaw, you are in a truly comfortable space. No entitled jerks or complainers, everyone walks in an instant friend. If you are not a cigar smoker, the place is large enough that it never gets smokey or has that lingering cigar smell that most places have. I highly suggest grabbing a drink and a stick when you need a good unwind from a long day. Who knows, I might be there to buy you a drink.

Their selection is on par with any of the better cigar lounges (of which this one qualifies) and their offerings vary a little bit, which is another reason why it's good to shake things up once in a while. The service is friendly and The lady who helped us make our selections was quite knowledgeable and very personable. The ambience is very chill and the place is very welcoming. They have beverages available and also rent out humidor compartments for those of us that like to keep our sticks at our favorite place. It was a $10 stick which was aged in a bourbon barrel of a local company. It was unique tasting (it was a bit difficult to stay lit) but overall a nice smoke. They have free pool tables, a bunch of leather chairs and an outside area with a few benches facing together around two tables. We were asked to spend $25 to use the lounge. We were also told we could bring in alcohol or food. We walked 3 minutes down the road for some lovely tapas and ate outside. The neighborhood had some artsy people. My boyfriend wouldn't let me walk by myself to the restaurant and I was grateful for that. This neighborhood has graffiti but is in view of brand new, huge apartment buildings. There were people of every color in this venue and on the street and it was a fun experience.

They won't bother you if you know what you're looking for, but if you don't, they're right there to guide you on your tobacco purchase. Ashtrays are constantly emptied with a smile. They have several areas for large parties and ice, glasses, and refrigerator to keep your beverages cool. They have the best air circulation system in town, not a cheap little system like some places. There are several seating areas for groups big or small. It doesn't hurt that they have a large parking lot, so this is a top choice when my buddies have a get together.

Nestled in the heart of the eclectic West Port neighborhood is this funky little cigar joint that has a very good selection of sticks, a quaint lounge and best of all just good folks running the shop and chill peeps enjoying. Jason was the man in charge of the evening and he made the experience just that much more memorable. Well versed in tobacco we vibed and he highly recommended I try a Sans Pareil cigar...I'm embarrassed to say I had not heard of this brand, but I'm happy to have been introduced to it. I chose the Red which is a torpedo with an Ecuadorian Corojo wrapper and Dominican filler and binder. I'll fast forward to say, from my pic you'll see I smoked it to the nub and nearly burned my fingers - yes, it was that good. Once well lit with a house complimentary cedar stick it burned evenly throughout and held a great ash. Just a very well made cigar. On item of note - it's BYOB! No corking fee. So, one tip - walk over to the local Sun Fresh market, which is a mere two blocks away, and is well stocked with beer, wine, and a decent selection of liquor. That's right, inside the supermarket you'll find the necessary goodies to complement your stick. Then just make your way back and enjoy your time at Fidel's. I'll be back soon Fidel's!

I…read moretravel a ton for work and try to visit a cigar shop in each of the cities I go to but this one is more than a shop. They truly get to know their customer base. Take time to listen to what you like to smoke and what your occasion is or even ask what you might be pairing it with to help you enjoy that experience. Ben, Drew and Mike are all equally helpful in their own way, and each seem to have a great following of people that are always a joy to talk with. Whether you are enjoying the great lounge downstairs with direct tv, sipping your favorite drink and smoking a new smoke/favorite smoke it alone is worth the stop. Always a good group of guys down there from all backgrounds enjoying the same treat. Or if there is a small gathering upstairs, never a dull moment of conversation, from what's going on in sports to music and back to cigars. You never know who you will meet or what will be pondered on. As stated above this is more than a cigar shop they treat you as family, maybe a cheers of cigars. I know in my travels It is hands down my go to for cigars and great conversation. Anyone who comes through KC that has an affinity for cigars this is a must stop, don't let the shop fool you they will take amazing care of you and you never know the amazing patrons you can meet.
