I never leave reviews and certainly never thought I would leave one for a car dealership, but that is how much the service at this dealership has impressed me! Rob, our salesman, was incredibly responsive, helpful and the most genuine person I've ever encountered at a car dealership. I did not make his job easy either because I bought a car and after driving it for a day realized it was not a great fit for me and my family. I was nervous that the "3 day guarantee" was just a gimmick, but Rob was more than willing to help me return the vehicle and find exactly what I was looking for. I have had an issue with the door of the van that I purchased, but Rob has gotten back to me immediately on several occasions and gone above and beyond to help me with the issue and to make it right. Ashton in finance was also another person who pleasantly surprised us with how helpful and genuine he was. Both Rob and Ashton made us feel like we were VIPs, they were personable, genuine and felt like friends from the start. This was the first time I've ever purchased a car where I didn't feel like they got over on me in some way. DO NOT I MEAN AVOID IT! bringing your car to this location the way a services department rep tried to collect payment prior to touching my car then the manager wanted to deny that his service rep said that I explained there's no reason I would be upset to give verbal authorization. I would be upset if you try to collect payment for something prior to even touching my car so then when I am able to get my car towed to the normal Kia dealership, which is Mortz Kia in alliance. I called the service department to inform them that I was gonna get it towed and that I needed a name for my driver of someone at the service department and nobody wanted to give a name they said to send The tow truck driver to the front desk and then she'll send them to the service department so I said OK. I told him he said that's pretty strange I said yes I know. I called up there just now and spoke with I assume someone at the front desk and I explained to her that my tow truck driver was there she goes so do you need service? I said no because you're supposed to send him to service so if he's not there yet that's all I was worried about and she said OK. Is it a Kia and I said yes it's a and I explained what car I have. She goes. No no no I don't need that information. I feel like that would be not a statement to make to somebody who's already not had a good experience with your dealership there's a reason that the dealership has 3.4 stars on Yelp. The only reason my car went there in the first place is because my Warranty tow had to tow it to the closest Kia dealership and unfortunately, my interactions with this have been very negative. I also informed the service manager to listen back to the phone call because I've worked in dealerships all kinds of departments and I can tell you every single call is recorded. This is a public service notice to fully compare the features listed online against the actual features of used vehicles. I test drove a car that was priced based on and listed to have heated seats and a sunroof. Obviously upon inspection it did not have these options. This is false representation of vehicle features which inflates the value of the vehicle. So if they had an oversight in evaluating the vehicle features, I wonder what they had oversight in during their "125 point inspection." Trade in values took a dive from November to December, but I still feel like communication, understanding, and negotiation should have been better, especially because the vehicle was overpriced. I had a 10:30 am scheduled appointment. I called the day before to ask if it was okay to drop the vehicle off early. I was told I could. I asked if there was a key dropbox and was told yes or I could bring them inside. I got there early on the schedule day and handed the keys to the person behind the desk. I explained that I was leaving the car early, but I knew it wasn't going to get worked done until the schedule time. That person walked to the back and told the gentleman that I wanted to drop a car off early. I started to walk out and he said I had to wait while he inspected the car took pictures and had me sign. At this point, I was irritated because my husband was waiting and we were on a timeline. The gentleman took his time and read to me everything on the paper to verify before I could sign. I signed and then stated how disappointed I was and just so he understands where my frustration was coming from. I had called the head so we could just simply drop the vehicle off so that we would not be late. He replied that if I was in such a hurry, I could just leave. I did, with my vehicle. A little customer service goes a long way. I specifically called the day ahead to make the drop off smooth so that we could be in and out. The salesman, Gabriel, treated us like crap. The whole experience was unprofessional and he is clearly not worried about the customer. Just wants the sale and will push you to feel like you don't have a choice. When he was told that we couldn't come until lunch time, he said he will be gone to lunch and 6pm works better for him. When we got approved through our bank, but it was so late in the afternoon they wouldn't have it all ready to give to me, I told him that I will be there first thing in the morning and he said "I will not hold this car for you." I have all the text messages. Not only that, but when sending numbers to me, he failed to list any of the fees, which is an FTC violation. HE also stated that he could not offer certain things on the deal unless I finance with them and you cannot do that. Gabriel does not care if the customer is comfortable, let alone comfortable with the deal. HE does not go above and beyond to take care of the customer so that you return. And if you are a young woman with intelligent questions, you will begin to get spoken to even more unprofessionally because you are questioning him when he is trying to just push a deal through. Good salesmen make sure you are comfortable from beginning to end in all aspects including the deal itself. They also are willing to work through lunch time if that's all the time you have or are willing to stay after 5:30pm if you can't make it until 6pm. Gabriel is not it. I am mind blown. read more

I have been a loyal customer of this dealership for several years and have purchased three vehicles here. Despite that, the service I've received during this ordeal has been unacceptable. The only person who has been remotely helpful is my salesman, William. Everyone else has either had their hands tied or simply couldn't be bothered to return my calls or emails. Phil, the manager, promised to get me out of this lemon vehicle but never followed through. He even advised me not to file a claim, only to now try to shift the blame onto me--despite the fact that he hasn't returned a single call in over a year. Because of their inaction, my vehicle has dropped significantly in trade-in value, and now I'm being told I have to take a nearly $10K loss on my loan. The general manager claims there's nothing he can do, the dealership owner refuses to respond, and Kia corporate has been equally unhelpful. If you're considering purchasing a Kia--especially from Kia Corinth --think twice. They do not stand by their customers, and they will leave you stuck with a defective vehicle while your investment depreciates. read more

I want to start off by saying I have taken my son's car to another dealership in the metroplex where it was purchased for service and repairs covered by warranty and did not receive the above and beyond treatment that I received from Austin M. at Huffines Kia. Austin was extremely helpful, responsive, knowledgeable, personable and friendly. He worked with me and my son to get some issues covered by warranty repaired and one was something the other dealership most likely caused when they did another major warranty repair. We have tried for over 8 months to get the other dealership to repair what they caused and got the run around, being given excuses for not having availability, having to have the car at the dealership when the light is on to run diagnostics, told the car had to sit for weeks at the dealership for weeks before they would hook it up to the machine even though it was running and my son still had work and not offered a loaner car because they do not have any or will not do it until it is diagnosed and confirmed it is a warranty issue. Dealing with the other dealership left me apprehensive to say the least. I called and asked about an appointment to get the diagnostics done and explained what the other dealership had told us and was quickly told by the sweet young lady that they could do it on Thursday (2 days from the day I called) and she told me they would do the diagnostics the same day. My son took his car in on the day of the appointment and Austin immediately let us know what the outcome was and what was going to be done. Because of it being a warranty repair they offered a loaner car. My son was not old enough so my older son let him borrow his car and he got the loaner. Every step of the way Austin would update us with the status and answer questions without making us feel stupid or like we were inconveniencing him. I do not do reviews very often but Auston M and Huffines Kia service department deserve to hear how amazing they are. I hope the management sees this and knows how remarkable this group is! We had an amazing experience over the weekend purchasing a new KIA Telluride from Sam. She wasn't aggressive or pushy, but was very knowledgeable and had our best interests at heart. We were able to get the car for MSRP which is unheard of right now for this model and trim. They honored the value of our competing trade in offers and multiple owners and associates came to introduce themselves. The only reason I gave 4 stars and not 5 is due to the speed of service. It took 5 hours once we started negotiations to walk out the door with the car, and the dealership wasn't even all that busy. The financial process took an incredibly long time and we weren't offered any beverages, snacks, etc despite being there so long. It appears this location escaped their bad reviews during the move by changing their name from Huffines Subaru to Huffines Kia, hence 2 different Yelp pages. I went to the previous location for almost 3 years having a great sales experience and good service at first, but stopped 2 1/2 years ago and refused to return. I won't get into all the details from the last review but it would be sufficient to say that I felt the service department and manager were shady and couldn't be trusted. Last month, while having some car trouble, I discovered my battery was horribly corroded. Shocked my new dealership didn't catch it, having limited time to deal with this and feeling this location owed me a replacement (it was still under warranty) based on our history, I cautiously reached out to the service manager. I do my best to be fair, and despite the fact that I will not return here, I'm raising my rating by 1 star based on two visits and a handful of calls. The service manager invited me to drop off my vehicle that evening so they could get to it in the morning. I was reluctant. I didn't particularly want them to touch my car as there have been unpleasant surprises in the past. I would've preferred handing them the battery and then putting the new one in myself. However, that is not the terms of the warranty and also, you can't really mess up a battery. That being said, I did NOT want them touching anything else and made it extremely clear on the phone and in person that I knew there were codes on the dash, but I did not want them to work on anything else except the battery. I was going to see how many codes remained and proceed on my own. I received a call the next morning that they replaced the battery but also discovered the other problem- a bad transmission valve body. They went above expectation by informing me that Subaru had extended the warranty on this part and that they could have it replaced at no cost to me in 5-6 hours. I was nervous. I didn't really want anyone here to work further on my car, but I was dealing with the time constraints of my commute and having an event in another city that evening. I hesitantly agreed. Over the phone I was noticing a lot of the same behaviors that led me to find them shady in the first place and was quite anxious. However, in person, I noticed a real effort to change some of the behaviors that I had mentioned in my last review. I was glad it was fixed and they were very gracious to me. The new lot is larger than their old one and has a good layout. The waiting room is much nicer than their old location with a variety of drinks, coffee, popcorn and a few bagged snacks. They have lots of comfortable seating and several TV's and I witnessed the staff interactions being very friendly. I started to think I had either judged them too harshly or they had really changed. I was told to contact them if the same lights came back on. About 3 weeks later, some of the same lights came on. Since those warnings were the same as before, I was worried that it was related to the transmission. They saw me that afternoon and after 30 min the service advisor told me it wasn't anything they had done and it was a random misfire code. Though relieved it wasn't related to the previous work, I asked for clarification, but was blown off and told it was probably nothing. I explained that I was going on a multi-state trip and wanted to know the actual cause. I was going to give them more business, but what happened next reminded me why I stopped in the first place. With great condescension and aggressive body language, I was told it would be $140. You see, I understand that this extremely rude and unprofessional response to me came from an assumption on his part. Clearly, he thought me telling him not to do anything else the previous month was because I didn't want to spend any money, when in reality I didn't want them touching anything more complicated than my battery and creating more issues (based on our prior history). He jumped to conclusions and let that dictate how he mistreated me. Clearly doesn't know who he's dealing with. I immediately answered that this was fine, I would go elsewhere. He stalked off, but presumably realized he had been out of line and returned to ask if I wanted my car washed. I firmly told him no and that I wanted my car so I could go elsewhere. Then he and a mechanic surrounded me at my car, talking down to me as men in this industry often do. Though insulted, I remained polite to make my exit faster. They gave me no code report or proof I was even there. That will be the last they see of me. Guess what? It wasn't 'nothing.' That's okay though, it wasn't a surprise. I went to a shop that charged me a third of the amount to diagnose my vehicle. They even managed to be honest, respectful and were horrified when I relayed the story of how I was blown off and why I needed a diagnostic in the first place. read more

Having been quite frustrated attempting to purchase a new Kia K5, I found the car I wanted at Huffines Kia Corinth. I called to verify the vehicle was there, I connected to a sales person William. He assured me the vehicle was there and he had the keys. I told him I was on the way. Halfway to the dealer I realized I had failed to tell him my name. When I arrived he was prompt at greeting me and sent me out to test drive the car. Upon returning he was finished with his previous client and began working my deal. All went very smoothly and was quite quick. The final closure of the deal was well handled by Donna. From arrival to out tte door was 3 hours much faster than many other dealers. My husband and I were heading back to Dallas via 35 south after a short getaway out of town. Driving down the highway in traffic, a large piece of plastic debris flew into the road and unfortunately I had no choice but to drive over it or risk wrecking into another vehicle. It got stuck under my car and began to drag. I managed to get off the highway at the nearest exit and pulled into the first driveway we found. Avoid yourself a huge headache... I had a terrible experience with one of their sales reps in May 2022. I was always respectful and courteous, but this was my experience: 1) He told me I was obligated to pay for their $2,000 add-ons, which I didn't want. He said non-negotiable. I argued for a few mins but eventually gave up. 2) He was rude; however, when his manager was around, he was the happiest and most talkative person in the world. 3) He didn't want to answer questions. When answering questions, he did it angrily and with a bad attitude, leaving out many details. I had to ask the same questions many different ways to get answers out of him. 4) He said he sold me a car he shouldn't have, so he kept it for an additional 2-3 days to make a cosmetic repair inhouse. When I came back the following week, the car had approximately 6-8 miles on it. 5) When texting him, which was his preferred method of communication, he would practically answer with a "yes" or "no", leaving out all the details. I had to write multiple texts just to get one answers, which would take a few days. 6) He only gave me 1 key. I had to text him for about 3-4 weeks. Finally, after I contacted his manager, he said the key "mysteriously" appeared. 7) He gave me the wrong temporary license plate. I had to wait 1-2 weeks before the correct one arrived in the mail. I couldn't drive the car during that time. 8) I asked him in person and over text messages, repeatedly, for a copy of the documents he made me sign. He said he didn't have them, didn't have access to them, and at times ignored me. I don't have them to this day. 9) He made me sign a survey saying he did a great job. 10) He repeatedly boasted about his personal life. At times, they seemed like lies. Very weird. Bad experience with their finance department. Make sure you talk to a credit union before buying a vehicle from Kia: 1) I had a 791 credit score but was given a ~6% interest rate. 2) The employee tried his sales tactics for about an hours trying to make me sign up for different products. They'll push your buttons once you know you don't want to sign up for anything. 3) Upsetting how they say they're honest people and won't be pushy, but they do the complete opposite just to make a buck. read more

I've been looking for a certain Kia Sportage for a month and they are very hard to find in todays market. I called 30+ dealers in search of this certain Sportage and they were either sold or had customers names on them already. I kept searching and was elated to finally find a dealer that had not only one but two of the model and color I wanted. I spoke with William McGrath of Huffines Kia in Corinth (Dallas area, I live in Houston), that's how much I wanted this car. It was late in the evening and I told him I was in Houston. There was no way I would make it to Dallas obviously, so I asked if he could hold it. He said they couldn't hold it and I offered to give him my credit card number to hold it and he said he couldn't. I told him my story and said I would be up first thing in the morning to pick it up, I would book a flight and be there when they open. He said it was late and both vehicles probably wouldn't get sold in a couple hours the dealer had left to be open. I said great, send me the credit app and I'll fill it out and book my flight. I asked him the price and he said MSRP, which I was good with. I told him the payment I saw on KIA's website and I made sure to tell him what payment I wanted. He said "that won't be a problem." I told him I wanted to make sure because I'm coming a long way for this car and he again assured me it wouldn't be a problem. He told me more than once "I've been doing this for 11 years, I know what I'm doing." He said he couldn't get to the finance guy because he had 3 customers waiting and wouldn't be able to get a price before they closed. This should have been my indication to bail on this deal but he assured me we could get this deal done. I booked a flight from Houston to Dallas (one way) at 6:04am. I had to get up at 3:30am in order to get to the airport. I arrived in Dallas at 7:33am and took an Uber to the car dealership (it cost $50 to get to the dealer) and arrived at Huffines at 8am. I saw the car I wanted was still there and lucky enough the service department was open at 8am, the sales opens at 8:30am, so I had a bit of a wait. They had water and coffee and snacks available, so it was nice. The dealership is very nice, new and modern. William showed up at 8:30am and promptly got started which was great. I gave him some information and signed some forms and gave him my DD-214 for the military discount. I wanted a 2 year lease, which gave a nice discount. He gave me the keys to the car and I took it out for a drive and it was amazing. It was everything I hoped for and very nice. When I returned to the dealer, I signed some more forms and he was taking the "deal" to finance. This is where everything turned, he came back with a payment almost $200 over what we talked about. I told him this is not what we talked about and not even close to the payment we discussed and he had assured me would be "doable." At this point, I knew there would be no deal that day because how far off they were from what I told him I wanted to be at. I didn't yell or cause a scene, I just got up and started looking for another flight back to Houston. As I was looking for flights, he came back with what I assume was the finance guy and they tried to get me for a payment that was about $100 more than what I told him and for 4 years not 2. I laughed and then of course they told me how tax, title and license isn't included with the estimate. This extra $3K was the reason the payment was higher and there was nothing they could do. I said "no thanks, keep the car" and continued looking for a flight back to Houston. Then they had the nerve to try and talk me into a "lesser vehicle" like I would ever do business with these swindlers. I laughed and said no thanks, I'm going to head home and you can keep your car. At the end of the day, I kept my promise and Huffines Kia did not and it cost me a lot of money to completely waste my time. It was another $50 to Uber back to the airport. And of course the next available flight was at 4:38pm and it was currently almost 10am, so I had a long wait to go. So in the end I spent more than $400 to come all the way to Dallas only to be denied the car I came to pick up. Very poor business practice, especially for someone that took the time and honored what I said and flew up to pick up my car. I would never do business with this dealer and would caution anyone thinking of doing business to make sure they do what they say. If you're out of town, make sure you get something in writing and confirmed before wasting your valuable time and money with this dealership. Shame on you William and Huffines. read more

I had a small paint defect and Huffines took care of it for me. However, their collision center screwed up my entire roof. It's full of dirt niblets and is scratched up. I wish I would of just accepted the paint defect and never took it to their collision center. I wouldn't mind so much if it wasn't a 2022 and costs $52,000. As a customer, I am just disgusted with this situation. I ended up selling my new vehicle because I didn't want to deal with the dealership or the collision center again. read more

I went in for my first oil change, which was free, and had them rotate my tires. The service writer was super nice and they did everything in less than 30 minutes. So super impressed and glad I used them. But the reason I didn't give them 5 stars is because they also give you a free car and wash. They did a horrible job at that. The obviously sprayed the car with water for about a minute and kinda wiped it down. When I got home it was covered in water spots. I'm Pretty sure it was cleaner before they "washed" it. Service department is top notch! I take my car regularly for routine maintenance. They are easy to book with as they have flexible appointment times that match my busy calendar. When I go in they greet me professionally and courteously. I never have to wait long to be taken care of. The service team works fast and provides full multi point staff inspection with oil change and tire rotation. I really never wait more than about 30 to 40 minutes for the "all done" signal. I had to trade in my brand new forte GT for a much slower, but bigger, Sportage X Pro. Unfortunatly I was in a rush because Donovan had no sense of urgency in processing the deal despite the numerous times I told him I had to be at work by 6pm (I arrived at noon). Needless to say, I didnt think to take my subwoofer out of my Forte until I had left and was driving home. Not having the time to turn around and go pick it up immediately, I texted Donovan to notify him of the sub still in my now traded in car, and asked him when I could come pick it up... no response. Next day, I reached out, no response (apparently he doesn't text on his day off). Third day, he todl me to drive up to the dealership to pick it up. I drove from downtown dallas all the way to Corinth only to find he hadn't even taken the sub out or checked the vehicle for my property. I only know this because when I went to remove the sub, it was GONE! Someeone stole my sh*t and they told me they'd look into it. WOW. next day I got a text saying they had a check for the replacement cost and when I drove up there AGAIN to pick it up, they asked me to take my 1 star review down in exchange for the check. does anyone else blame me for not taking the 1 star down? my experience was 1 star. buy a Kia from Austin rose at central Kia of plano. he's a little rough around the edges but hes good people and will genuinely take care of you. read more

Got a pretty good deal here. Our salesman was super nice with us and patient when we were talking over figures with the family. The only reason this place doesn't get 5 stars....the finance manager made a scene. Long story short he yelled at the salesman in front of us for not clarifying how we were paying. Totally not his fault btw. We called him out on his bad attitude. Otherwise, we had a really pleasant experience here. read more

Buyer beware: I drove to this dealer, a 40-minute drive for me, to test drive a car there. The car needed a new battery (batter over 2 years old, and massive corrosion on the battery terminal-post) and the spare tire was flat, and missing the tire-iron, and missing the jack handle to jack up the car if you needed to put the spare tire on due to a flat. Every one of these items were checked off as "good" on the 150-point inspection paper that was in the glove box of the car, despite being incorrect. Therefore the 150-point inspection is a joke at this dealer, to just help make the car look good so the dealer spends little money as possible to get their cars road worthy, even at the risk of their customers safety. So, after the test drive, I said I would buy the car if the battery, spare tire fixed or repaired, and to get a tire-iron and jack handle. Grace, the sales lady went and spoke to the manager and they agreed to fix these things (shouldn't it be fixed anyway due to safety?, or at least don't lie about it on their 150-point inspection sheet) Grace was to email or call me the next morning after the issues were addressed. The morning came and went with no call, so I emailed her around 2PM to learn the car was sold to someone else. My first reaction was "are you serious!" they just totally dissed me after all that. Now I wonder if the person who bought the car knows how unsafe it is if the dealer did not fix these things. If they did not, the person who bought the car is at risk. What if some young lady bout the car and had a flat in the night and needed to change it?, well who knows if this dealer actually took care of it? Kind of scary, I think. So basically, customers need to avoid this unsafe dealer unless you like buying a car with a FALSE 150-point inspection. read more

They came off as being a great option, but ultimately dropped the ball. I found the car I wanted, had the bank lined up with a loan, and was ready to buy. They offered through email to bring the car to my home or office. I said yes, bring to my home this evening after work. After that, they said no, stating that traffic is very heavy at that time. I let them know it's the only time I have available and they reluctantly agreed to bring it the next day. Great! I cancelled a work meeting the next evening so I can sign off on the car instead. The next day, I get an email saying the car has been sold that morning... I responded saying, I thought it was being held for me. In which they respond that it was never held for me. So what was the point of all the back and forth and me making time in my busy schedule to receive the car?? Thanks Mercedes Griffin... now I know not to buy a car from Huffines Corinth. On 5/22, I had my first visit to the Huffines Kia service department in Corinth. An appointment had been made the day before with Ralph and he was ready when I arrived. Ralph was pleasant and ready to get my car taken care of. He showed me the service lounge where I was able to get some complimentary water and popcorn while I was able to do work on my laptop via the customer wi-fi. The work on my car was completed in less time than estimated, Ralph handed my receipt to me and I was on my way (including a free car wash). The overall customer experience was the best that I have received at any car dealer. I will definitely be back the next time my car needs servicing. read more
