I called the sales guy Max who sold me the car and seemed to be a reasonable person and explained about the battery died and asked what about the 125 points inspection which they claimed at the time of the sale . He said he will call me back right away BUT he never called back. Stay away from this dealership . Went to Volkswagen dealership and paid $580 for battery replacement. For Now battery died. Our car's sunroof randomly shattered in our garage while off and parked. A quick search explained that this is a known defect and the company extended the warranty by 5 years because of it. The service person on the phone was extremely clueless and unhelpful. When we took in our car for the warranty claim, they explained we were just out of the coverage period and could not help. I contacted corporate for a good will extension and they were very willing to help. HOWEVER, this dealership not only lied to corporate claiming this was cause by impact despite photo evidence, but they were completely unresponsive. I am going to report them to the BBB!!!! Bought a Tesla X few months ago, they told me that they will help me qualify for the used ev credit. But after several visits to dealership, multiple calls to people incharge of the accounting (Nancy) and finance (Garrett), even after leaving hand written notes dropped off at front desk. All they had to do to help me qualify for the ev credit from IRS is to register the dealership on the IRS portal and put in the car info of the car I bought.I gave them the exact detail from IRS website of how to do it, it would not have taken more than 30 minutes to an hour to do. But I am sorry to say that not only they never replied to my call or emails but were also 100% none cooperative or helpful. On Saturday, March 29, 2025; my Service Advisor went above and beyond the call of duty. She listened to my very serious BURNING PLATFORM and said: "I will take care of you." Two hours later, all 20 lug nuts were loosened and PROPERLY torqued so that we could resolve a flat tire on the side of the road. I called service to make sure my broken door handle was covered under warranty. They said "yes, the warranty is bumper to bumper". I said good, I would like to make a service appointment and they said "well you have to buy the part and when it comes in then we'll schedule the appointment". So I bought the part and then it turns out they lied and the door handle is not actually a part of the "bumper to bumper" warranty. Because I work out of town it took me over their 30 day return window to return it which they also didn't tell me. And then they said if you want to override the policy you'll have to come back when the parts manager is here. I called to make sure he would be there and then he wouldn't even come out of his office to talk to me. And he sent his lackey to tell me basically "sorry, no dice". So I went to the sales side and talked to a manager there who was only able to get me 25% of my original cost of the part because of a (get this) 75% restocking fee. Wow. And on top of all that a few months ago when I had some under-the-hood maintenance done, they forgot to bolt up the lower engine tray so I was taking my daughter some where and all of a sudden a dragging noise. Worst experiences I've ever had. I've always gone here for my oil change because I have a warranty and it is the closest location to me by far, but this is the last time. Despite all of the arguing this place has ever done with me as well as lying about checking things out for my warranty only for me to find out no such things had been done, I still gave it another shot. I'm currently waiting in the waiting room, my car was dropped off almost 2 hours ago for its appointment, for an oil change, they've already told me they've checked out my car and they wanted me to get an air filter and new tires 30 minutes ago, and now I'm just still waiting on the car. Not only that, but they keep saying "we'll come let you know about..." and we had to go back after an hour to ask because they never came and told us even though they knew. Husband and I went to buy a used vehicle yesterday. Test drove a couple without issues. Then all the problems started. one of the vehicles I really wanted to test drive and was considering purchasing, Craig (well no one), could find the keys to. Then the next one, could not find those keys either. Craig told us on one vehicle was out for a test drive, I found it on the lot. One of the vehicles we drove while Craig was looking for the missing keys, had a sticker on the window that was not even to that vehicle. Sticker said it was a 2022, it was a 2024, sticker said it had around 27k miles, actually had 37+k miles. Sticker said was Limited Trim, actually was Calligraphy Trim. We spent over 6 hours at this dealership and well, we did not purchase from this dealership. The entire day was a total frustration and cluster. They would not negotiate even a little bit until Craig informed us the next day (which is now today), they would be lowering the price $1000 if we wanted to come back. Are you kidding me, you would not lower any when we were considering buying the vehicle right then and there, but had the nerve to tell us to come back the next day to get $1000 off. Will not recommend this dealership. Salesperson Craig was too busy on his phone watching who knows what every time we walked up to him at his desk after the test drive instead of trying to work out and fix a lot of the issues we dealt with on their lot, which was one, then another, then another, the entire day. read more

I asked Tommy for numbers and exclaimed how much I loved the car! He refused to show numbers because he's been doing this a long time and I wouldn't buy. The service department is a complete joke. I was there today at 7:30 for the recall on my car and for the state inspection. Then I was advised about recommendations needed. I opted to get 4 new tires and not the other two recommendations. After 1.5 hours, I started asking how much longer and no one would give me a clear answer. Eventually J. Moose told me the tires would not arrive until 1. At that point, I was already at the place almost 4 hours. Plus, the state inspection was NOT done within those 4 hours. I wasted most of my day there and was only able to get the recall issue resolved. When I was leaving, J. Moose apologized and said the new tech was working on my car and should have proceeded with the state inspection because my car would have passed without the new tires. Each time I accelerated in my car driving home, the engine sounded loud. Hopefully, the "new technician" didn't cause any additional problems with my car. read more

This place is a mess. We dropped our hyundai off in September for an engine replacement. Hyundai warranty covering all repairs. we did not hear anything until December. At that point they said two more weeks. A month later I stopped by to see what kind of progress had been made.None. They had not even started. Mid January they called saying it was finished. When I picked up the car I popped the hood and noticed there were loose connections and the coolant was completely empty. Left it another week. Picked it up couple days ago and they had not done anything. coolant still empty. connections still loose. This place needs to see some turn over. Their current employees are not doing their jobs. This seems to be a ongoing problem at Eckert dealership. I took my brand-new Tucson LTD in and had the first service done. When I received the vehicle back went home parked the car in the garage only to find a quart of oil on my garage floor. Took the car back only to hear it was a new guy and "were so sorry". Okay that's possible. I took my car to Eckert the second service, the same issue and not one lug nut was tight on the whole vehicle to include the locking lug nut's. I lost 8 of the 20-lug nut's holding the wheels on including the locking lug nuts. After I was pulled over because of my tires wobbling by a state trooper. and seeing the issue. I tightened the remaining lug nuts and had it towed to another dealership Huffines Plano. Super nice and helpful there. Unlike what happened at "Eckert with no loaner's " However I was told that I would have to pay for service. and spent several hours arguing this point. I Finally was able to have the service done free. Now I take my Tucson to Dallas I drive 30 miles out of my way just so I can have any of my services done without hassle and free. Eckert you and your price gouging are ridiculous I will never do business with you or your service department again. After reading your previous customers, being told to take their business elsewhere, because they were rude! What ever happened to the customer is always right? I can totally believe that in today's market you can do whatever you want, and people will still come and buy from you. But I hope this comment dissuades at least one person from doing business with you. Then I have done at least one person a favor. read more

Or better yet avoid this dealership and especially the service department completely. Billy has lied to me on multiple occasions and has been rude during every interaction. Subject: Unsatisfactory Car Repair - Failure to Fix Issues In April 2023, I had my 2014 Hyundai Santa Fe towed to Eckert Hyundai in Denton Texas because of an error code showing up. The code P136, I was told was a factory warranty issue. April 26, 2023, I picked the car up and reassured the problem was fixed. Sunday, December 3, 2023, the car started showing the same code. Monday, December 4, 2023, I drove the car to Hyundai in Denton. I was immediately told by Billy the serviceman, that they had no loaner vehicles, and the shuttle did not run on Monday. We called on Thursday, December 7, 2023, and were told by Billy the car was ready. I took an Uber over there and when I arrived, Billy said it would be an additional 90 minutes I had to wait. Around 5 PM, Billy found me in the waiting area and said, I have bad news, "While we were doing the test drive, the engine seized, and the car is dead." He then tells me, "We need to submit a request to Hyundai for an engine replacement and no we don't have a loaner car and we will need to see your oil change records." After telling Billy, please don't try to blame this on us, I left in an Uber. We spoke to Billy again on Friday, December 7, 2023, and was told, he submitted the paperwork to Hyundai and was not sure of the timeframe. We called Billy back on Monday, December 11, 2023, and were told again, that he had no updated information, the paperwork had been submitted and no need to call him again, he would call us. I decided to call the Hyundai Customer Service number and after speaking to a case manager, I was told Billy had not submitted any paperwork but would try to get to it, today or tomorrow. I was also told it could take 2-3 weeks for an answer and in the meantime, car rentals are up to my discretion and loaner cars are at the discretion of the dealership. I have never in my life seen this type of poor customer service from someone who is supposed to be on the customer's side. I am going to write and contact every person I can because we are not being treated fairly or respectfully. And this is not our fault in the least bit. I am disappointed and frustrated with Eckert Hyundai and I have no words for the way we have been treated by Billy in the service department. read more

My second car buying experience and I couldn't ask for a better dealership or salesman! I found the car online on Autotrader, for the price, the year, the mileage, and the car model, I was super optimistic, especially after visiting several dealerships already with no luck. I made a call to Eckert Hyundai first before driving here just to make sure they still have the car. When I showed up, they had the key ready for me to go on a test drive. Charles Palmer was my sale representative. He gave me the option of taking the test drive by myself, or he could ride along with me. By myself it was! The test drive took longer than the actual buying process. I-35 around 5-6pm is a horrible time to be on. I was stuck in traffic for a good while just trying to go a few miles North of 35. Must have taken me close to 45mins to get back, surprised I didn't get a call from them asking if the car is still in one piece lol. The car has a price tag on the windshield that's more than $2,000 above the listed price I found on Autotrader and the dealership website. They of course honored the online pricing, but being Asian, I couldn't help but tried to negotiate for even lower price. It never hurts to ask. I ended up saving couple hundred dollars on top of the already low price. Hyundai is not my choice of car, but luckily I was buying the car for someone else to get a chance to come here. I liked the car but you did not have the color I was looking for in stock or on order. I was told that although the sticker was for approximately 39000 you have a 1000 Dollar premium on all cars due to the shortage. I said that I thought that that was not to my liking and that even on my C8 corvette I paid sticker price. The salesman said that it is hidden somewhere in the contract but if I could find it I should by it. Once I returned home I noted I had left my phone in the car I test drove. By this time your dealership was closed. I searched on line for a dealer that might have what I was looking for and found 1 vehicle. However when I called it was designated for sale. They did a search and found one in Killeen Tx. I called and they had the car we negotiated a price that included their delivering it to me 180 miles away. On Monday morning I called and came to your dealership and retrieved my phone. I came inside and told tem that I had found a vehicle at another dealership without the premium and with taxes, the delivery to my home and a couple of extras I did not want the total was $200 dollars less than your sticker price plus the premium. I was told by the a sales person and your sales manager that they would tack on additional charges but if I could I should buy it. Once home I called the other dealer and arranged the financing and the transport and signed papers and arranged to have the car delivered before 1 pm the next day. (Tuesday). The total with taxes etc. was 39100 delivered to my door. You vehicle, same except white was 38,345 plus $1000, tax and license. Since a driver brought the there was no orientation and was told I could get it at the local dealer. I called the service manager at Eckert Robbie Miller about getting the orientation. Robbie said to bring the car in any day and he could try, but that the sales department had better knowledge and I might have to talk to them too. On the 19th I brought the car to Eckert, however Robbie was not there. A service rep found a sales person to help me (Tony). I had met Tony the Monday I picked up my phone. Tony came out to advise me. He did show me the driver assist. and asked him to get back in the car to go over the rest of my items (About 10). He went inside came out, got in the car, got a phone call and had a customer and left. I asked if there was anyone else to help me and was told to see the sales manager. I went to see him (Mike) and basically he said I had been rude to his people and that I bought the car elsewhere they should do the orientation and did not care where I got my service done. I later called and left a message for you or your brother to please call. Shortly after I received a call from a person identifying as Mike. I assumed it was Mike Eckert and relayed my experience. At the end of my review the person on the phone said " this who you where talking to" when you came in to dealership. I found out his name was also Mike, the sales manager. Again he relayed his opinion that there may have been a misunderstanding, but that I was rude to his people and that I could take my business elsewhere. After realizing that you probably did not get the message I left I responded to an email that came from your Finance department and I was given the email address I have used for this correspondence. At this point I was somewhat disappointed that I bought the Hyundai even though I like the car. In 64 years of buying cars I do not think I have ever had this kind of response. The experience has left a very bad taste and I still did not know how to operate all the systems. The bright spot is that on Thursday the 19th I called Robbie and explained that I had brought the car in and what had occurred upon finding that he was not in that day. He stated that he had many meetings through Friday and suggested I bring the car in that Saturday morning, the 22nd and he would go over the orientation with me and if there where questions he could not answer he would find the answer. I was very impressed with Robbie and how he handled the situation and very happy to know he can do any warranty service I should require. I have been looking for a white 2023 Tucson SEL for months now; but dealerships were always sold out by the time I arrived. I saw online that Eckert had one in stock so we went to check it out. We drove the car which had about 5 miles on it and loved it. When it came time to talk numbers, the manager would not budge on the sticker price, We left disappointed but hopeful they would come back with a least a small amount off the sticker price. We then saw that Van Hyundai in Carrollton had the same car with a different color interior in stock. Van came with a price of about $1,000 off the sticker price and the window tint included at no charge. We called Eckert to see if they could match the price, being that we liked the interior color of the car at Eckert better. The salesman, Alex, then informed us that it was his understanding that Van would tag on a lot of extra charges at signing, and that Eckert would not come down from the sticker price quoted. NO extra charges were tacked on at Van by the way. I am now a proud owner of a Tucson from Van Hyundai in Carrollton. read more

Should have come w the car. Another hour to install and get it programmed over the phone. That was a frustrating ordeal. Took three tries to get it. $545 to change a headlight bulb just out or warranty. Took three tries get my plates. Dealer plates 6 weeks expired when they finally put plates in the mail. I like the service center here. I had to call different locations in the area for new rotors. They had the best price , which seemed weird to me - you would think all locations would offer the same price...Anyways, they are open for a few hours on Saturday ( not ever dealership is for service around here), so I dropped it off and it was done 2 hours later. Which for the rotors I got quotes for anywhere up to 4 hours from other places. Staff was friendly and informative, I'll definately come back here for my next service need , even though the drive is a bit out of the way for me. read more

I took my vehicle in for an oil change and to get some bulbs looked at as I was having trouble with bulbs in the headlights and turn signals going in and out with no rhyme or reason. They said that they have to run a diagnostics test ($140) to figure out what was wrong with the lights. I said sure go for it. They came back and said there was an issue with my rear break light and that they needed to replace a harness. I said sure go for it. $300 later I was like awesome my lights issue is resolved. A couple of weeks later my turn signal and front headlight went out. I went back to Eckert and they replaced them saying that they must've just gone bad but assured me that my bulbs replaced by them had a one year warranty. The day RIGHT after my turn signal went out again. Drove to Eckert for the THIRD time to get the turn signal checked and they wanted to charge me AGAIN for a diagnostic test. I told them that I wouldn't be paying for another diagnostic as one had already been paid for. I then asked that they change the light bulb since it was under warranty and they refused to change it saying that it wouldn't resolve the issue. They had it for a month and hardly no communication except when I pestered them about the progress. They kept telling one thing was wrong after another. The techs didn't know what they were fixing. I've been to so many dealerships and this tactic was a first for me, good thing I backed out by trusting my gut.
