Do not bring your vehicle here for service! Brought it in for a CEL that was covered under warranty. I dropped it off on Friday 1/2. They didn't even begin to diagnose the vehicle until 1/6 (it turned out to be a problem with the coolant system). During those several days I tried to check in with the service advisors to see any progress as I hadn't heard a thing. No matter how many times I called no one would answer the phone. I ended up having to drive to the dealership multiple times to get any updates. After a series of poor communication through the week, the vehicle was finally ready to be picked up Saturday 1/10. Well not even 3 hours after getting it back, the check engine light came back on. The dealer was closed by then until Monday so I did some work of my own to diagnose the problem. The "technicians" didn't bleed the coolant lines of air after they filled it back up. So my jeep was running very low on coolant. I brought the jeep back to them on Monday 1/12 first thing in the morning. They confirmed there was air in the lines, they bleed the lines of air and filled it back up and returned it to me. Well later that very same day, I turn off the jeep and it just completely dies. No lights on dash or anything. The battery was toast, so I called them back. They said the technicians didn't touch the battery and there was no way I can prove they caused the battery to die. I was on my own with replacing it. Sure it could've been coincidence that the battery died on its own, but based on past incompetence it doesn't look good on them. Overall horrible service, bad to nonexistent communication, and incompetence in the techs that caused multiple issues where I had to bring my jeep back to them to fix read more

Brought our new to us 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee L in for warranty repairs. A new headlamp assembly and valve train noise. I also bought four new tires and a four wheel alignment. A+ on the headlamp replacement, tires and alignment. F- on the valvetrain noise. They ended up replacing all our rocker arms and lifters. And it worked. So why am I unhappy about this part of the repair? Because the vehicle was returned to me as if completed. Yet it had loose wiring harnesses, an unsecured coolant line, and they'd lost or misplaced my engine cover which is more than merely for appearances, it dramatically reduces engine noise in the cabin. The worst was yet to come. When I told them it was difficult to reach anyone on the phone and when I finally did, I was told my car didn't have an engine cover. In the end it was very frustrating experience and I am left wondering if other customers have been sent home with unfinished repairs or missing parts and just don't realize it or worse, were gaslit into believing an untruth. I will say that once I was able to get the attention of the service director the experience changed for the better and I am hopeful he will be more involved in the day to day of the shop going forward. While I cannot recommend this dealer and will use a competitor for service going forward, I am hopeful others will have better experiences and this will just be a learning opportunity for the dealer. read more

DO NOT bring your vehicle(s) here for service. We have purchased a new truck here-in 2024. The experience was fine. But this past week we had our newest RAM, a 2025 2500 towed here after the DEF line broke. It has been a week of little/no communication, having to call the dealership and wade through prompts to get a live person on the phone only to be told standard "Classroom Coaching" in response to our questions. We were told; "the part gets here tomorrow", "nope not today, maybe the next day" and my favorite "we can't tell you when the part will be in because sometimes it takes months because components have to be sent from other locations to the factory for the part to be assembled". The longer it took to get the part, the vaguer the answers were. And our service advisor, Julie, who NEVER personally answers the number she sent to contact her and who takes forever to text a response (and took a day off without appointing a contact or letting us know she was going to be away) had ZERO response or concern when my husband asked in a text if we needed to get it to another dealership. I think most business owners would expect employees to take a question like business walking out the door more seriously. We did contact the dealership where we purchased it and had plans in place to make a move after the weekend if needed. Even calling the Group 1 dealership to try and speak with her directly was repeatedly "she's on the phone with other customers". Then when I do finally talk to a live service advisor (don't even know who it was) I am given the part number and order number and told I can contact Customer Care. I did contact Customer Care and open a case file on Friday afternoon and "WOW" we get a text on Saturday that the part has been delivered to the Group 1 dealership, and the truck will be ready to pick up Monday. Monday, at 10:52 we get a text that says the truck will be ready at 12:00. I arrive at 12:23 to pick up the truck and I am told that it is not ready because the paperwork is wrong (wrong price on the part) and that I will need to wait while they correct it. I was going to speak to the Service Manager but I doubted it made much sense to spend my breath on the conversation. read more

WORST SHOP EXPERIENCE EVER!!!! My 2024 RAM 2500 had a service light come on with the rear bumper sensors. I took it into the NEW Denton service shop where I was told it would take a day. When I received a call the next day, I was told that my extended warranty company would only pay up to $150/ hr for labor and their service was $225/ hr. ($50+ over the Texas average) Unknowing this, I called the dealer I bought this truck from and they cut me a check for the difference. THEY MADE THINGS RIGHT!! Week 2: I hear nothing. I call up there and they inform me that they have ordered the part 2 & 3 times and it is constantly coming in wrong. At this point I wanted to take the truck home until they figured it out and ill bring it back. I was told it's a liability and I should leave it there. Plus If I drove off without the work being done, I was to pay the $225 diagnostic fee...It kind of felt like my truck was being held hostage. Week 3: I show up at the shop to speak with the Service Manager Waco. I discuss my frustration with Waco that not only is this taking forever, but his team has had no communication with me WHATSOEVER! He proceeds to tell me that his guys have a hard time delivering bad news. Waco addresses all the problems they are having with trying to find the part. However, the only thing they are doing is ordering different parts in hopes that one will work. Week 4: Still not receiving any communication, I called up and no one was in. When I asked the advisor to give me a status, he said that it was on the lift being worked on. YAY! That next morning, I call to see if the truck is complete and I'm being told that the part was wrong again. I drove up that afternoon to speak again with Waco. He brings the parts guy in to show me exactly the issue they are having. Basically, they order a part # that matches the wiring diagram but receives a different part. To my knowledge, they have ordered 4+ parts at this point. I have tried to be accommodating but at this point I am losing all patience. I still decided to leave it there. I asked Waco "what's next?" He tells me that they are communicating with the vendor and they are going to send over a picture of the part prior to them ordering it. He told me, If that doesn't work, they will replace the entire harness, or they will work with Stellantis engineers to build the part. Before I left, I told them that I didn't like the idea of replacing the entire harness as they would have to rip the truck apart. Everyone knows that things never go back together the same way as they do out of the factory. Also, I didn't want the bill that comes from the labor difference for them doing this. He nods and agrees. Week 5 (Saturday): I called up there because SURPRISE, still no communication. I was told by a parts guy that a part was ordered, and the truck is on the lift being worked on. He assured me that the part worked and it should be ready by Monday. When I showed up, I was told they replaced the harness and I owed $850. I am livid and asked to speak to Waco and he is the least accommodating. He has an attitude the whole time speaking and when I express my anger and frustration about how I asked him last week not to do it with out telling me, he says "This is a problem between you and your Extended Warranty company." I told them I was never asked for any approval to do this and explicitly asked them not to do the harness change. I was originally quoted for $400, that turned into $850 all because they could find the part. I am LIVID at this point as no approval was given and now my truck really was held hostage. I tell them I need the paperwork out of my truck to call the warranty company, and he sends an advisor to go get it. As if I'm going to drive away. He then holds on to my keys personally until I paid. Moral of the story: 1. NO COMMUNICATION 2. It took 5 weeks for them to source a part 3. They will not go above and beyond to find a solution as it may take too much time or effort 4. Their shop rate is higher than the TX average 5. I was never asked for approval of work read more

I don't recommend this dealership at all for service. My Jeep went in there for an insurance to get stuff fixed from an accident and the guy didn't even fix the items he was supposed to the first time I had to take it back so it was on the third try that he finally fix things on the lock, but he didn't get the other items fixed with the dash Then they didn't the cloak spring, which was under a recall he changed that plus putting plastic on and then put them put all the screws in there, but I had the plastic pushed against the steering wheel. Tori could barely turn it, and I told the people there that the steering wheel doesn't turn back on its own when you let it go it just stays stuck cause it's rubbing on the plastic. They said oh it's fine that's normal. Usually, after you do the cloak spring it's like that which a bunch of bowl the guy had the plastic around the steering column pushed into the steering wheel. I ended up just doing it myself. I took the plastic off and just shaved off the edge pushes against the steering wheel which they should've done this put it back together took it back to him showed him and they said oh wow that was the issue. It was a very fast, simple fix. It took me a total of taking it off Sand off that piece of plastic and put it back on for 15 minutes, but they made up every excuse in like 40 minutes why it was OK it was not even safe to drive with the steering wheel like that yet to use two hands to turn the strain wheel. I don't recommend going back to the shop ever again. I don't plan on it and I don't want any of family having their cars down there? I don't feel that they do safe work friends of mine quit going there cause I got screwed over my friend bought two new Mazda took him back there and they had issues with them on brand new cars and then they gave her a big old story so he took him to another dealership myself. I took my Jeep to Huffines to have them finish with the dash and get that fixed and they didn't one day instead of spinning there for over a week like they did they kept telling me that they were working on my jeep when I see it in the parking lot on my tracking and shows when the ignition turns off and on, they say always in the shop, I can see the tracking that it was parked in the back parking lot. They just need to not line just tell the truth if they say they need to get to it later no problem just be honest until the truth. That's all don't lie. read more

I purchased a Lexus used car from the pre-owned lot August 2024. Due to some deception with the sales and financial aspects it has costed THOUSAND$ over the course of 10 months. They sold me a car with a broken vanity mirror. Who does that? After getting in touch with the manager he did fix the issue, but little did I know it was indicative of what was to come. Two months later, I had to replace brakes, rotors, tie rod assembly, and two of the "new tires" due to a persistent slow leak. A month later I had to replace the water pump. So this was all within the first 90 days, there goes another 3 grand. A month ago, my roof starts peeling. Weird, I thought. Especially since they told me that it was a "special edition" blackout package and comes painted that way. This was after I specifically asked about the black top and spoiler prior to purchasing! It didn't make a difference in the sale for sure so there was no point to lying BUT now my "special edition" turned out to be wrapped! You have to take care of wrap differently and you have to have it removed or rewrapped after a couple years! This is a costly investment in itself. Wrap removal is around $250, then who knows what that paint looks like under? So then you are looking at another $250 to wrap the top (while committing financially to rewrapping every 2 years.) or you have to have it repainted which is $2500. After receiving a wrap and a paint consultation, I visited this location in person. Surprisingly, DJ and Don were very helpful and told me they will take care of it. I have a work order to get the wrap removed and paint corrected as needed. I will update once the job is done. read more

I will never go back to buy or get service after how shady they were! Took our car to get service under warranty and they backed a truck into our car in the garage while it was being fixed. Since that happened we have had issues with our tailgate. We took it in multiple times and finally they diagnosed a tailgate latch issue sending us a quote for $2k which did include some other issues we didn't need fixed. We went back and forth since this was their fault and they agreed to fix it. When we went to get the car they said they had to replace our battery. A battery we had no issues with when we brought it in! The cost ended up being almost the same as the tailgate! This was a very frustrating experience and on top of this we took it in Monday and didn't hear from them until we called them on Wednesday! read more

I always come to this dealership to have my Jeep serviced. I've had oil changes, tire rotations, a visor fixed, recalls, and recently a check engine light. Each time I had a pleasant experience. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. The waiting room is a decent size with tv, tables, snacks and water. I've never had anyone try to sell me more than what I was there for. Update: This was in March 2024, they message on google April 2024 saying they will look into It, it's now June 2024 I have not heard from anyone. I will be filing a complaint. I came in for oil change, waited for a long time, and they tried to charge my car for diesel oil change. I then ask did they put diesel oil in my car and if so it's needs to be redone correctly. They said they did not but I'm not convinced. I still have the original receipt where they were trying to charge for diesel and then the secondary receipt. I also received paperwork saying they didn't do tire inspection or anything because for I waited for long time and things were done wrong. I assume not sure why the normal check up was not performed. I noticed after my windshield fluid light came on but I had an appointment to be at. With off and on rain and the car washed I had needed to use it. I finally came around to filling it and notice some of the fluid is coming out under the car. It did not happen before that change. Now ironically I receive an email yesterday saying Washer fluid bottle or hose leaking needs diagnostic service needed and a charge. How is that when that was not on my original paperwork nor was it an issue before. I think it ironic and it seems shady. Like my things was purposely damaged to squeeze more money. This email was sent to me a month later. Not near or during my services. On my original paper work again it shows they did no diagnosis and I asked did they check tires and etc they said no because they running behind. Of course I could stay longer but opted not too. They need to fix this for not charge as I feel like they already had made a mistake. I have email as proof as well. I will be filing more complaints this is ridiculous. The messed thing is I even bought from this dealership and if I wanted to trade it I wouldn't and advise other not to if they service is shady. Never taking one of my vehicles to be serviced here again. Denton Dodge did some warranty work for my wife's Jeep and the technician left all of the engine cradle bolts completely loose. She drove like that for over a month until I went to do the next oil change myself. Three of the cradle bolts were completely missing and all the others were hanging on by a thread. The tech never torqued them. What a complete joke of a service department. They also said they performed additional warranty work that was not actually done. And I have the pics to prove it. My son, on his 18th birthday, and 3 days from needing to leave for Fort Bliss, bought his first new to him vehicle - a 2014 Jeep Cherokee. my father went with us, but not knowing anything about Jeeps, he was there simply to make sure we weren't ripped off on price, interest, etc. He pulled the Car Fax, which was clean. Shortly after getting to Bliss, we had the first issue with the car. it cost almost $1000 to fix. the mechanic said there were aftermarket parts, parts that did not belong in a Jeep Cherokee, and clamps missing on hoses. After that, it was worked on 3 more times (less than 2 years after buying), causing an active service member to have to take out a payday loan to repair it. He is currently deployed and left behind his wife, and now 11 month old son. a month ago, I had to go get my daughter in law and grandson off the side of the road and have the Jeep towed. The mechanic was almost finished and getting ready to flush the coolant (which had been leaking along with the oil, and a hose with no clamps came loose) when they attempted to start the car. On the 3rd try of hitting the push start button, a fire ball erupted out of the hood. The vehicle had not even started. It very quickly became a total loss. Apparently there was a crack in the fuel injector. Why no one saw that previously is anyone's guess, but the point is that this car clearly was not looked over by the dealership's service department before they sold it. Or they just didn't care. Come to find out, this vehicle had 15 recalls when it was new, but there is no record of whether or not the work was ever done. How you get a clean car fax with that POS Jeep is beyond me. That has to be illegal. The first time the car had to be worked on, 2-3 weeks after buying, we attempted to call the dealership for help. No one cared that we had been sold a car that clearly was either never checked over by the service department, or they used inferior/stripped parts. Obviously, this was an early Friday Morning, when they were not at the peak hour, but it was the transparency and team approach. From the sales member to the trade in team, to the finance team, to the final contract, this group worked together and there was absolutely no shady, haggle, or BS. I took my jeep there at the end of Dec 2024 had oil change and 15 point inspection (so fluids should be topped off). My jeep was making a noise in the dash line water pouring then light would come on saying engine was running hot. (indicating to me coolant is low). I called service in Jan 2025 to ask about this when Deion from service answered my call. I was trying to explain to him what was going on and he kept trying to cut me off then once i finally got to finish he asked if I was bringing it in then to which I said no I was at work then he responded why are you calling me then. He was very rude and could care less about customer service. So I called the service manager and also messaged online about talking to the service manager but the service manager NEVER contacted me to get this straightened out. I received my Jeep maybe 4-5 weeks after I ordered it which was super fast compared to what I thought. Tim didn't call as often as he could have (that was probably just my excitement playing in) but I got updates along the way just fine by checking in with Tim my salesman. I picked it up with everything as I ordered and looked perfect. He made sure all the pieces and accessories I ordered were accounted for and sent me on my way. Another thing! Jeep (or Classic) sent me touch up paint that matched my Jeep just randomly as a thank you. It was very welcome surprise and over the top gesture and much appreciated. I've had my Jeep now for about 7 months and no issues to report. I love the Jeep and just brought it in for its first courtesy oil change from the dealership. I made an appointment same day and came in on a Saturday. I mentioned a minor floor mat issue which they noted down and hopefully will address. They are busy today so quoted an hour and half wait which is fine by me. I have free coffee and snacks and a comfortable place to sit while I wait. Bought a used Jeep recently and brought it to Denton Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram this morning as I knew it was time for a battery. Before going, I researched retail battery prices (vehicle also has an aux battery) so I knew going in what costs were. Wasn't I surprised when this dealership wanted close to $900 to do the work. Costs I found were retail $250 for primary battery and $90 for aux. So that's retail price of $350 - and we all know the dealership is NOT paying a retail price for the parts. Manager refused to discount the price and offered no other options - so I left and explored other options on my own. Went straight to Auto Zone in Little Elm where the assistant manager Abraham took the time to ask me some questions about what was important to me and how I use the vehicle. He suggested I replace just the primary battery as I really don't use the features powered by the aux battery - I just needed to get back on the road safely as I use the vehicle for my small business. The Little Elm AutoZone even installed my battery - FOR FREE - and had me on my way in under 20 minutes for under $300. AMAZING. CARING. REASONABLY PRICED SERVICE!!! Friends and Neighbors, unless you have money to throw away DO NOT PURCHASE A CAR BATTERY FROM A DEALERSHIP!!! I get it that costs on things are more than they were a few years ago. Bottom line Denton Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram never offered me any other options, or discounts to earn my business as a new JEEP owner. They have had my jeep for three weeks (dropped it off July 25th) and will have it for at least another one. I understand that parts are hard to get right now and everything is taking longer. It took them a week to diagnose the issue. The problem is they do NOT communicate. I received a text July 29th that they had received the part. My husband had to physically go up there last Thursday morning (08/11/22) and corner someone to get information. That is when we found out that they will have it at least another week. They found something else wrong and need to order another part. They told him that they should get the part Friday (08/12/22). He went up there AGAIN on 08/13/22. The part didn't come in. They didn't bother calling to let us know. They do not return calls and all you get is sent to voicemail. CRAPPY customer service. We are nothing but a bother to them. read more

Ok, I've never done a review of a dealership before, but the poor service of the "service" department has lead me to do so. I have a 2008 jeep with a bumper to bumper lifetime warranty and have a transmission leak that is covered by the warranty. It has now been 4 weeks and it is still in the shop and I've been out $800 on rentals to date. No offer of a loaner car or assistance with a rental and only lies from the GM Walter Adams. I live alone and thankfully am able to work from home, but really have to get out on the weekends. This is a 2 day fix and I'm now at day 30 and still no car! I don't care if I have to drive to Frisco. They will never get my business again and I will warn anyone from ever visiting this dealership. read more

I bought a brand new RAM on a Friday morning from another dealer several cities away and after driving home an indicator light came on. I took a chance and drove it to Classic dodge because they were the closest dealership to where I live. Let me say this, From this day forward I will take my truck to this service department for ALL my servicing. The way Brice in the service department treated me (at closing time mind you) was as though I was their only customer. Without hesitation he tried all the simple tests he could right there in the bay and then he got a technician to take it back and hook a machine up to diagnose the issue right then. Brice and the technicians who took care of us made me a customer for life. These guys know how to take care of their customers. I took my car to Denton Chrysler back in November 2022. The communication was horrible and after various excuses about why some things still were not completed, I finally picked up the car at the end of December. I was told two parts had been ordered (and I was charged already) but hadn't come in yet. I checked weekly in January but with no word back. Finally, I was told they were in...this was February. I was also told my previous contact was no longer with the company. I was called (first time for them to reach out to me) and told it was ready to pick up. I went to pick it up and only one of the two items was completed. I asked about the other and the guy said he didn't know about it (I let him know HE was the one I talked to the previous week who said THAT part was in and they were ready to install it). After having ~$3,000 of services done and it taking essentially almost 3 months, and horrible customer service, they offered me $50 off and called it a day. I was hoping to find a place for my new to me car for future service but instead I will not only never use them again, I will be letting everyone who asks, don't ever take your car here! read more

Excellent customer service! This was my first time here getting services done for my Jeep Wrangler. My service advisor Shane, was very professional, answered any questions, and even made a recommendation to get my vehicle inspection being that my renewal is due. The price was very comparable to any other place that offers it plus a time saver for me since I was already waiting for my vehicle. They originally told me that it most likely take the technicians two hours but ended up finishing sooner. My tire pressure was low and they took care of it without me even asking. Service department is completely inept. Unprofessional poorly trained employees without a clue on how to service their customers. The people at this dealership couldn't screw in a basic lightbulb without messing it up. Save yourself some grief and take your vehicle to Huffines right up the road in Lewisvill. read more
