I absolutely love coming here any chance I get. Chrissy makes the most delicious and intricate drinks both from the menu and on the fly. She crafted me a beautiful improvised cocktail called the "Ohh Banana" that was lit on fire and hit with a fiery charred cinnamon dust! On Saturday Feb 3rd we had some time to kill so we tried getting a drink here after eating at Tokyo Cowboy. Walked downstairs and up to the host stand outside by the water and she said "For two it'll be about" and I said "Oh sorry we're a party of 5" to which she scoffed and said "That'll be even worse.. 45 minutes". I declined and when we walked to exit through Hugman's and back up the stairs to Tokyo Cowboy (because we parked near the outside of it) she BARKED at me and my party that there was no open seating inside Hugman's. She was so rude and such a bad vibe and obviously needs to be retrained by management. The issue was not the wait time, it's a Saturday night and I have a party of 5, of course there will be a wait time, the problem was her attitude. Horrible first impression. read more

We have been here many times and have always enjoyed delicious drinks! The inside is well decorated to suit a tiki bar, and the outside area has tiki torches that provide an excellent ambiance along the river walk at night. We've gotten many drinks in the past, but now that they serve food now we tried the pulled pork sliders and classic mai tai. They were excellent! The only reason I give it 4/5 stars is for the high price of drinks - but that is expected along the river walk. read more

This past week I experienced the sorriest, laziest, and most miserable bartender of my life. My first mistake was asking Bridgett if I could order drinks since she had been ignoring me for 5 minutes slowly washing glasses without even acknowledging us. She informed me she would get to it when she was finished. She made one drink for our group....a simple drink from the frozen drink machine and then to punish us she went upstairs for 20 minutes under the pretense of getting a bottle. It was obvious to all of us she hated her job, she hated us and her goal was to provide the worlds worst service. She succeeded I tried contacting ownership. " Crickets " They evidently condone her obnoxious and boorish behavior. It's a cool place and I've received great service before from their bartenders. This place is the real deal. I have studied the old tiki recipes thanks to Jeff Berry for over 12 years and these guys know what they're doing. The inside of the restaurant is over the top loaded and a full tiki experience. Highly recommend having a Zombie and the Mai Tia's are spot on. The decor was spot on. Very cool place with a great ambience. The drinks were beautiful served in some great tiki mugs. The staff was nice. It was a great place to stop and take a rest. The drinks unfortunately were very strong and I couldn't taste anything but the alcohol. I was hoping to be able to taste some of the cool homemade syrups, but the alcohol just overpowered everything. Okay...were to start....park across the street in the parking garage...20-2hrs..walked across the street and took an elevator that was there down to the ground floor. Now the elevator takes you to the back of the bar and you have to walk through the tables to get to the front which you access from the riverwalk. That was confusing because no one was there to direct you and the elevator has no other access points once you get to the bar level. We walk around to the front and miss the booth so we go through a door which looks like a hotels access door. I ask a waiter guy and he says you have to go around to the front. We had a reservation on open table and it wasn't busy so the lady sat us at a small table with a view of construction and fences....the hotels said the waiter knew we were there and would come..He walked passed a few time and since we were seated right across from the hostess she said again and sorry because he was covering everone....So we asked if we could get out own and she said if we wanted so my husband went to the bar for us. TLDR: Bartender lost my credit card & is ghosting me My coworkers and I were served by Jordan who says he is the Bar Manager. When I closed my tab, he only gave me the receipt to sign but no credit card. When I asked him for my card, he looked around and said he was unable to find it. He mentioned that he will text me around close so he can move the bar back, that maybe it dropped between a tight space. I texted him as I was leaving the River walk area and went back to the bar around 10:30pm to see if he had any luck. I asked if it was possible they mistakenly gave it to someone else, he said no. I texted him again at 1am around close, since I hadn't heard back. He apologized that he was unable to find my card. I understand accidents happen but I am really frustrated for the inconvenience this has caused. It was the only form of payment I had brought with me. I am here for business. I also have no way of making any purchases including meals during a long flight back home. The only thing I have is my credit card tied to Lyft to take me to the airport. Over the last couple of days, the Bar Manager has chosen to not respond and at this point I'm disappointed there has been no acknowledgment whatsoever. I have also emailed the Owner and haven't heard back. I am a reasonable person however the negligence combined with absence of communication is unacceptable. Came here on a weekend at the end of Fiesta with some out of town friends mostly for the novelty of a tiki bar. We were not disappointed! I was surprised that for being on the river walk, the prices were normal cocktail prices! The drinks are crafted with care! Just watch the bartender make your drink! We tried various drinks most were tasty and strong! The ambience is unmatched. The music is on theme and adds to the fun whimsical vibe. They did a wonderful job with the interior design. It's best to get a reservation! There are tables inside and out and of course you can drink at the bar. The outside patio is on the river walk and unlike other places, the patio is just as well designed as the inside! Park in a parking garage nearby and walk down onto the river. What a fun bar! This place is TINY...just a bar with a handful of tables inside plus a patio along side the riverwalk right. The drinks were incredible. Very strong and served in tiki glasses. I've never seen a tiki theme done quite so well. My husband and I enjoyed our drinks on the patio while we watched the cruise boats pass by. Wow this place is such a gem! We stumbled upon this place late on a Friday night while walking the RiverWalk. It was a cooler, quieter night and pretty dead around. We looked up and saw some tiki torches and were intrigued. Outside they have plenty of seating but inside is where it's at. It's got a very spot on theme decor for tiki. From the lighting to the wallpaper, lighting, and even the specialty drinks, everything brought up the mood. The bartenders and servers are all very friendly, kind, and seemed to work hard to help you out. Can get pretty crowded on the inside, but not so bad if you can get yourself a table! The drink menu is pretty fire. There are different drink combinations of different types of alcohol and every drink we tried was delicious! Fruity, tropical flavors as well as some more mellow ones.
