Gosh, such a fun place, maybe we even had too much fun... Drinks are very tasty and unique, you really can't go wrong. And there are even fun options if you don't like rum! The bartender is so nice and we also had conversations with others at the bar. This spot is so fun to hang out at for a couple hours, definitely add it to your list!

After doing the River Walk cruise and it was a great way to wind down. I ordered the Missionary Downfall. The drink was smooth, tropical, and well balanced without being overly sweet. I love the crushed ice that they use. Easy to sip and refreshing, especially after being out on the water. The atmosphere fit the tiki theme perfectly and felt relaxed without being over the top. Service was friendly and the location right on the River Walk made it an easy stop. A fun place to grab a drink and take in the vibe after a cruise or a long walk along the river.

For those who know me and see me barely writing this, YES, it is late! ;) We went to San Antonio with a large group of friends and we try to plan events and whatnot. We had just finished a ghost tour and someone mentioned that some of our friends were meeting at this place. I am 99% it was impromptu. The place was amazing and gave us this section. We filled up all the seats and the little love tunnel or whatever that end one was. I will say, being the social butterfly that I am, I was visiting with everyone and EVERYONE was enjoyng themselves. What is it about a tiki place that makes everyone so happy. You just cannnot be sad at a tiki place. I was happy that one of our firends found this plce and truly enjoyed myself. Great drinks and the staff was fantastic! Thank you for being so great!

What a fun place to grab a cocktail and an appetizer!! We were able to sit overlooking the river and were greeted immediately by Kiara who was so sweet & pleasant!! We ordered the coconut shrimp (delicious) and we each had the Painkiller. The drinks were delivered in tropical glasses and didn't disappoint!! We really enjoyed our time here!!

We were barhopping along the Riverwalk and came into this tiki oasis. Set up like a Tiki speakeasy. This location is small, but comes with a lot of theming and a cute tropical vibe. There is very limited seating, but we were fortunate enough to be able to grab a spot outside overlooking the river walk. I will say inside definitely has a smell to it. Perhaps the drains haven't been cleaned as much as they need - but a smell lingers in the air. I had the Saint Lucius fashioned and it was OK. My husband got the eight year Appleton's rum with some Coke and it basically tasted like water. So the quality of the drinks is questionable.

Hugman's is probably one of my go to spots when I'm bar hopping downtown or have out of town friends to show around. Such a cute little tiki bar that immediately takes you to another place when you walk in. It's right on the riverwalk and has seating inside and outside available. They have the cutest tiki drinks and are all hand crafted and made to order. Most come in picture worthy tiki cups and I've even ordered one that came with fire! It's worth noting that the bathrooms are always clean and beautiful decorated. Definitely a regular in my rotation!

We live in San Antonio and we wanted to go see the holiday lights on the river walk. As we were walking on the river walk we ran across Hugman's Oasis tiki bar so decided to check it out. The inside is not too big so our group sat in the outside area. Beautiful tiki bar inside and out. Super fun holiday drinks. VERY AWESOME PLACE! Though small, the place offers a very nice vibe. We were in San Antonio during the coldest week this year and this place was a nice slice of oasis. This place is fun to just be at. The decor makes a really cool ambiance. The drinks are delicious. They also have food which ive ordered a couple things and they did not disappoint. The bartenders are nice and they make good recommendations for any drinks you might want to try.

What can I say, honestly one of my favorite spots on the RiverWalk now! Such a relaxing spot to have amazing unique drinks, enjoy the outdoors or inside at the bar with a cool vibe, and the best customer service! When I first came in I was a little upset because my table wasn't ready and than the drinks I ordered were taking long but Bridget came to the rescue and made sure my friends and I got taken care of and made my experience so much better. She was super sweet, very attentive, and went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our night! Honestly the best customer service I've had in a very long time! Amy was also great and gave great customer service! She also made sure we were very happy with our experience. They both went above and beyond and are the reason I will keep coming back. Great customer service is a must and management should be proud! Can't wait to come back. Definitely recommend checking this place out! read more

Such an adorable tiki bar along the river! I've been to tiki bars in a number of different cities, and this was definitely the most well decorated one I've been to! The drink cups were so cute and it was so fun to watch them light the painkiller on fire. The painkiller was delicious. The Oaxacan Dead was pretty good but didn't taste strongly enough of mezcal for me. Definitely recommend! read more

NO AIR CONDITIONING!! Picture it San, Antonio, July 2023 you walk into this bar, handful of people and it's so hot in there it's cooler outside than in the bar!! People that are inside her asking the help why there's no air conditioning!! They tell you it's broken and management won't fix it!! how do you have an establishment in San Antonio in the middle of summer with the temperatures in the hundreds with no air conditioning??? Tiki! Tiki! Tiki! This is such a cool new bar in San Antonio on the Riverwalk! It seems a little out of place, to have such a cool tiki interior of a bar at such a great location on the San Antonio Riverwalk. You'd expect this bar to be in Thailand or Palau, or some tropical isle on Skull Mountain. There's been a lot of hype about the cocktails around here- apparently the bar staff got a bunch of their ideas from the bartenders over at Hot Joy, so I've heard. This helped them make some killer drinks! I saw one that was dusted with cinnamon, then set on fire! Incredible. I ended up getting something cold and strong. I didn't know what to get- each drink seems to contain at least one ingredient that I've never heard of. Just sitting at the bar, looking over all the types of booze- there's so many here that I'd just never heard of! Amazing stuff. Love the obscure booze, and the wild drink ideas in awesome drinkware. They seemed to be having some problems with food when we went, and that didn't seem to be an option. I asked about beer, and they only had something strange like Beer Lao, but no Lone Star Beer. Their patio is nowhere near as cool as the interior here. The interior looks like you're hanging out in some headhunters' village drinking wild concoctions from the jungle. Outside, they have the Tiki torches, and lots of tables, but nowhere near enough shade for my tastes. Especially, when they've gone to such lengths to prepare this bar. read more

Hugman's has such an awesome aesthetic! If you're looking for something funky this is your spot. However, our group of 5 showed up and we're never served in our 45 min span. I ended up having to go inside and order drinks from the bar myself for service since only 3 folks were working the entire place. Obviously poorly managed for a Saturday night. The drinks looked better than they tasted and cost. read more

Tiki bar located on the Riverwalk with an outside patio. The inside is small with a decent sized bar. The inside comes complete with all the kitschy accompanying skulls and statues you see in places like this. It does offer a break from the chain restaurants that dominate the Riverwalk. The drinks were good served in creative glassware. The bartenders were friendly. It did take awhile for us to get drinks. They do spend sometime adding all the fruit and leaves to spruce up these drinks. Overall a nice respite from the usual places along the Riverwalk. read more

Boy I tell you I don't even know what this place is supposed to be but I didn't like it one bit. The wife said let's do a riverwalk night so we walked by this place after dinner and I still can't get the dang place figured out. They said tiki bar so I thought ok theres going to be ladies in those hula skirts and probably surfer stuff on the walls but we got there and it was more like a dragon cave or something with skulls all everywhere and it was dark. I thought ok we are already here lets get a strawberry pina colada I guess but daggumit the bar keeps in the matching hawaii shirts didn't see us for so long we just as well decided to keep moving. Loved the environment and vibe!! Bridget the Hostess was Ah-maxing!!! The bar inside is vwry tiki inspired however the a/c is lack there of. Needs to be fixed ASAP. Texas heat is too hot not to be working. So you don't want to hang inside cause it's stuffy. The did a good job flowing the island / tiki vibe outside. Will be back when weather is nicer and cooler so we can survive the heat. read more

We were the first people there, so we got to sit at the bar and watch our drinks being made. They have about 15 or so different specialty tiki drinks. Each one comes in a particular piece of glassware. I don't know how the bartender keeps them straight. He was constantly pouring different things into a shaker. Then he would shake it and pour it into the glass that was already filled with crushed ice. One of the drinks even had a smoking cinnamon stick. My drink was really good. It was the Three Dots and a Dash. It came in a barrel and was decorated with a skull toothpick that had three cherries and a piece of pineapple to represent the dots and dash. It was super strong! I was ready to risk it all and go for another drink, but it had gotten packed inside the bar. We could tell the bartender was stressing. They really need two for times like that. My wife spends the night at my son's house in New Braunfels every Thursday to give them a date night. Evidently, this is where they always go. I can certainly see why!

If you are scared of choking on small bones, these will not give you that kind of worry at all. We were impressed on how well-made and easily eaten they were. Our waiter was very friendly and he checked on us a few times. He was also the one that suggested the fried quail legs. We walked here .

The first night I was greeted by a friendly host and sat at the bar, where Billy took great care of me. He recommended the Cotto e Salsiccia, and I'm so glad he did. It was easily one of the best pizzas I've had. While I was there, the cheesemaker let me try a bite of the fresh mozzarella they were making in-house. It was still warm and absolutely delicious. The next night I was feeling a little homesick after being away for work, and all I could think about was that pizza. I walked back in and the host greeted me by name. I sat at the bar again, where another bartender remembered me from the night before, and Billy came over just to say hi. It seems like such a small thing, but when you're traveling alone, being welcomed back like that can completely change your evening. What really impressed me was seeing that it wasn't just me. The guy next to me ordered two pizzas to go, and when the chef brought them out he smiled and said, "Oh, Jose! I thought this order looked familiar!" You can tell they actually know their regulars and genuinely enjoy what they do. The second night I ordered the Fontina e Salsiccia, and somehow it was just as good as the first pizza. Everything is cooked in the wood-fired oven--even the wings--and you can taste the difference. The crust has that perfect char, the ingredients are fresh, and it's the kind of authentic Neapolitan pizza that keeps you thinking about it long after you've left. Nothing... several times we suggested something be done and not until the manager realized that yes, this is a problem did he do something remotely responsible. I couldn't enjoy the food! The atmosphere is fantastic, with decor that fully embraces the tiki vibe, making for a fun and immersive experience. I tried the Daily Daiquiri, which was a ginger variation. It was delicious, though I personally would have loved an even stronger ginger kick (I'm a big fan of anything super gingery). I also had the Mai Tai, which was equally fantastic. My husband ordered the Martinique Fashioned, and it was absolutely incredible. The flavors were on point, and the presentation was stunning--definitely a standout drink! The only food item we had at the bar was the Spam Musubi, and it did not disappoint. It was a tasty bite before we headed upstairs to Tokyo Cowboy, their sister restaurant, where we had an amazing dinner. A special shoutout to our bartender, Miles.
