In middle of august , Saturday evening and it was super quiet. We were able to get a table without any wait. Ordered appetizers and drinks right away . - volcano chicken bites (hot) recommend if you like spicy food. For the main dish we had steak and cheese sub + crab and shrimp stackable salad. Both dishes were 4 stars. Fresh and well cooked. It did miss a kick that would put it on (5stars). 6 feet apart tables are implemented even though no one is wearing a mask ... it is florida ! Place is highly rated on Yelp and Google, but maybe I just came on an off night. We sat fairly quickly, and our server came and greeted us almost immediately. My wife asked a question about getting Tacos by the each and the server said we could only do that on Tuesdays, but we should be glad we didn't come on a Tuesday because it was taking almost an hour for food... that should have been a warning, but the place was in walking distance from my airbnb, so we stayed. Our drinks came out fairly quickly, but the food took quite a while to come out. I had the hawaiin pork plate, and my wife and son had some fish tacos. My family was excited for the tacos, but sadly, they were let down, neither finished their plate. I actually enjoyed the Hawaiin pork plate. The meat was juicy and fresh, with a hint of being left in a fridge a little too long. The restaurant was clean, and the servers and other guests appeared happy, but overall, for the price and quality, I wouldn't be back. We were looking for a place for lunch & stumbled upon Hula Moon. What a great decision; staff was friendly & the food was amazingly delicious and at just the right prices! My husband and I ordered off the lunch specials menu. I had the steak & cheese sub & it was the best I've ever had! (Large portion, bakery fresh bread, delicious steak, cheese, & peppers, I ate the whole thing!). My husband had the crab cakes, which he loved, and he ordered the onion rings as a side for a small upcharge. This was another great choice; the onion rings were huge & really yummy! We were riding a motorcycle; so we didn't opt for alcoholic beverages, but we noticed that they have a full liquor bar & featured "lava flows," one of our favorite drinks from Hawaii! I don't know when we'll be back this way, but if we are in the neighborhood, we'll definitely visit Hula Moon again! read more

We need to revise our previous review. The owner of Hulla Moon George Stevenson contacted us after our one star review and was very concerned with our disappointment with our experience. He was very cordial and explained that he appreciated our feedback and that he wanted make things right,After obtaining our address he sent two gift certificates (we had a 4 person order) so we could enjoy dinner on the house. We just returned from an excellent meal and service from our server Jenna. It looks like the bad experience was an anomaly. We consider Hulla Moon to be one of our favorite restaurants and are so very happy that George Stevenson took the time and effort in getting us back there again. Everyone in our party agreed that the food and service we received tonight deserved a 5 star review. And no, they did not know we were given the gift certificates until we paid the bill. I was visiting the Satellite Beach area for the first time & stopped into Hula Moon. I tried Poké for the first time & despite being hesitant to try out raw fish... it was INCREDIBLE. It was delicious & so healthy. I ended up eating Poké several times throughout my week vacation & Hula Moon was by far my favorite! I wish I could remember her name but my waitress was tatted up with dreads... she was so pleasant to be around & made my experience even better! I ordered the fish dip to try something new & I didn't like it much... she suggested putting Sriracha on it & it was way better! Definitely try this place out if you're visiting! Wish I would have taken pictures of our dinner. Cabo Cobia over a shrimp corn cake with bean salsa and a spicy avocado sauce. My wife had blackened fresh caught dolphin with a coconut rice. Perfectly cooked and the real deal. I've been fed talapia which was supposed to be grilled Grouper that was less than 1/2 inch thick at some other unnamed restaurants on A1A what a lot of BUNK!!!! Our server Tina G was prompt pleasant, described the dishes perfectly and was just attentive enough without bothering. My wife had a wildly funky margarita. A Dr. Fu Will definitely be back as they also have large screen TV's and an outdoor patio. After dinner we walked across the street and walked along the beach. We enjoyed our dinner Sunday night at Hula Moon. We tried the lava flow cocktail with fresh strawberries and pina colada mix & served with fresh whip cream - a bit sweet but very good. For appetizers we had the fried calamari which was served with a sweet Thai chili sauce and also the volcano chicken bites (mild) served with a ranch style dipping sauce. Both were served promptly and were fresh, hot and flavorful. For dinner we sampled the chicken tacos and the tuna poke tacos served with rice & beans. The portions were huge and we took half of it home for leftovers. We recommend adding avocado to the poke tuna taco - perfect! We also tried the Wong Fu Shrimp with Hawaiian rice (delicious!) And a side of plantains and the orange sesame chicken (which tasted more like pineapple but was very good). We would definitely go back again! read more

Waited for​ some while as a hostess had to go set up a table for a bigger party....and apparently,​ they thought we were all together....how about asking next time.....once we got seated our waitress was energetic and had opinions on items on the menu. I ordered the poke bowl.....not your Sack and Save poke in Aiea but a respectable version of some poke. We also had the grilled mahi-mahi​ and it was pretty darn good. This place has the potential to be really good and the potential to be really bad. We got it on an upswing​. Go early as it does get crowded. Found the little gem taking a drive down the coast. Great space with plenty of bar seating as well as high top, low top, and booth tables. I was greeted immediately when I entered and seated right away. I had a drink before I knew it. I ordered the Mahi Fish tacos with black beans and rice and it was delicious. Note: the fish is chefs choice so today it just happens to be mahi. You can also get it fried, grilled, or blackened. I chose the grilled. I was very surprised when the order came out, the portions were huge! Delicious, flaky fish, crisp slaw, perfect amount of cream sauce. The black beans and rice was equally delicious. I could finish all of it because I needed to actually go back to work and be productive but it's more than enough. The staff was very attentive and professional. Excellent service! read more

Stopped here for take out on our way to the beach. The atmosphere and bartender which helped us were very welcoming. I ordered the shrimp and lobster stuffed flounder which was amazing. They discriminated against us and didn't offer us a booth (EVEN though there were 3 available!) for my girlfriend who is currently disabled and can't sit on high seats. We had driven 40 minutes and were treated like second class citizens. We're are going to sue them for discrimination. Highly unfortunate that this business treated people who have always supported local restaurants like this. read more

I ordered the ahi poke bowl and the marinade they used for the "tuna" was so salty every few bites I had to drink a mouth full of water and most of the "tuna" where just marinade tomatoes which wasn't mentioned in the menu and I usually love poke bowls especially with mangos and I was really excited about seeing it on the menu. We we're all starving..We were sat fairly quickly, then sat for almost 10 minutes before asking the host if we had to go to the bar to get service, he sent someone over and the service got better.... We ended up sharing 2 appetizers the lettuce wraps which I thought were delicious and a dip with homemade chips, that was also very good. Drinks were very reasonably priced compared to many other venues in the area. We'll definitely be back, just hope the waitstaff pays attention to newly sat customers. read more

I had Bahamian Fritters and Luau Pork Plate. Their fritters doesn't have any flavor and the dipping sauce hasn't too. Luau pork plate smells like smoke, and the sauce taste like A1 sauce. Their Hawaiian fried rice is not tasty too and it just has pineapples then they called it Hawaiian Fried-rice... And our dessert was Fried Apple Pie, it was not pie, they use Rice paper to wrap Apple filings, so it is not much crunchy like the menu says. Hostesses and servers are nice but they need to work their food more. read more
