Small Pakistani salon in Huntington. So for people that want to get their eye-brows threaded, this is a great spot to get it done. They are a little bit more expensive than other salons, but in Huntington they are the best. I personally prefer Aaina in Hicksville if you can make trip, they are much better at what they do. I do come to Humara for my biannual haircut though, she's VERY reasonable, and very good at what she does. Humara is the only one who does hair in this salon so you do not need to specify. She charges $30 which is SUPER CHEAP. Try her once, and for the price is she unbeatable! That's $30 - for a wash, cut & blow dry. She does take credit cards, Visa & Mastercard, not AMEX. I love Humara's. Love. My mother goes there, my three cousins go there, and they refer her to anyone we can because she's so good. In my mother's words, "Humara exhausts herself being as detailed as possible to make sure your hair is absolutely perfect." One of my cousins and I both went recently and we were sharing stories. She told us both that she cut it in a way so no matter where we part out hair it's gonna look good. I was definitely very impressed with that, along with the fact that she is the only one who does cutting in the whole salon.. She did hike the price up a little from $30 to $35 for a wash+cut+blow dry, but she does a damn good job so I don't even care. Plus, it's almost impossible to get a quality haircut for cheap nowadays so I don't mind. My sister just got her hair cut her today and for the majority of the time I was sitting in the chair next to her looking through her makeup drawers (i'm a fanatic and she let me!). When we were leaving she asked me why I didn't practice with all of her expensive makeup while I was waiting! She is SO friendly! read more

I think it was a big mistake of trying this place for facial. Not only the owner is rude but she cheats and lies. She did the whole facial in such a rush that I could barely relax, looked to me as if she had something more important going on outside and with her phone. It was such a shortcut facial and not worth a penny. She does messy facials, so if you are ready to take a shower right after facial and don't mind paying full price when half the time you will be wondering where she is gone. I usually don't give negative reviews openly, when I tried to explain it to her, she started rebelling. How about that ! I get regular facials and am new in the area, so thought to give a try to something new. I have seen some really hard working women who do the best facials and last thing they want are dissatisfied customers. This Humara beauty lady needs to be trained not only how to do facial but also how to talk. She kept asking me to raise my chin for facial but never thought to make her bed lower or remove the pillow or move a little bit so I can rest my face. My neck hurts after getting this facial. Family business. Super polite and sweet people. They are also very Courteous, they usually ask whether I would like tea or water when I come in. The interior has a set theme and everything matches . Looks perfect and the prices are the most affordable in the area for great professional service. They know their stuff. I've gone here for hair dye and keratin. And I ALWAYS go here to do my eyebrows every two weeks because it is the only place that will not pluck all my eyebrows out nor take away my arch. I used to go to Femina and Ruby's Hair Salon which are both on Jericho, but both ruined my eyebrows every time and NONE of their employees are Professional. I switched to Humara's around 2 years now for all my hair cuts and coloring. It's a family run business and you feel a sense of home when you're here. Humara always does a great job and listens to what I want and also gives great feedback and tips on how to better take care of my hair. I've suggested her to to friends/family and everyone who's come has left happy! Najma is the only person who I trust with my eyebrows! She is hands down amazing, no exaggeration. I have a scar on my eyebrow and she knows how to properly do my eyebrows so the scar doesn't pop out and she keeps the natural shape of my brows that I like. Humera did my and my daughters makeup she did a great job. That was my first time but not only I loved her makeup also the service was great. They make you feel comfortable ask for coffee and tea. Any other Pakistani salon all they want is your money and you are out of the door. I liked her service and work soo much that I will go to her for facial. Booked an appointment to cut my hair and do my eyebrows and when I got there the owner didn't wanna cut my hair because she was tired. She wasted my time that was only my day off. Beyond horrible! The rudest service I have had the displeasure of dealing with. The lady I was speaking to on the phone regarding an appointment booking kept speaking over me when I was trying to ask if the salon accommodates Muslim women who wear headscarves and then when I called her out on being rude, SHE HUNG UP ON ME! The saddest part is I heard that Humara (the owner of the salon) directing her on how to respond to me aka the owner herself asked that she hang up on me so it's not simply a fluke regarding her employees. This is the owner's mannerisms as well. If they don't have the proper manners to deal with other human beings, in my opinion, they don't deserve any service. read more
