I went in because my sister told me about them and they offer truly reasonable prices for electrolysis. They were so nice and professional on the phone so I booked a free consultation. I was running a bit late and they were very accommodating -- did not make me feel guilty (I already did that to myself). I was checked in by a very nice woman, completed the required paperwork, which I appreciated because it is professional to do this with services like laser and electrolysis, and proceeded to meet with the practitioner Linda. I just loved her! Really knowledgeable, personable, and experienced. I am someone who likes to understand everything and she is definitely an educator. She explained every step of what she would be doing, we decided on laser for my upper lip and electrolysis for my chin, which is exactly what I expected, and it went seamlessly. She talked me through the whole process and it was over quickly and painlessly I might add. I'm excited that I am finally taking care of these issues that bug me and that I am comfortable and confident in the service I am receiving. I highly recommend trying them. The woman who answered the phone confirmed with the owner the time and day and gave me an appointment for a haircut. I got there on time and I was told they couldn't take me. I left work earlier, rushed to them to get my haircut and they just say " no sorry we made a mistake booking you at this time we cannot take you" . Please, please, do not go there, they are very unprofessional, rude careless to new customers. This is not the first time I had a bad experience with her but I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt because last year I made an appointment for eyebrows, the receptionist gave me day and time, when I arrived I was told I had to wait 20 minutes or more because she had to take someone else. I can't believe I went back again and they put me through the same experience. My hair definitely needed some...okay, a lot, of love after being on lockdown for 3 months! My regular salon that I go to was all booked through July. I came across this salon as it is by my job, and they popped-up on Facebook! I'm very happy that it did, and I think I might have found a new go-to salon. Going to a salon during this current time is very different. They are taking full precautions here to ensure the safety of not only themselves, but their guests as well. My temperature was taken upon arrive. I was even given a disposable mask so that hair-dye didn't get my cloth mask. Chairs were sanitized between guests as was all areas of the salon. Even when I was getting my hair cut, after my stylist was done with a "tool" it went into the "used tool" basket to be further sanitized. I am very impressed with all the precautions they are taking here. I felt very safe getting my hair done. Ruba did my color, wash, cut, and blowout. I am very happy with her work and work ethic. She asked me each time what I wanted and ensured I was happy and got what I wanted. This happened from start to finish. From when I first sat in the chair to get colored, I told her I wanted a dark brown. Instead of just getting a "dark brown" she showed me a color pallet of dark browns. When I was getting the wash water did go down my back...Ruba apologized (it wasn't her fault), and dried me right up! My haircut came out wonderful. Ruba continued doing an excellent job. I am very happy and satisfied with how my hair looks. Even more happy with the price! For everything; full hair color, wash, cut, and blow-out, it was only $105. The quality is excellent! This review is solely for eye brow threading. I believe there's only one person that threads over here so I will not mention any names. It is NOT ok to be over confident and not listen to what the client wants. I've got my eye brows threaded by this person 2 times. The first time I was trying to explain to her what I want as I've been growing out my eye brows for 2.5 months at that point. Extremely over confidently she goes 'ya ya ya I know what you want' and starts threading away. Takes her time with my right one and makes it nice. Left one- I don't know what happened to her she was in an extreme hurry and thins it out.... I figured ok, she's local. Let me give her another shot. So I arrive at my appointment and I'm like 'hey I don't know if you remember me but this is how I want my eye brows....' I didn't even get to finish explaining myself and she's like 'ya ya ya I know I know'. NO, you don't know because you thinned out my eye brows and did NOT give me what I want. So here's some advice for you: LISTEN to your clients. Let them explain themselves. Don't be OVER CONFIDENT. Response to Ruba: The left brow was not thinner than the right. She made it thinner. And on my second session, she made the right thinner. You can't tell me she did what I told her because she didn't let me talk. Once I grow my eye brows out again, I may stop by. read more

I can't even begin to tell what a nightmare I went through with this place. I initially found this salon on Groupon and the ratings looked reasonable so did the prices. I called to make an appointment and the owner adviced me not to buy the Groupon and that she would honor the same price if I walked in. When I went in she made me sign bunch of paperwork, later I found out she even over charged me for the glaze, so she didn't keep her original promise to honor the Groupon deal. She made me sit with Nicole, it was literally before noon time and she smelled like vodka. I asked for a very small caramel color change around my face frame and mentioned to her how dry, thin and brittle my hair was just so she would go easy on it. I couldn't tell what she was doing at the back of my head but this lady bleached all over my hair. I continued showing her the image just to make sure she was following my request and she reassured me that it was going to turn out as the image. At the end, she had bleached so much of my hair that I had no low lights in the front or the back of my hair. I also asked her to trim off the tips of my hair; she ended up cutting so much layers and cut so wide around my face frame that my tiny hair was thinner than ever before. When I went home I realized my hair was a bright yellow color so I ended up going back to get it fixed. Although I was confirmed for 11 am, the owner took me in at 1pm. Again, Nicole smelled like vodka, there was no one else there so I had no choice but to sit with her. I showed the picture of Jessica Biel faceframing ombre and told her that my hair was way too light compared to the caramel colors in the photo. She argued with me and insisted that Jessica Biel has blonde hair. Regardless, she ended up putting some lowlights at the back of my hair and when it came to blow drying my hair she asked the owner to take over. The owner was just as rude, even though the place was deserted she didnt want to deal with me so she literally ran her hands through my hair twice and told me that she was done. The excessive bleach made my brittle hair burn all around. Its been over 6 months now and I still havent been able to restore my hair anywhere near healthy. Dont get fooled by a few good comments, I recommend you staying away from amateur work. read more

BEWARE!!!! I purchased a Brazilian wax, and this was the WORST experience I have ever had!!! The beautician was literally scrapping wax from the bottom of the barrel, and when I pointed out that I was in pain because she was literally pulling at skin since she wasn't using enough wax, she became defensive and didn't even apologize. She also used the same cloth strip and tongue depressor multiple times, and when she switched to a new one, she would lay the old ones all around me!!! I have been waxed before, but this was my first time here. Will NEVER come back!!! EDIT - After reading the owner's comment, I only have one final thing to say. I wish I took a picture of the wax Farah used, so I could prove that there was barely a film left at the bottom of the canister, but Farah yelled at me for texting my mom while I was in the room because "phones are not allowed". You can take my experience for what it was, I'm merely stating the facts. I was a generous tipper because I believe in giving kindness to others even if you don't receive it yourself. I stand by my review and I should NEVER have to defend my own experience. This salon is DEPLORABLE, purchase their services at your own risk. Very disappointed. I recently had an appointment with Lizette,I have been coming to her for about two years of high quality hair highlights . I walked through the door and was told Lizette was sick and that Diane was going to do my hair. I wasn't happy that I wasn't asked but this owner Ruba only cares about Money so I'm not surprised. I was very disappointed after I went to pay and was charged 160.00 for a full highlight ,Ruba chocked it up to the amount of time it took. I'm really confused as to why there are multiple negative reviews because I've been here about a dozen times and have brought my wife here and they have been nothing but sweet and accommodating. I mostly go for waxing and threading which is the best job I've received for those services. I had to go to a quick threading salon today as most hair salons are not open on Monday and I needed my eyebrows done very badly especially with the corona virus shutting everything down and it was so disappointing. I've searched all over for someone trained in pigmentation and found Amy, the owner, to be outstanding at her craft! I always feel very comfortable every time I have ANY work done there. It was well worth the money I paid for the piece of mind and the beautiful results I've received! I've recently had a Keratin treatment at the salon and I gotta say it again; OUTSTANDING! If you're looking at a Groupon for this salon, don't buy it! There are so many other salons, I would recommend taking your chances with any one of those. I would not return for any service and would definitely NOT recommend this place to anyone! I will say, there was a lady there that did seem to be a happy regular of the salon but, for me, it was the absolute worst experience I've ever had at a salon. I just moved to the area and decided to try this place with a Groupon for a keratin treatment and a haircut. I tried calling earlier today to schedule an appointment but was told to call back in 10 minutes. I totally understood, figuring they were busy doing somebody's hair, I decided to just swing by about 15 minutes later on my way home. When I walked in, the place was empty except for a girl on the computer and phone (definitely a personal call). I told her I had purchased the Groupon, asked a few questions about the treatment and then asked about making an appointment. She said she could fit me in right away which was perfect. Next she warned me that an extra ounce of the keratin would be $26. I told her that the Groupon included 3 ounces and I did not need any more than that (I did my research and on the Inova Keratin product website it says no more than 3 is needed and more than 3 is not recommended - http://www.inovaprofessional.com/faq) Let me just say that again, I specifically told her not to use more than 3 ounces. So we began....and then she took every call for the salon, responded to or looked at every text, hung out with a friend, ate food, made several personal calls, burned my scalp with the hair dryer - not the steam, I know the steam can get hot, this was the way she held the dryer - I have never had anybody do that to my head before. Also, there were constant interruptions during this treatment and she would get distracted by everything, I couldn't even count how many times she walked away. The whole time I was worried she was going to burn me because she wasn't paying attention! Lesson learned: Make sure the salon has training for proper application and procedure! After all that she tells me that she is going to check me out and then somebody else will do the trim (I only wanted a trim rather than a full haircut included in the Groupon). Now we get up to pay and so I pull up the Groupon and she says "Okay, it was 2 extra ounces at $26 an ounce." WHAT!? Not only did I specifically tell her NOT to use any more than the 3 ounces but she never even said she was going to use more, never asked, never mentioned. I didn't even see her get any more so either she did it from the start (without my consent) or she didn't actually use more and was just trying to up-charge. I honestly hope they are just trying to up-charge without using extra product since it could be bad for my hair (per the FAQs on the website). At this point I was freaking livid. I just wanted to get out of there. I said I would not get the trim and that can cover the "extra" but that wasn't good enough, they said the haircut was only worth $12. We settled on me paying $14. I tipped her because I can't bring myself to not tip somebody but I REALLY didn't want to. I'll update as to the condition of my hair in a few days. read more

I went to this salon for the first time with a groupon and then I really loved how Lisette did my hair. I returned back once or twice after that and was so happy I finally found someone who does my hair perfectly! I called to make an appt. probably in august, and it was booked. I get there expected Lisette but I was with Lisa (who was very nice) but I was expecting Lisette. I wish I would have been told that she doesn't work there anymore over the phone instead of finding out through online sleuthing. Nothing against the salon but that really annoyed me. I came to the salon to have my hair styled and for a makeup application to be done for my engagement shoot. I was assisted by their staff member NICKI. I was taken right away and had my makeup applied first. I loved that she took her time and answered any questions that i had plus she took into consideration that I told her that I did not want the dark circles under my eyes to show at all and she make sure to take care of it. Plus she had so many products and she was very knowledgeable. I LOVED the makeup. After the makeup application, she styled my hair as well which came out fantastic. I opted for lot of volume and curls ;) . I will absolutely be going to her for any future visits plus she is a REDKIN trained colorist! On a side note...I am VERY fussy about salons and their cleanliness, so I was very pleased to see that not only was the salon very up to date and clean, but throughout the day I saw staff cleaning also! The staff seemed to have a good rapport with each other and all the other customers in the salon seemed to really be enjoying themselves also. Good cut and color BUT both times that I patronized them, there was a problem. I was suppose to see someone who specialized in curly hair. I was introduced to someone with a different name and yet nothing was said to me. It was me that had to ask to only find out that the hairdresser I booked with, didn't show up.That's just disrespect not to have been honest with me. So a different person cut my hair and it was ok, nothing special. I go back again and I am called because they are running late. I was pleased they called but I was already there. It ends up they took a walk in looking for a new style. I heard the entire conversation and realized what was going on. So here I am watching her with someone else during my booked time. Again that's not how you treat people. I left. Also, tips must be paid in cash. Take care of your people! There is a cost to doing business and that should allow putting tips on cards when a first time client comes in and doesn't have cash on them. So color was good, haircut ok, but this is not the kind of place I would patronize again. I had Keritan done there on June 15. It looked good for a few weeks. Then it was if I never had it done. I called and spoke to the owner, who said how could she believe me that I used the right shampoo on my hair. I said I have had many Keritans and they have always lasted at least 4 months. She was very rude when I called, saying I should have called back in a week and she would have re done it. It was fine after a week!!! They clearly don't stand behind their products. I have been coming to this salon for about a year now. My mom and I purchased a laser package on Groupon just to see how it was before committing. Upon entry we were warmly greeted by Ruba, the manager of the salon. She had great expertise in lasering, and made me feel comfortable with my facial hair (unlike other salons that judge you and laugh) Now a year later, I visit every month to get my laser done, and have even purchased a body package once summer is over. The salon is clean, the prices are great, and the staff if so friendly. PS: If you ever need an amazing and quick blowout, sit in Nicole's chair! For someone with long, thick and curly hair, she did my blowout in 30 minutes! And for $30, you can't go wrong!!! Love this salon, and love that it is local. I am in love with this salon. They have every service I need. I get my hair cut, hair dyed and Keratin, threading, facials, massage - you name it. They are always super nice and squeeze me in even when I walk in with no appointment. No one cuts my hair like they do. I have been to the owner and the other girls in the salon, all of them exceeded my expectations. I am ready to try the Laser Hair Removal and possibly the permanent makeup. Today I saw two ladies get the lip liner and eyebrow permanent tattoo and it looked amazing. I tried the eyebrow tinting today (not permanent but lasts a few wks) and I LOVE IT! So I'll start this off by saying that I posted this review to their facebook originally, and they proceeded to remove the option to leave reviews from their business page. So that's something... I honestly wish I had never gone here. There was no sort of consult whatsoever, all the girl did was ask to see a picture I had brought twice. The color and application is nothing like what the picture showed - I left with blush, and the picture was caramel, and the placement was nothing like the image. I didn't mind it, because I kinda like the blush trend going on now, so I didn't say anything about it. I originally went here because I saw on their website they had half off your first service (picture attached) - which should have been my first red flag. When I called to book the appointment (which took four phone calls to get an answer), I told her what I wanted, and that I had seen the offer other website, and she asked me if "you want a blowout too right?" which I assumed would have been included into the 'first service', my bad I guess. I thought I would end up leaving paying around $60 for the service, plus whatever tip, and I ended up paying $135. When I got the receipt emailed to me I called and asked to speak to the owner, and was told she would call me back in 15 minutes, and she called me back two hours later. We discussed what happened with the charges, because nothing on there was explained to me (which could have been avoided with a proper consult) and I really hadn't planned on spending that kind of money. I only received half off the balayage ($140 to 70), but the blowout was $30, plus another $10 to curl it which I didn't ask her to do (which in all fairness she did tell me she would refund to me, but really $10 out of $140 is ridiculous), and I was also charged $25 for the glaze, which is part of the color service, so it should have been included in the half off. Again, all of this could have been avoided with a proper consult. She told me she would call me back when she spoke to the stylist, and almost a week passed and she still hadn't called me. In that week, I blew out my hair myself, instead of having it all curled up and styled like I had it when I left, and it was a mess. One side of my hair is completely another color than the other side, it lifted very unevenly from roots to tip, and there were even checkered spots where the bleach never touched. I explained all of this to her today when I went in and she proceeded to carefully comb my hair out so that it looked perfect, without a part, which is completely unrealistic of how someones hair will look while its lying naturally. I told her I was really unhappy with the entire experience and wanted a refund. She refused, asking me instead to "give them another chance". You couldn't pay me to give them another chance. I now have to go spend money for someone else to attempt to fix the damage done without also damaging my hair, which was in perfect condition before this. I'm most upset because I did a lot of research, and their instagram looks amazing, but clearly that's only one or two peoples work there, because my hair looks nothing like the wonderful things they post on their page. Save yourselves the hassle and go somewhere else. read more
