There were many reasons I selected this studio: the great reviews of the studio on Groupon & Yelp and the information on their website which included notes on the procedure & before & after care, the services they offer & prices. (The disappointing thing was that the Brazilian Membership package that I wanted to participate in is being discontinued the first of March.) It was very easy to book my appointment and I only had a little difficulty finding the location. This was my first Sugaring Brazilian & Half Leg and I found it to be more comfortable than my previous waxing procedures! Sugaring at HUMBLE BEE, with HEATHER, is the best hair removal process I have ever received! Getting a Brazilian can be a very awkward experience. HEATHER is so sweet and friendly and will easily distract you from any awkwardness or embarrassment. She will make you smile and laugh, happily answer any questions you may have, and educate you about the sugaring process. I waxed for 3 years before discovering HUMBLE BEE on Yelp. I loved waxing because it lasted longer than shaving, reduced hair growth, and the hair that did grow back was very fine. Eventually, my reduced hair growth plateaued. One day on Yelp, I got a Hot and New notification for HUMBLE BEE. This was my first time learning about sugaring. To be honest, I was leery and wondered what the catch was. If sugaring was so great then why had I never heard of it, and why do most salons here not offer it. After researching and constantly debating whether to try it or not, I decided to go. Best decision I made! After ONE time of sugaring, my hair growth DRASTICALLY reduced even further and grew back finer compared to waxing (3 years)! Unlike wax that is hot, sugar is warm/room temperature. This alone makes the process much more comfortable. The sugar is applied against the hair growth. Depending on how course your hair is there can be a tug like feeling, which is different from your traditional wax experience. There are no strips and the sugar is removed in the same direction as hair growth, which helps reduce breakage (equaling better results). Some people may like sugaring since it is organic. I like it simply because the results are SO MUCH better than soft or hard wax! Plus, my skin isn't red or irritated afterwards. To this day, I do not understand why any salon would use soft or hard wax over sugar. Maybe it takes more time to train on sugaring, so waxing is the easy way out? I honestly do not know or understand. The price for sugaring is no more than waxing. Plus, HUMBLE BEE offers memberships, which reduces the cost, and provides 10% off all other services and products. Because of this, their prices beat competition. I have been a client since 2018, and it is unfortunate that if it were not for Yelp I never would have known about HUMBLE BEE since they are located inside the Sola Salon. However, this also shows how successful they are by word of mouth since they have multiple locations, all located in Sola Salons. On a final note, I love that you can view their schedule availability on the Vagaro app and book appointments. It is so easy to use and personally, I find it so much easier to view their availability myself instead of having to call and ask someone to look for me. I went to humble bee about a week ago for my first ever Brazilian! I had heard nothing but great things about sugaring, so I decided to give it a try. I was a little nervous and didn't know what to expect at first, but let me tell you....it. Is. EVERYTHING! Does it hurt? Yes. But not nearly as bad as I had expected- I was thankfully being distracted with mild conversation, which was great. It's been about a week and still no hair growing back. Her technique is consistently detailed and thorough and she minimizes my pain (which is a huge factor for me)! Ahhhh my new found place! I was able to make an appointment and walk in the same day. Sabrina was super nice and chill that I felt very comfortable getting my stuff waxed here. They use natural wax like honey for sugaring. I've never tried sugaring until now. So in love! The price was affordable too compared to California. The place is located at sola salons. So don't get lost like I did looking for the name. Save your time and just go into Sola. Definitely would come back!!!! Hopefully to see a freestanding place one of these days. read more

My husband booked me a appointment with Heather once I thought she was a nice person, I am a nurse who work 14 hour shifts so I missed my appointment on 12/4 due to I had to work overtime and my hair was still not back. When o called to make another appointment she was very fuckin rude and remind her I gave her a $25.00 tip. I will never refer anyone to you Heather very rude person and you go loose a lot of clients. Alexis was amazing! I recently got sugared for the first time in 3 different areas to get a feel for it (maybe my pain tolerance is high, but I had no problem). She made it a point to really personalize my experience and make me feel comfortable in studio with smooth conversation during the service (tbh I'd be her friend outside of this lol!), and overall I do prefer sugaring over other methods of hair removal for myself. Hate how often I need to shave, I'm prone to ingrown hairs in certain areas even from waxing, and although sugaring is just a little more time consuming, I feel that it's worth it! Alexis went as far as offering home remedies and tips as well as ways to create my own sugaring mixture (will definitely be returning to have her do it for me though!) read more

Alexis was super nice, friendly, and professional. I was in and out in about 40 minutes for a Brazilian. It was my first time sugaring and not waxing. As we progressed, it got increasingly painful to the point where I told her we just needed to be finished, 'don't aim for perfection here.' When we first started, it wasn't as painful as waxing, but it soon became more painful, like a lot worse. Now, I'm very sticky and my underwear is still irritating me, I'm sore, swollen nearly 10 hours later, which has never happened with waxing. This is unfortunate, the pain, residual prickliness, and stickiness, as I wanted to love this. Most online reports say sugaring is easier, more gentle, less pain, etc. That is not my experience at all. I guess try it and see what happens for you? The owner did get in touch and offered a gift card for next time, if I were interested (unfortunately not), which was a nice gesture. read more
