Came here because we could not get into Meduim Rare which had lines out the door and was all booked up...Came her on Saturday night and place was empty, not a good aing. Got the appetizer platter, for almost $40 they could not give another Jerusalem bagel...for mains ordered the schnizel and chicken shawarna (it was not real shwarma just sautted chicken. Overall the food is pretty bland and overpriced (yea i know its kosher for still...Gsve it 3 starts just for the nice atmosphere, ok service and comfy chairs

This was our most pleasantly surprising meal of the entire trip. We were trying to dine next door but were ignored by our server so we left and opted for this place bc we were hungry and short on time. Turns out, it was probably the best meal we had on our trip! The service was prompt and friendly and our food came out fresh and quick. We tried the mushroom hummus which was delicious (if you call yourself hummus kitchen, you better have good hummus!!). We also tried the flat bread and the pita and all their sauces are so good. Their house green sauce I literally want to order and have shipped to my door. Highly recommend!

Food was excellent. We ate the hummus before we thought to take a picture. Red chicken and chicken kebabs were excellent. Very good service and food came out quickly. Cute, intimate place for a reasonably priced meal. With a glass of wine and lemonada for an average of $40 each.

Delicious lunch yesterday at Hummus Kitchen Murray Hill! My sister and I each ordered a sandwich: schnitzel and sabich and we shared; they were both delicious. The fries accompanying the sandwiches were great! Service was very nice. Nice ambiance.

it was mid :( the food: i got the eggplant appetizer which is fried eggplant with babaganoush, and the chicken shawarma entree. everything tastes okay it's just the portion size is soooo small for the price. the entree is nearly $30 and i was so hungry after lol. the space: not huge but decently sized the service: they're nice!

Decent food! Ambient setting and a good sit out area. I didn't realize they didn't make anything using dairy. The sauces could be a little better.

While visiting NYC, we stopped here for dinner. We sat out outside in their covered area which was nice. Our server was very friendly and answered questions we had about the menu. We ended up ordering the small hummus to start and I got the espresso martini. Both for fantastic! While waiting for our food, the server came around with shots of arak which tasted like Sambuca. For dinner, I got the braised chicken couscous. This was delicious! I was told to mix it up and try different things together, but I ended up just mixing it all together and I thought it was great! Overall, this was a good experience and not too pricey.

Food was decent but the service was appalling (from one of the waiters). When something that should be in the brunch item wasn't there and I asked about it, I was told it's not supposed to be there. Then I had to go look for the menu to confirm that indeed it should be included. Then the server made some excuse, and made no attempt to do anything. I had to ask if I could get that replaced. He walked away, and when he came back, he dumped it on the table and walked away. The rudeness shocked us!

    Empty plates very good

Great service. Water was tasty. Had pillows at the chairs so was very relaxing. We ate all the food and service was very nice. Thanks

I had a great time here, mostly due to the great service here and luck :) We wanted some mediterranean food and this place was close by! The vibe is super cozy and warm, and they welcomed us immediately! We ordered: - 3 Maze choices: Hummus, Baba Ganoush, Tiberian cured beef: They kept giving us more pita, and an accidental extra hummus!! So nice. The tiberian beef is very sour (which I love) but the baba ganoush tasted a bit weird and oddly sour/fizzy. - Chicken Shawarma Platter with Israeli Salad: I wish there was a bigger portion of meat, but the Israeli salad was great. - Cauliflower Salad: If you like tahini, great dish for you! - There was this free bread that was also amazing, that came with 2 really good dips. They also gave us some free shots of liquor that was licorice flavored.

The pita bread is absolutely delicious, feels like you're eating a pillow. Great and kind service and the AC is nice and chilly. I highly recommend this place for Mediterranean food lovers!

Hit the spot for my Israeli food fix, was it the best Israeli food in the city no, but for a cozy, less expensive option I would recommend. They also gave lots of freebies, they offered us shots multiple times and refilled our complimentary pickles when they saw how quickly we devoured them! Great neighborhood spot!

The Moroccan bread was excellent; portion size for the branzino was somewhat small though the stew was great. Service was efficient and pleasant.

The place wasn't busy during lunch time but busy during dinner time. Amazing service and delicious food! The food was fresh and came out fast. Lunch specials are $21.95 for 2 courses while dinner specials are $36.95 for 4 courses. I had the Eggplant with Tomato Sauce and Beets as the first course and Lamb Adana Kebab as Entrée. Lamb Adana Kebab comes with salad, which I can't have since it's cold and raw, but they were able to accommodate me and replaced salad with more rice. I had Kabak Tatlısı, which has a nice sweet taste and is healthy. All were delicious, also gluten free, dairy free and soy free. Plus, the Turkish Tea as the fourth course was a great pair with my meals. Their menu offers a variety of choices, including options that are gluten free, dairy free, and soy free. I would definitely come back and suggest you give this place a try if you are in Hell's Kitchen or Columbus Circle.

I first went to Hummus Kitchen at their UES location, but this one is equally wonderful. The space is on the smaller side (a bit narrow) and they have indoor seating for around 20-25 people. I recommend making a reservation in advance. The servers are friendly, attentive and the food comes out fairly quickly. As the name implies, the hummus here is excellent as is the thick pita it comes with (they have regular and whole wheat). If you haven't been before, get "the hummus kitchen" as it has 4 different types of hummus you can try. The mazze are also tasty, my favorite would have to be the grape leaves, but the falafel, cauliflower and babaghanoush are also extremely delicious (you can order any 3 for $28 and it comes with pita). For entrees, I highly highly recommend the chicken shawarma tacos (2 per serving) followed by the open arais tacos (also 2 per serving) and the Mediterranean red chicken (in that order). If you don't go with the shawarma tacos or want less bread, then the shawarma platter is also a good choice. The chicken shawarma tacos here are simply incredible, they serve them in their warm fluffy pita, sliced in half, open and fill the inside with chicken, onions and whatever else makes is so ridiculously addictive. This thing is bursting with flavor, it has to be the best chicken shawarma I have had in NYC. The tacos also come with a small side of hummus and babaghanoush along with pickles and some tomato salad. The portions are what you would expect as are the prices. Really a delicious spot if you are in the area or want a great/quick meal before or after a show.

Also got the steak shish kabob -- very juicy, but kind of hard to eat once it cools down. Also got the lamb skewer -- this is where I started to feel the gluten kick in, so I wasn't feeling 100%, but it was so yummy still! Probably my second fave dish here besides the frena. Lastly, ordered the Tahini soft serve -- the ice cream and sorbet mix was very interesting, but then it ended up working very well together! It wasn't the most pleasant thing to eat though cuz it had like kettle/nuts that get stuck in your teeth unfortunately. Highly recommend this place! Glad we got to try it!

The service here was very friendly and welcoming! Our server in particular was awesome especially given how busy this place was even on a Tuesday night. The vibe here is fun with great music, everyone including the employees seemed to be in a good mood. We ordered a variety of plates to share and started out with the labneh dip and bread. I really like labneh and the strawberries and sumac gave this a sweet and tangy flavor. We also ordered the roasted beet, chicken, fish in a cage and jeweled basmati rice. The main flavors that permeated all of the food was garlic and salt. I'm a fan of garlic so I didn't mind but some of the dishes especially the caged fish were extremely salty. We were all a big fan of the Paesi turkey house wine, it paired well with the food. Surprisingly my favorite dish was the rice. The rice was so flavorful and fluffy, I probably could eat a whole pot on my own. All of the dishes were beautifully plated and visually appealing. We ended the meal with the soft serve ice cream. I was not blown away as much as my friend but the food was really good and the lively atmosphere made it a very fun dinner experience.

I consulted Yelp Assistant for vegan options in the area, and up popped Miriam with a plethora of Mediterranean small plates and I was sold. Since it was a chilly night, the cover was up and I'm sure it's more atmospheric (to match the cute interior) in more agreeable weather, but no matter here because once I tasted that hummus and warm, fresh pita, I really could've been sitting on a curb for all I cared. There's a lot of good hummus to be had in this world, and Miriam's ranks as one of the best I've had. Service was perfection and their wines by the glass are wonderful.
