TLDR: Take this one with a grain of salt. We came here Halloween night and let's just say things were spooky lol. I've passed this restaurant several times and I've never really seen it packed. Y'all I kid you not, I swear we were on a prank show because this evening felt unreal. We should've known something was up within the first few minutes we sat down. One of my friends had dead fly carcass on our table and they just brought a paper towel to clean it...All of a sudden, we hear a commotion in the corner. We were seated somewhat near the door, thankfully. But apparently, what had happened was they let someone come use the bathroom and they tried to rob the restaurant. We heard the fight break out and some hitting ensue. Lots of yelling and screaming. From there, the guy starts to try and leave and one of the staff legit says "my n**** you're not going anywhere" mind you, neither the said people were not Black...Eventually, the cops are called, maybe? The commotion settled down and I guess they just left. Food/Drinks: 2/5 The appetizer was a hot bread with two sauces - one green and one white. This was the best part of the night! We ordered a trio sampler of falafel, stuffed grape leaves, and That was $26. The food was pretty mid and the flavors weren't strong. I don't think it was worth the price. Maybe we just didn't order the right things... Service: 4.5/5 Ok everyone here was actually pretty nice. They greeted us nicely and showed us to our table. They brought us complimentary shots and explained what they were nicely as well as brought out an appetizer. After the fight, they came over and apologized profusely. Literally, no hard feelings to them. Things happen I get it. They also gave us two more rounds of bread on the house as well as shots which was really nice. Vibe: 1/5 This one is self-explanatory LOL. All jokes aside, the brick interior is cute and the outdoor seating has pretty lights and ambiance. read more

The great thing about this place after so Many years in the business is the Quality and Consistency! Excellent variety , if it's the shawarma plate or the hummus chickpea or their real Israeli salad and their fantastic spicy S'chug. You won't chose wrong . I used to love this place. The Israeli salad was my favorite. However my last order the tomatoes where a little fermented, assumed it was the lemon I was testing until I got sick a few hours later... Turkish coffee was a disaster. The waitress added a scoop of Turkish coffee grounds to a glass and poured hot water over it. I was in shock. I'm sad this place it's not what it used to be! read more

Came with a friend. Stopped by as Ruby's had a line. Was pleasantly surprised. Enjoyed the Israeli breakfast. Omelet was nothing special but was delicious with the tahini sauce, caramelizad onions, and smoked salmon. Portions could've been a little bugger for the price. The shakshuka was quite delicious and comparable to what I tried in Jerusalem. Was delicious with the bread. Our favorite part was the Turkish coffee as the flavor was very strong. Hummus kitchen was a solid experience. The meze platter is a nice start if you want to try a little of everything. We also tried the fried cauliflower and it was crunchy and had a nice dipping sauce on side. Interestingly enough, I found the Hummus to be bland. Needed salt. The Beef/kofta sandwich was decent. Visited on a weeknight and was seated immediately. Staff was incredibly helpful and quick. We ordered some hummus to share and some Moroccan Chicken Sandwiches (some as wraps and some in Pita). Solid spot for Mediterranean! Came here with a small group. Our waitress was incredibly attentive and asked us how we were doing over the course of our meal. We tried the mushroom hummus which was incredibly smooth. I had the chicken schwarmma. The actual meat was much juicier than other places of the same type that I've had. The sides were just ok. I did find it weird that two of us ordered the same dish but received two different preparations of the chicken (wrap vs. gyro) without us specifying or being asked what we wanted. Perhaps you need to sit in-restaurant to get the full experience at Hummus Kitchen, but I found the portions to be a bit small for the price. The team was very friendly and offered me water as I waited to pick up my food. The interior is very cozy. Flavors were authentic and tasty, but felt entrees were ~$5 too expensive, especially for takeout. I'd recommend trying to give customers a bit more protein! read more

Very lucky to have a place nearby work that has a delicious and healthy lunch option. For 10$ you can chose from a few different wraps. I chose the falafel and was happy with the quality and taste. You can get a side salad or fries. Rare to find lunch in the city for under 10$ so this place is a win. read more

I have been wanting to try this place on the corner of 31&3 ave for a while now! I'm happy I decided to stop by today for lunch with some friends! We started off with a few ciabatta sandwiches - the chicken sandwich was phenomenal, Moroccan spices and everything. The salads were very fresh and light which was just what we needed. The cauliflower is unmatched. This cauliflower melts in your mouth and is cooked to perfection. Cauliflower paired nicely with the white sauce and some parsley. Excellent food. The Schnitzel, gazpacho, and falafel were to die for. The chicken kebab was less exciting. The initial focaccia had a delicious Mayo dip and was a perfect starter. All of the sides were great, we especially liked the French fries. Only downside was that the falafel was only three pieces so we had to order two but the rest of the portions were very large. I was going to make fun of the uncreativeness of this place's name, but their namesake dish absolutely lives up to it, so I'll give them a pass. I ordered my hummus with the Moroccan chicken, which was supposed to be spicy and wasn't, but what it was was extremely tender, and a hearty portion too. And the hummus would have passed in Jerusalem, which sounds like a grudging compliment, but is actually high praise! Smooth and an oil percentage so high it's almost decadent. Is it weird that my favorite part of the meal was actually their starter focaccia with spicy green sauce? I thought the kibbeh and grape leaves were just OK, but the babagannouj was smoky and excellent. We got both knafeh and coconut custard with rosewater and pomegranate seeds. Knafeh isn't necessarily my thing, but it was tasty. If you get the custard, make sure you LOVE rosewater. read more

But, with so many solid steakhouse options in NYC, this is not a place I would go out of my way to return to.

I think he regretted offering me a lamb riblet because it was ridiculously tender and melted in my mouth. What is truly amazing is this is a meat restaurant, so the ice cream, risotto, gnocchi, and other dishes that we think of as dairy-based were non-dairy, and still completely amazing! It was definitely the fanciest kosher restaurant I have even been to in my life. The restaurant was so packed that we could not hear most of the speeches, which were given into a microphone attached to a small speaker near the bride's and groom's family's table. I do not fault the restaurant for its popularity though! The menu is really fun so I think it would be cool to return here for a special occasion. I ordered the special (the spicy rice, lamb and chicken combo, extra white sauce, 3 squirts of hot sauce, and a topped with fries). $13 in total. The lamb was absolutely flavorful and full of delicious spices. This reminded me of what I've had in Dubai. Very rich in flavor and just the perfect amount of spices. Overall, I think if you wait for your food to cool down like 20 minutes, you'll get to taste the flavors more. Everything hot together, for me, just didn't allow me to really absorb all the food. But the rice was your average rice. Pita was deliciously soft and pillowy which complemented the white sauce. Chicken was ok. had an OK texture; nothing life changing. lamb was fantastic, and fries were just fries (nothing memorable). For a NYC experience, a 1-time, 50 minute wait is acceptable. And, for $13, that's pretty cheap for the amount of food you get. I would eat it again if the line was 5 minutes. Otherwise, I'm positive you will find similar food/better food elsewhere.

The L'Industry is genuinely one of the best pizzas I've had, maybe the best. The burrata on top is fresh and creamy and takes it to another level. Fair warning: the crust is not the typical crunchy NY slice you might expect. It's softer, more of its own thing. I didn't mind it at all, the dough itself is really good, just go in without assumptions. Plan for a wait. The line is part of the deal here. Worth every minute.

Nonetheless, this slice was delicious. Hot, melty gooey cheese and lots of pepperoni overload. Crust is divine. I could just eat that by itself. Definitely a great bite whether on the go, drunk, or just because.

When I asked if they had a smaller box, they simply stacked the slices on a flimsy paper plate and placed them in a brown paper bag. I even asked if I could have one of the sturdier sandwich trays to better protect the pizza and keep the grease from soaking through while carrying it in my bag, but I was told those were "only for sandwiches." We also had leftover chicken parmesan and asked for an extra plate, but they refused, saying we already had one. The whole experience came across as unnecessarily stingy and lacked basic customer service. For a popular pizza shop where many customers take food to go, I'd expect better packaging for leftovers. A simple, sturdy to-go box would make a big difference and prevent greasy slices from getting crushed or leaking through the bag. Unfortunately, I wouldn't go back. The pizza was decent, but it wasn't worth dealing with the poor customer service. There are better pizza spots in the city, like L'Industrie Pizzeria, where I've had a much better overall experience.

Our wait was at least an hour and a half and were texted when our table was ready. They have indoor and outdoor seating with one bathroom for all to use. We got the viral pancakes and they were everything you'd dream they be and then some for sure very filling and buttery. I got a "pick me up" and it was perfect gave me a beautiful caffeine kick to start the day I recommend for sure. Weather you come for the viral moment this feels like a solid staple in the community with bright music playing everyone kind of everywhere and just a relaxed feel that you can't wait to enjoy after you get seated. I think the eggs are cooked with cheese, and as someone who typically does not eat cheese, I didn't mind it. I don't know if I'll be back again - I think the concept of an asian twist on the classic diner does sound intriguing but difficult to execute. I also wasn't a big fan of the wait time. If you typically like heavier, diner food then this spot might be the place for you!

They don't take online reservations for groups over 5, so we called to make one for our group of 6. It was pretty busy Friday night, so would recommend. The service was great; they drew the cutest card when they found out it was my brother's birthday and let us bring a cake. And they also offered hair ties to the people with long hair. You order through an iPad which has a beautiful menu.

It's one of the larger stalls in the market and has some seating, but not enough, and the market seating is very limited as well. I ordered the hibiscus lemonade and the very spicy Dan Dan Mian. I loved watching the staff prepare the noodles while waiting. My bowl was huge and absolutely delicious. It was very spicy as promised, but not too spicy that it was rendered not enjoyable. I looked at other orders and everything looked delicious, leading to only semi-regret of my choice. My lemonade was very good. I'm very much looking forward to returning.
