I had been wanting to try Miznon for ages and this was such a satisfying experience. It's inside the Hugh, a classy food court that looks to be popular with nearby office workers and finance bros. I was expecting a simple take out counter, but they actually have a swanky bar with a cool vibe. Sitting at the bar, you're served a lovely starter of fresh baked pita dippers with tahini and zaatar. The staff was friendly and fun. I had my sights on the overnight brisket candy pita, I had literally been craving it for years...and it was mindblowingly delicious! The brisket was melt in your mouth tender, with a smoky char finish, punctuated by tang from pickles and onion that cut through the richness of the meat. In love. Swoon. I also tried the run over potato. It was fun to watch the chefs make it from my perch at the bar. A luscious roasted Yukon gold potato was slathered with dill and sour cream and smashed in a press until it was flattened into a plane. The taste was unreal, so gooooood!

Miznon at The Hugh! Delicious! I highly recommend their lamb kebab pita and the ribeye minute steak pita. There's plenty of seating at The Hugh, but I got my order to go. By the time I got home, the food was still warm and intact. A must-try! By the way, The Hugh is beautiful.

I loved the Miznon outpost over at Dekalb Market Hall (RIP) so it was nice to see them at the Hugh again. Lots of seating available in front of the shop, as well as bar seating too. I ordered their classic Falafel Burger ($16) to go, which was wrapped neatly in some foil to help preserve its heat. The pita was fluffy and the falafel retained their crisp exterior well, despite being smothered in tahini and steamed up in its package on my way back to my office. My only complaint is that it is $16 for their most basic version of falafel pita-- I guess that's Midtown pricing for you. I also did end up waiting about 15 min for my order despite it being the tail end of the lunch rush.

Service was very good here. I really enjoyed the broken chicken in pita, it was very well seasoned and the chicken was tender. We also had the sweet potato side, which I thought was going to have some sort of sweet sauce or sweetness to it, but it ended up just being bitter from being too crisped.

Amazing Israeli food in a random place!! Me and my husband come to NY for his cancer treatments at MSK and one of our first times there we went across the street and found The Hugh which had a lot of different eateries in it and we were very excited when we saw Miznon!! My husband is from Israel and knew exactly what it was and who the chef was because of how popular he is in Israel and boy it did not disappoint!! The broken chicken pita makes me close my eyes and think I am back in Tel Aviv enjoying Israeli street food. One time I had to wait a little longer then usual and the woman behind the counter gave me pita and tahini to enjoy while I waited and because it was so good I was no longer hungry for my sandwich and ended up saving it for later. In a time where Israeli businesses are being targeted for violence, especially in NY, I am proud to support and Israeli owned business!! Am Yisrael Chai!!

Probably a 4.5/5. Not as good as the Miznon in Chelsea market, but still good, especially the folded cheeseburger. The folded cheeseburger is truly incredible. The crispy cheese is heavenly, crispy but also keeps the richness of the cheese, and well seasoned. The sauce was creamy hummus-like, the tomatoes and pickles added freshness and some tanginess, the pita had a nice chew. The first time I went, they had complementary pita dipped in their hummus. Second time I went, they didn't offer it unfortunately. The ribeye pita wasn't as flavorful as Miznon's in Chelsea market, and the pita was as buttered inside (which added a delightful depth).

I had the lamb kebab pita here, and it was good but weird. Each item in the pita (pickles, tomato chunk, onion chunk, meat) was good, but the pita pocket is not built cohesively - you get a bite of meat here, a bite of mushy tomato there - and it's a bit of a confusing experience. Putting a warm quarter of tomato in there also means that the pita gets soggy and juicy very quickly. The meat itself was great and seasoned well, it was just not the most fun experience to eat.

Went for lunch and feasted at Miznon. The guy at the register was friendly and welcoming. We had a pita with mushroom and scallion. So good. ( wild mushrooms) We had 2 orders of cauliflower in pita (lavan) One order of sweet potato (batata) One order of baby cauliflower that comes with super spicy green peppers One order of chicken in pita (rotisserie broken chicken) One order of tahini with pita All so delicious. Will definitely return

This is one of the many alright spots inside The Hugh. Very crowded every time I passed by it so it takes a while to get an order. The minute steak pita I loved from Miznon North was replaced by their 2.0 and I hope they go back. It lacked the droopy delicious tahini mix which I expected on the bottom of my pita but the steak was pretty good. They also didn't give a big green pepper like the other location but this is perhaps just a thing for their non-restaurant locations (as I do remember the same at Chelsea Market.) It is a better deal to get your meat at Berlin Doner. If the flavor were that better here, I would say it was reasonable but the other spot is so much more worth it for price that it kind of invalidates the steak pita from here. Low 3.

Food was great but feels very overpriced! I would not return because the price is too high for a single small pita. $16 for a small pita?

This is in a ritzy part of town on 60th St between Madison Ave & Park Ave with Ferraris & Bentleys parked on the street, so you have to guess that the storefront rent must be astronomical. But oh, these gastronomical sandwiches are off the charts and can justify the price. Once you decipher the names of the sandwiches on the menu and see what's between the bread, you will want to try all of them. I settled on 2 finalists, but decided get both anyway. All sandwiches are made fresh with some of the best looking meats & ingredients I've ever seen! And what's better is that they bake all the focaccia for the sandwiches fresh and in-house. You see the bread oven right behind the register. I wonder if I could buy a slab of that bread? The L'Inferno brought images of Danté Alighieri's version of the Underworld to mind, but was a spicy hot masterpiece of sandwich art. The combination of thinly sliced roasted porchetta, nduja, spicy grilled eggplant & arugula was fantastic! The fresh baked focaccia took it even further. But I did learn something new today besides Italian pronunciation, which was that nduja (silent n) is a spicy sausage from Calabrese that's spreadable like butter. I gotta get me some of that stuff! The La Paradiso sounds like the third installment of Danté's Divine Comedy trilogy, but is a very mild, but tasty sandwich with mortadella, stracciatella & crushed pistachios in pistachio cream. The pistachio cream is a stroke of culinary genius and gives the sandwich an amazingly smooth texture & taste. The only part of the Divine Comedy missing from their menu is La Purgatorio and I do not want to find out what would go into that sandwich!

Still, after seeing plate after plate come out to nearby tables, I decided to give it a try. What a surprise. It was a huge portion of fresh white meat chicken with a light coating and a perfectly balanced sauce, served piping hot. We couldn't finish it (knowing we had a big dinner later), but I kept going back for "just one more piece" more times than I'd like to admit. We all chose different sandwiches and they were ready pretty fast. Since the shop itself is not huge, we landed a small space at the window bar with two stools and some standing room.
