I've had Humphry Slocombe on my ice cream list to try for a while and finally made it while in Dogpatch for an art exhibit. My friend and I came here after dinner at Souvla nearby, and both of us got a berry kouign amann single scoop. My friend recounted a story of how she won several pints of this exclusive, seasonal flavor during the pandemic, so it was with a bit of fond nostalgia that we enjoyed this treat together. It was absolutely delicious, and I especially liked the infusion of the kouign amann pastry chunks from Starter Bakery. The extra chew really elevated this ice cream to the next level.
Not gonna lie, I'm here for the Tony Baloney collaboration. While supplies last!! We got here early to get their plush. TODAY only, any purchase gets a plush. We sampled Echo flavor: salted caramel turned blue with oreo Christmas story: vanilla and peppermint and something something christmas Christmas Bourbon pecan pie, this is what I got, good bourbon flavor and pecans Cherry elderflower was their non dairy which my friend got, tastes like a good cherry gelato Really great service, but super hard to find parking!
Finally got to try Humphrey Slocombe and it was such a nice sweet treat after lunch nearby on a warm summer day. I got a scoop of their matcha cookies and cream which was super creamy and pretty sweet for matcha but hey it's ice cream and meant to be indulgent. A scoop in a cup is $6.50 so it is on the pricer side but worth it for such delicious creamy goodness.
Located on a corner in the dog patch area! We shared a triple scoop and it was a good deal! We got the tahitian vanilla, tiramisu, and Echo (Mint Brownie Flavor). All flavors were tasty and unique! I am a big fan of mint flavor and The Echo flavor was perfect as it was minty and had some salt and brownie bits in in it!
I went here on a Saturday around 4pm and there was no wait! This icecream place allows you to sample their icecream before you decide what you want to order. They also sell icecream cartons in the freezer too! Anyways, we both chose to get our icecream in a cup since we didn't want it to get messy. I got the Chocolate Dipped Strawberry and my friend got the Push Pop flavor. Both of our icecreams were good and I liked how unique some of these icecream flavors were. I'd recommend this place! The icecream flavors I tried that day was good, but I wish they had a larger variety of icecream flavors to choose from per day.
Came here on a Sunday evening and there was plenty of seating available. I like the big table available in case you have a larger party. The explorers were so friendly and amicable, and trying flavors was a welcoming experience as they gave recommendations for their favorite flavors as well. I got their Chocolate Dipped Strawberry flavor, and it was delicious! The chocolate was in shavings so they really melted in the mouth. Definitely want to be back to try the other flavors!
I've always been a fan of Humphry Slocombe ice cream but this was probably my favorite visit because of the Tiramisu seasonal flavor. Definitely one of the best I've tried from this brand and I'm sad it's not a part of the staple menu. The little bits of Kahlua soaked cake and marscapone+chocolate+coffee was too good. My boyfriend also said that the Tahitian vanilla was the best vanilla he's ever had (and he's a vanilla ice cream lover!)
not sure if the server was giving attitude or if she was tired but i wanted to try the dairy free chocolate ice cream that looks like it ran out she went and grabbed one from the back but it is not thawed out! i specifically wanted that chocolate xxxl bc im lactose intolerant so id told her id wait since we are also waiting for the valkyries game traffic to die down lets see how long the wait is and if there is any consolation for waiting? ambiance, no one here!

Located not too far from the 22nd Caltrain station, parking is difficult to find. There's limited indoor seating. Noise level is quiet. Dirty float (4/5): the ice cream was creamy and smooth. The syrup was a bit much and could've used less pumps. Overall, a good mixture of smooth creamy sweetness but at a hefty price. Tap to pay is accepted. Overall, Humphrey's Slocombe is a good ice cream shop.
This latest Humphrey Slocombe location used to house another local ice cream shop, the now-closed Mr. & Mrs. Miscellaneous. Humphrey Slocombe, with its one-of-a-kind "gourmet ice cream for adults" (their words, not mine), has been a personal favorite since I first tried Secret Breakfast in 2008. The bourbon ice cream base & corn flake cookie pieces still has my heart after all these years. This past week, we came in for Chocolate Cherry Floats; made with Malted Milk Chocolate ice cream & cherry syrup & soda, deliciously hypnotic for fans of the flavor combo. We also took home an incredibly-flavorful Peanut Butter White Chocolate Ruffles Cookie. You can't go wrong with a brand whose mascot is a two-headed cow.
I stopped by Humphry Slocombe for a post-dinner scoop of ice cream, and fortunately, there was no line and all of the flavors were still available. I sampled a couple of flavors and decided to go with one of my favorite limited-edition flavors, Berry Kouign Amann (collab with Starter Bakery). The ice cream tasted as delicious as I remembered it from a couple of years ago, and I love the buttery, caramelized bits of pastry folded into the sweet-tart ice cream. Knowing that I'd be back multiple times over the summer, I started a punch card on my visit as well. My friend and I enjoyed our ice cream at one of the small tables in the shop, where I imagine it must be hard to find seating at during the daytime. read more

I went to a complimentary ice cream event at Humphry Slocombe's Dogpatch location featuring a collaboration with Sonoma Hills Farm to celebrate their "Pink Jesus" flavor, made with lavender ice cream, matcha cookies, and a white chocolate berry swirl. While I appreciate the opportunity to try something new, the flavor didn't quite wow me--it was still good overall. That said, I'm glad I went. It's always fun to sample unique, limited-time creations, even when they don't end up being personal favorites. I really enjoyed the customer service--staff were friendly and helpful--and the vibe of the shop. It's a very nice space to relax in. The Dogpatch neighborhood was also beautifully sunny during my visit, which made the experience even better. It was my first time visiting this Dogpatch location, and I was surprised by how much the neighborhood has changed. There used to be hardly anyone in this area decades ago, and now it's full of people--times have definitely changed. It's no longer the industrial area I remember, with lots of new storefronts, restaurants, and residential buildings. read more

Spacious location! You really can't go wrong with a nice scoop of Tahitian Vanilla. Simply delicious. Perfectly creamy and this is the most reliable option everytime I come here. Always hits the spot! Other popular flavors are the Matchadoodle and Cornflake Crunch! A double scoop is about $8-9, so pretty steep pricing... but the quality is definitely there. The girl who scooped my order was very generous and the scoop was significantly bigger than the cup! read more

So glad they opened a Humphry Slocombe closer to me! They're in a location that was formerly two other ice cream shops (Mr and Mrs Miscellaneous and Sunday Gather) so hopefully this one lasts! It's right next to the piers so you can take a walk along the water with your cone. And it's always sunny on the eastside! I usually go for my favorite Secret Breakfast or anything with Peanut Butter. My sister tried the Rose' which tasted too much like the wine. Make sure you try the flavors first! They can get funky. read more
So happy there's a location here at Dogpatch where it tends be the sunnier side of SF. Came here on a Friday and there was a decent amount of people but the line goes somewhat quickly. Staff is incredibly friendly and encourages you to try their flavors before you commit. I have my go-tos and their quality is always consistent! This was my first visit to this Humphrey location and I love the loud wall decor! The service was very friendly and prompt. I enjoyed a double scoop of Chocolate Dipped Strawberries & Wicked Matcha The strawberry was full of strawberry flavor and nice thin chips of chocolate and the Wicked Matcha, my favorite of the two flavors, was packed with deep matcha flavor and the soft Oreo cookie bites to break it up and bring some sweetness! read more
I visited this Humphry Slocombe location in San Francisco on a Sunday afternoon. There was a few people in line, but the wait wasn't bad at all. I had the opportunity to sample their flavors, some of which are fairly unique to Humphry Slocombe. Of all the flavors, I went with a single scoop of Peanut Butter Fudge Ripple. It was AMAZING. Although, i wish i tried the other flavors; secret breakfast was one of the popular options according to the staff members. Unfortunately, a single scoop here is simply one flavor. They don't do half scoops. Tables are clean and the store is well kept. I found parking one block away. Check this place out! read more
I am a huge fan of Humphry Slocombe ever since I tried them a LONG time ago. It's nice to see them open up more locations and their ice cream available now in grocery stores. However, nothing beats going into a store and getting to try different flavors and getting the one you want. Which for me was a ...giant sundae with Machadoodle (yum) and Death by Chocolate with extra fudge and whipped cream. Don't judge me ok...let me live people. read more

A new ice cream shop in Dogpatch. Humphry Slocombe has unique flavors including McEvoy Vinegar and Oil, Fireball Whiskey and Red Hots, Secret Breakfast, and others. You can taste before choosing your ice cream. My friend and I tried the Honey Graham and the Peanut Butter Fudge Ripple. The vanilla ice cream was creamy and sweet with delicious chunks of graham cracker and fudge. I thought it was a little pricey ($6.25 for one scoop) but worth the treat. There's plenty of seats to enjoy the ice cream inside the store and the staff was friendly. read more
Ordered one scoop of olive oil cake and was surprised by how well the cake texture, ice cream, and olive oil came through. While the olive oil is on the lighter side, I thought having actual pieces of cake blended in was a unique take. read more
