Fried Pork in Sweet & Sour Sauce (Tang Soo Yook)
    Eric K.

I've been dreaming about... their Yuni Jjajang (Noodle w/ spicy black bean sauce) & Pork Tang Soo Yook (Fried pork in Sweet & Sour sauce) since I had it last Sunday after like 5 years. They have always been known for their dishes and slightly more "upscale" vibe, lending it to be a favorite K-chinese restaurant for dining with guests. However, on this late lunch visit I was thoroughly impressed with their Yuni Jjajang (MAIN, 4/5) that had the perfectly cooked and chewy noodles with robust and well-balanced sauce w. a hint of chili kick. I'm usually not the Jjajang type (I usually order Jjamppong) but I barely even touched wife' jjamppong because I was busy stuffing my face with this. Their pork tangsooyook (ENTREE, 4/5) was crispy on the outside without being greasy, chewy & flavorful inside, and sauce hit the right balance of sweet & sour. I dipped each piece in the dipping sauce (IYKYK) and enjoyed every bite alongside my noodle dish. We had leftover jjamgppong and tangsooyook taken out and enjoyed it a day later and it was still awesome. (Do pack noodles separately) Really delicious. I must've been sleeping on this joint but now I've awoken to it again and will be back!

Haven't been here in a long time and thoroughly enjoyed my meal! Unlike some of the Korean-Chinese restaurants in Palisades Park, Te Min Quan offers Chinese dishes as well, so the menu is large and there's at least something for someone - whether it be chicken/beef/fish/pork dishes or noodles/rice and everything in between. The Beef Fried Rice was the stand out - the pieces of beef were juicy and flavorful and the portion was very generous - it was even more delicious paired with the Mapo Tofu. The Sweet & Sour Pork is a classic you can't beat.

It's sad that this is the best K-Chinese restaurant in NJ to have Jjajang-mein & Jjamppong. Their pan-fried dumplings are better.

Life is short. F.....it up! Family, Flavor, Friends Was passing through town and decided to try out this long-standing place in the neighborhood. This place is known for Jajangmyeon and Jjamppong. Reading the reviews they bashed the mandoo.. tried them and thought they are savory and cooked perfectly- plenty of stuffing and flavor. Just wanted to set the story right. Jajang had the good homestyle flavor plenty of onions and what is expected. The jam bong definitely had a spice kick noodles were good but missing the umami flavor. Got the seafood and rice - good portion - sauce needs more seasoning. Tang-soo-yook was good plenty of sauce for dipping. Dabooki- fried shrimp was massive tasted good maybe a lil too much batter.

I got two different kinds of black noodle (spicy and non-spicy). I liked the noodles more than the sweet sour fried pork. It's one of those with thinner outer layer and more meat, but I don't think it was as crispy as I would have liked. The service was good and the restaurant was very clean.

Best jjajangmyun in all of North Jersey area nyc included. This place has been running for over 20 years and their jjajangmyun still can't be beat. I love how they kept the sauce on the side so you can pour over the noodles yourself. They also offer scissors if you need to cut your noodles. Yooni jjajangmyun 5/5 best spicy jjajangmyun Fried rice 4/5 standard with egg soup - could use some sauce on the side This is the go to place for spicy jjajangmyun!

I paid $7.99 for 4 pieces of BIBIGO Pork Fried Dumplings. If you were sold out of your handmade dumplings, I wish I was told not to order them.

Good spot for Korean Chinese food. Right across the street from the pal park Po Po station. Street parking can be difficult. They serve alcohol. They do the fried black bean sauce

The food is definitely authentic and delicious but a bit pricey (especially the meat dishes - ~$30 and not a large portion either). Noodles (black bean and seafood) were delicious and reasonably priced! Also, the interior looks nice and modern which was nice!

Ordered Yu san seul for a delivery($37 when you dine-in) but from Ubereats it was $43 with bunch of fees. And the portion of this food was ridiculously small. It was like for 1person. Will never order from them ever. Horrible size do not order from them online or for a delivery.

The dry pot here is similar to others, where you serve yourself from a raw bar, the ingredients are weighed, and they cook it for you to the spice level of your liking. I don't like that noodles are charged separately from the weight of the other ingredients (vegetables, fish cakes, meat, etc.) Because of this, i almost opted to order one of the dakgalbi dishes on the menu for Hong Chun Cheon. However, the prices listed on the menu are for one serving. When i tried to order, the lady at the counter explained I had to order two order minimum. So the real price for one order of cheese dakgalbi is $51.90, not $25.95. This was annoying because I was the only person who wanted dakgalbi, which mean i ended up not getting it. I did get my dry pot though. They make it spicy just like everyone else. At about $16 per pound with separate charges for noodles, it's slightly more expensive than other dry pot restaurants in the area. I eventually wanna come back for the dakgalbi, but I'm gonna need to make sure i have a partner beforehand.

There aren't too many options but still ample to make a delicious mala dish. I got the Malatang with the Medium level which was the best for me, although I was sniffling a bit towards the end. I think Mild is also a great option, as it was still flavorful with a slight heat. We had a bit of a wait on Friday night as expected but luckily, upon being seated it's just a matter of waiting for the kitchen to prepare your dish. They offered us complimentary sweet potato tempura on the house which helped curb our hunger in the meantime. There are only three people working front of house so please be patient!

Table was cleaned and we were set up very quickly, the server came to us immediately and took our drink order pretty quickly. We started off with the scallion pancakes which were great! I realized we got a lot of food so I made a list of what we got and how good it was. Herbal chicken soup - fantastic (10 stars as a soup lover it was delicious and hearty) General Tso's - more on the sweet than spicy side which is my preference but may not be everyone's (very crispy and good in my opinion if you value texture over spice it was great -4/5 stars) Beef with scallion - my fam loves scallions so it was absolutely delish, and I tried some and thought so too! (5/5 stars) Eggplant in garlic sauce - delicious, was cooked very well, a perfect balance of spices and texture. (6/5 stars ** it was very very good ) Roast pork fried rice - SO SO good as is a staple of most Chinese places I think. (4.5/5) Shrimp pan fried noodles - I'm allergic to seafood so I didn't have it but it was good (4/5) OF COURSE THE SOUP DUMPLINGS: I'll give the soup dumplings a 4/5 they were good, I haven't had any in Jersey I usually go to NY for soup dumplings so I think it's pretty good for here. I think the service was very good, they were very kind, very attentive, now that could be because we ordered half the menu idk - but *I*** think it's SUCH a great place where you really get a bang for your buck. I also want to say the portion sizes are LARGE we definitely ended up taking things to go just because we didn't expect to order so much and for the portions to be so large. I think I may have forgotten another dish or two but overall the food is really really good. Only qualm really was just the size of the restaurant (which they can't really help) wasn't too big. The ambiance was very nice - though I think my party was unfortunately a bit more boisterous than the rest of the people around, it's family friendly so any one of all ages can come and enjoy something. Saw plenty of parents with strollers, elderly people, and everyone in between like my group. It's pretty good vibes. Big portions, great food, good people, good vibes! I have to come back here sometime! I usually go to Fort Lee for Korean food but I think I've found a new place to hit up when I'm in town. Lovely lovely place!

Personally I like the other Palisades Park spots more. Tang Suyuk. Got a small order. Meat was a bit on the drier side, the battery was similar to sweet/sour chicken without the sauce. It was crispy at certain edges but mostly it was kind softer and doughy. That on top of the bland dry pork, meh. Jjajang. Wife got the spicy one. The heat was there but the sauce was not as thick as I'm accustomed to nor was it as rich. The stir-fried pork was abundant but the sauce was definitely on the sweeter side. Felt a bit too thin on the sauce and not quite the addictive flavor that you'll find yourself shoveling in mouthfuls of noodles non-sotp. Jjampong. I opted for the one with the brisket. A decent amount of seafood but the brisket tasted just kind of boiled. Not really charred on the edges like a proper chadolbaegi would be. Basically this should be almost like beef bacon with the fatty band rendered out kind of crispy. The seafood and veggies didn't really have that bulmaht (wok hei, whatever) that you expect. The broth was not too oily but was just lacking in that rich smoky flavor I'd expect. Maybe things will improve in the future but more than likely I'll end up at one of the local favorites if I'm craving something like this.

My family decided to try it out after seeing an advertisement in one of the Korean newspapers, and we're definitely glad we did. We picked up an order for seafood chadol (brisket) jjamppong, the signature Mugeog (meaning "unbeatable" or "invincible" in Korean) Jjamppong, and jjajangmyung. It's difficult to find chadol jjamppong in the States, even in the Palisades Park/Fort Lee area, so I was pleasantly surprised to see it on the menu and have it be as tasty as it was -- there was a nice balance of seafood and chadol, and there were more than just a few sad slices of brisket, which is what I have normally found on the rare occasion that chadol jjamppong was on the menu. Jjajangmyun was tasty, albeit a bit salty, but the restaurant gets a slight pass because the noodles for all three of the dishes that we had were excellent and it markets itself as a jjamppong place, not a jjajangmyun place. And believe me when I say the signature dish deserves its "unbeatable/invincible" title as the soup contained SO MUCH seafood, including pieces of crab and a huge shrimp. There was so much seafood in the soup that the amount was enough for two people. (See the photo of the jjamppong take out containers for comparison.) In addition to the taste, the prices were also excellent -- we paid a total of $37 ($8 + $14 + $15). The restaurant recently opened in March so it's just approaching the six-month mark. I have seen many restaurants that do well in the beginning but fail after a year or so because they become too lax with taste and greedy with prices. Hopefully, this restaurant will stay true to its roots and remain consistent. My family is looking forward to trying more dishes, such as the sweet and sour pork, so we will be returning soon -- and at which time I hope to not write an updated review reneging on my 5 stars.
