Another experience with HST; another wonderful experience. In the hustle and bustle of this busy food hall, Hunger Street was a recognizable name that drew me right in. For a little storefront, their menu is pretty varied. There's a taco for all preferences and dietary restrictions. I forget exactly the tacos I got, but they were absolutely delicious. One was on a flour tortilla, which was nice and crispy, my preferred tortilla. One was on a corn, which I don't usually like, but this one was a little more handmade. It held together nicer, didn't crumble under my folding. And I've always been a fan of the simplicity of the taco fillings. Don't overfill the tacos. Get quality ingredients and let them sing. I love the Fairbanks location and was excited to hear that they were coming to Winter Garden. Hunger Street Tacos boast that they use the highest quality ingredients and that their recipes represent traditional Mexican cooking and I believe that they deliver. On my last visit I ordered the carnitas and chicken tacos. The chicken taco is made with pulled chicken, cilantro, onion, lime and avocado salsa. The carnitas have braised pork, cilantro, onion, lime and guajillo salsa. Street tacos are small but loaded with meat. Their corn tortillas are delicious and they have great tasting salsa. read more

It's a very unassuming place. No inside dining. You order at the counter and you sit outside. It is covered seating. The food was good. I had the brisket taco on fried cheese. Next time I would order on a regular tortilla. The cucumber salad was refreshing. They have hibiscus tea made in house and it was very nice but may be too strong for some people. The mushroom quesadilla was full of mushrooms and quite good. I had expected it to be much bigger but it was on the smaller side. The elote was also very flavorful. The fried avocado taco was the highlight and surprise of the meal. How does one fry an avocado and not have it greasy tasting and mushy. I absolutely ADORE hunger street tacos. I visited on a Saturday night with some friends from out of town. I ordered a suadero taco and an elote. The elote was definitely the star of the show. I wish it had a little bit of spice with it, but it was otherwise delicious and excellent. The taco was also great, with a healthy helping of toppings. The brisket was moist and delicious. The food was ready for pick up in about 10 minutes. I will absolutely be swinging by hunger street tacos the next time I'm at crooked can. read more

This restaurant is located in a food hall which is a must see location in downtown wintergarden and its actually where the brewery is as well. I ordered at this restaurant a brisket taco and a chicken quesadilla and was pleasantly surprised at how tasty they were. On the contrary I was originally charged more for the food than what was listed on the menu. Glad I caught this as I brought it to attention. It had to be approved by the manager but in the end they did charge me menu price. Positives: 1) Food is delicious and comes out quick. 2) Location is at the plant street market food hall. 3) Clean. Improvement opportunities: 1) Price and quantity. The food is great but in small amounts. It's expensive. 2) seating. The closest seats and tables are outside. This is a tough one. Two visits now. First one the food was excellent even tho the prices are sky high. Today on Mexico's Independence Day we stopped by and were disappointed. Stopped at the Plant Street Market after a walk on the Orange Blossom Trail to see if they had any vegan options. One vendor had cold prepackaged chickpea salads/wraps and this taco shop had mushroom street tacos so I decided to get 3 tacos. The lady at the register was very friendly. I paid and gave her my cell phone number for them to send me a text when my order was ready. I got enough time to walk to the other end of the building when I got their text. I went back to pick it up and found it uncovered on a counter right by where everyone walks. As a matter of fact, there was a man right on top of my food looking at it. I wish they had covered containers if they're leaving food unattended by where others can be that close to it. I went back to the brewery section where they had seating available to enjoy my tacos with a 9oz Florida Blonde. Overall, the tacos were good. The mushrooms needed more seasoning but the toppings compensated for it. The corn tortillas were tasty but were coming apart because of all the liquid probably from the mushrooms and salsa. It's hard to find good fresh vegan tacos in the area so I will definitely be back for more. read more

My friend and I tried this place out at the Plant Street market one Friday night. It took a little while for our food to be ready (about 30 minutes) but it was a pretty busy night. We ordered chilaquiles to share and I got a carne asada taco. The chilaquiles were alright, though a little salty and kind of mushy. Make sure you have a phone carrier that has service. Because the "text" they send you that your food is ready doesn't exist because of "bad service." So my food sat for 20 minutes because the text didn't send and they gave me a "time stamp" instead. Really loving soggy food. Don't use a text service if it doesn't work. read more
