Second time getting a meal for one of my teens. The Hungry Bear has a great theme. It's got a great view of the river. There's so much seating. But the food leaves something to be desired. The presentation is awful. The portions are small. They do have barbecue sauce to hide the bland food. Overall this is not my favorite place at Disneyland to eat.
Wonderful place to recharge and rest. Lots of tables and chairs with "Fixin's" located throughout the outdoor restaurant. Restrooms are on the lower level. Upper Level has the counters. Use Mobile Ordering ahead of time. Food is typical Disneyland fare. On Star Wars Nite the pork belly sandwich was a hit with my daughter. Definitely a return visit call!!!
I love BBQ so we had to try this place. It was packed and the line was long. They had mobile ordering so I had my wife do the ordering and i Looked for a table to sit at. I found one down the way and in the shade. I waisted for my wife to bring the food. The place was really clean and had several staff going around cleaning the tables. Really friendly and nice. The wife was taking awhile so I called her. The mobile app would of been great and I had hoped it would skip the line but those orders would of been if we had planned ahead. The food would be ready in 20 minutes or longer so she had to get in the long line to order from the counter. The staff moved the line pretty fast. I got the combo plate which had brisket and pork ribs. It came with fries and some pickled veggies. The fries had some spices on it and were nice and crunchy. I enjoyed it a lot. the brisket was juicy and flavorful. The pork had great flavor and off the bone quick. I loved it all. I would get it all again.
One of the best places to dine at Disneyland. Tucked away near Tiana's bayou and the Pooh ride is the Hungry Bear. Portions are always good and super flavorful. Ordered the BBQ combo with Fries, Coleslaw, Brisket, and Pulled pork. Portion was plentiful and food was on point. I do think this is one of the restaurants I go to the most at DLR. Platter and Burgers are usually fantastic. There's a lot of seating available which is nice and cast members are super sweet, keeping the area super clean and well maintained. Fast service so once you order, you just walk up to the counter and then you'll get your food. Definitely a recommended place to try.

Food: We had the BBQ pulled pork sandwich which was great if you go to the bbq service stand to get the variety of sauces. I also love the corn rib platter that has the awesome corn goodness. Seasonal Snickerdoodle cold brew is really good and almost as good as the Black Caff from Docking Bay. Great dining experience for Disneyland. Service: Disneyland Cast equals great service. Atmosphere: I have a great view of Rovers of America. Great feeling and atmosphere for a bbq place at Disneyland.
I was super hungry by this point. I only had junk all morning and afternoon. I like how there's a bathroom underneath the patio. I got the salad and it was the perfect amount of food. I enjoyed it! It wasn't filled with too much sauce. I also added the spicy barbecue sauce which made it even better. I just wish it had more corn. The service was super friendly. I sat on the balcony overlooking water. Tons of seating here it wasn't super packed at the time.
I've eaten at Hungry Bear a couple of times while visiting Disneyland now -- while it's on the expensive side considering all of the food options in the park, I would also argue that the portions of BBQ make up for that a bit, as I've left both times with my appetite satisfied. The BBQ pulled pork sandwich is a classic and hits the spot, especially when you can dip it in several different BBQ sauce flavors. The brisket is hit-or-miss -- I've had one experience where it was juicy and delectable, but on my latest salad, it was bit dry and extremely fatty. I also tried the peach cobbler funnel fries last time, and they were a highlight of my Disneyland trip; I'd highly recommend the funnel cake fries!

Service was okay; I placed a mobile order but half of my order was not ready when I arrived to pick it up. They were very quick to rectify this which I appreciated. It definitely has a very country vibe with great scenery and seating by the Rivers of America. I took away one star as sometimes the quality of the food can be inconsistent, specifically with the brisket being tough and chewy.
Located in Frontier Land, this BBQ eatery is worth giving a try. It's order and pick up. The BBQ meats are decent, tender and tasty. The service was very good. There was an error in my order and Ivan who takes your receipt and organize your order quickly corrected it without question. Classic cheeseburger- 3.5/5 A nice burger to get if you're not in the mood for BBQ. The burger patty was tender, not over cooked or dry. You get a slice of American cheese, some chards of lettuce in a regular hamburger bun. It would be so much better if they added a slice of two tomatoes, and maybe some pickles. BBQ salad - 4.5/5 This was an excellent selection. You get to choose your meat (we selected brisket), with fresh lettuce, carrots and cucumbers. The dressing was spicy, but you can get ranch from the condiments kiosk instead. Overall, we would revisit Hungry Bear BBQ in the near future.
This has been my husband's favorite value restaurant at Disneyland CA for half decade now. They've been reliable with easy to find seating, mobile order/quick lines and large portion sizes, and hot food. Recently they're revamped the menu to add BBQ items and more BBQ flavor sauces. We had the Smoked Beef Brisket Sandwich and Smoked Angus Beef Burger with Pulled Pork and enjoyed both. Is it the best BBQ? No, but it's hot and tastes nice. The thick fries are crispy and nice. A solid choice for meals at Disneyland.
Decent place to grab a bite, and the only fast casual with ample seating in that area (you either have to go back to New Orleans Square/Frontierland/Adventureland or make the trek into Star Wars land). There used to be some BBQ place but I guess they closed it awhile ago. I think it was called Big Thunder Ranch BBQ. I miss that. The options are fine, standard American BBQ fare. Very easy to get the things you need, condiments are plentiful, seating is too, bathrooms are conveniently downstairs.
Kiddies' mom preordered on her Disney App. While she stood in line to pick up the order, the kiddies and I saved 2 tables in the far back corner of the eatery. When the food came my eyes deceived me. It looked small but it was just enough. The food tasted good. Usually I like Cole slaw but I offered it to hubs but he declined.
This was our first time eating here since the menu changed to being more BBQ forward. I would say that the smoke BBQ combo platter is the best option because you get two choices of protein and then two sides, white bread, and pickles. I had the pulled pork and beef brisket + coleslaw and baked beans. I would give this platter a 4/5 for theme park food but it was veryyy expensive for the amount of food you get - $23 before your pass discount. My mom got the barbecue salad with beef brisket and a corn rib...she said she would not get this again. What I would 100% get again is the banana pudding! It was small and expensive but delicious. As always, cast member service is amazing and there was ample seating. Just don't know if the food is worth the price, there are other spots in Disney I would go to first!
So good I forgot to take a picture. The bbq combo platter of shortribs and beef brisket leave me drooling but don't be surprised by Disneyland prices. The meat was perfectly cooked and fell off the bone. Would probably pass on the coleslaw sides. There's plenty of seating in the shade. read more
Okay hear me out you hungry park goers. Coming from San Francisco I don't find the price unreasonable for what you get. We were actually pleasantly surprised by how decent the BBQ was. For realz. I'm not saying it's the best BBQ, but for park, it was great. The ribs and meat were not dry or overcooked and we felt that it had decent flavor and the sides were also decent. Like I had low expectations and this place really surprised our entire group! read more
For park food, it's decent and pretty good. However, don't be soo stingy on the fries when you are charging &20 for a bbq sandwich. Other than that, food was good. I enjoyed my salad but wished I could have said dressing on the side though in the mobile order. I don't like a lot of dressing. read more

Michelle was our cashier and she was super nice and chit chatted for a bit. I ordered the loaded fries and classic cheeseburger. She assured us that the cheeseburger was nut free. Always gotta check because of our food allergy. Theres 2 floors for dining tables. Makes it easier to find a spot. And there are restrooms on the bottom floor. The loaded fries were absolutely delicious! Im not too into pulled pork but I finished the whole thing. And yes it is a meal. It went well with the crispy fries and cheese. Its topped with jalapeños, cilantro and pickled radish. So good! Glad I decided to get this. The classic cheeseburger was really good as well and the fries it came with were perfectly crisp on the outside. They have 3 different types of bbq dispensers, classic, golden, and spicy. As well as ketchup and ranch. Great lunch experience for us. Thank you! read more
This ended up being our final meal and food during our visit to Disneyland and it was still really good although there was nothing that would make it great. There are a variety of choices for what it is, and ample room for plenty of people to sit, relax for a minute, and enjoy their food. One thing that differed here from every other food venue in any Disney location where I experienced a cast member who was extremely abrasive. Now, it's fair that everyone has a bad day, and she was not nasty but she was impatient and a bit rude which was surprising at the time; all over a few questions about cole slaw. The food was outstanding though, both sandwiches were great, although I only tried a bit of each as I ended up ordering chicken fingers; something I very rarely do because this was the only way to get access to the cole slaw without having to buy it as a side item for an exorbitant theme park price. Then I was lucky enough to get everyone's pickled red onions too, which made me very happy. Everything was piping hot and prepared well and despite the high prices (to be expected) the size of the burger and pulled pork sandwiches were pretty substantial. It actually ended up feeling like we really got a good deal for our meal, likely because it was such a long day, but it's always nice going to a theme park and having access to actual good food. This ended up being yet another stop on the start of our journey to Southern California, albeit this part entirely within Disney, that was quite good. If you happen to be in Disneyland and don't want to book a dinner or lunch reservation and would prefer to simply stop somewhere to get a bite to eat, Hungry Bear isn't just a simple short order spot. You will get a very good meal that is filling and keeps you powered and walking through the park for the duration of your visit. Check it out as you exit or enter Frontierland! Ordered via Mobile order-Smoked Bbq platter & corn ribs plate and came with beer battered fries. Added root bear float & watermelon lemonade. The bbq plater we had pulled pork, beef brisket & ribs (we ordered 2 sets-rib/brisket & pulled pork & brisket) and 2 ordered of corn ribs. The slaw & beans were ok and the meats and corn ribs were wonderfully tasty and really yummy. Drinks were also good. Plenty of searing. Would order again-definitely! read more
Can't really say much about this place other than, if you're desperate for BBQ it's fills the void. The portions are small, the meat is dry and you'll get the saddest plate of BBQ meat and a slice of bread for $40-50 in Socal. There's a lot of better options in the park, so I would probably try the Plaza In or Lamplight Lounge for much better food, at around the same price you're spending here. read more

No...no.. no... no..!!!! I got 2 pieces of brisket (dry), 1/4 cup pulled pork (2) 1/4 bbq baked beans , 1 huge slice of dry untoasted, unseasoned white bread, 1/2 pickles/red onions/jalapeños, large soda, and a side of fries. The only thing that saved this meal was the bbq sauces, ketchup, my hunger and the pet peeve of wasted money . Waited 20 mins, even with the mobile app. PAID $30, even with my INSPIRE Season pass holder discount. Im so disappointed. Dont do it. PERIOD. read more
I have not yet tried the food at Hungry Bear Barbecue, but I did get to try the Mint Chip Cold Brew. This is hands down one of the best cold brews Ive had in Disneyland. Really hoping this one sticks around because it is absolutely amazing! There is quite a bit of seating here and lots of shade, perfect for lunch or dinner on those super hot days in Disney. read more
This is now one of our favorite places to eat in Disneyland. Years ago, I thought this was a forgettable, overpriced BBQ spot but their renovation of their menu now brings me back time and time again. Sure you can get a great classic cheeseburger or chicken tenders and fries and be a happy camper.. Or you can get the BBQ plate, which for the price, is a great value as you get an option of two: pulled pork , pork ribs, smoked sausage or beef brisket. I have tried all of them and they were all very good! The corn riblets were surprisingly good too! I eat meat but sometimes, i am not in the mood for a heavy lunch so this is a great alternative! I also love their new beverages that rotate season to season. Right now, I am a huge fan of the sparkly pickle lemonade. The flavor combination totally works and on a hot day, i am feeling not only energetic but hydrated. Service is fast if you time it right with the Disneyland app. Service is friendly for the most part and much of the process is self-served (if you used the app) but you would be surprised at how present and helpful the staff is! I would start busting my table and a staff member is right there already grabbing my tray. Another time, a staff member was passing by and asked if we needed napkins. Great spot for BBQ and there is something for everyone. read more
The line was super long so I tried doing the mobile order and rested my feet. I really don't understand why there are different rules for mobile order at different places. I had to wait for the window time just to inform them to start preparing my order which wasn't clear when I mobile ordered. So I had to wait additional time before getting my order which sucked. I ordered the combo platter selecting the ribs and brisket. I added the pulled pork a la carte. I selected fries and coleslaw which was under the slice of white bread. All the food had good flavor and well cooked. The pickles were spicy. All the sauces were next to the napkins and utensiles. Not sure why they provide the tiniest little white cups I see lots of people taking a tray full of little cups. My opinion less wasteful if Disneyland just sprung for a larger size cup. They can afford it. If you have a hankering for BBQ, this is the place to go. Think it is the only place in the parks for BBQ. If not, then keep walking. Nearby are lots of snacks like pretzels, churros, ice cream. read more

While at Disneyland we decided to eat dinner here. This place was packed with people and almost all the tables were full. We were able to order pretty quickly. We got our food within a reasonable time. I had the brisket sandwich. It was good and well seasoned however the brisket was extremely fatty. I felt like half of the brisket was fat. The fries were good. My husband and kids had the classic cheese burger and were happy with it. I would eat here again but I would not buy a brisket sandwich again. read more
I have yet to try any of the food here, but the bathrooms are some of my favorite and MY GOD THE MINT CHIP COLD BREW!!! That one is BY FAR my new favorite in Disneyland, next visit you might catch me with one for breakfast, brunch, lunch, dinner, supper, snack, and dessert.... read more

We decided to stop by for a late lunch thanks to Michele M's amazing review! We ordered the Barbecue Pulled Pork Sandwich, Loaded Fries, Smoked Barbecue Combo Platter with Pork Spareribs and Beef Brisket and Powerade Mountain Berry Blast. Everything our family had was deliciously flavorful, definitely a 5 star worthy meal! I would HIGHLY recommend Hungry Bear Barbecue Jamboree located at Bayou Country inside Disneyland! Restaurant was popular, but definitely worth the wait! We really enjoyed our view of the Rivers of America upstairs! Their restrooms are located downstairs and tables are cleaned regularly! Hungry Bear Barbecue Jamboree is quick-service restaurant located in Disneyland's Bayou Country (formerly Critter Country). We can enjoy outdoor seating with scenic views of the Rivers of America. Can't go wrong with a huge variety of house smoke meats! We love the Smoked Barbecue Combo Platter! It's perfect for sharing!!! We usually order pork spare ribs, pulled pork and beef brisket served with baked beans, house slaw, white bread, and pickles. The beer-battered fries are one of the best in the park! read more
I tried the tri tip sandwich at Hungry Bear Barbecue Jamboree and it just wasn't for me. The meat was way too fatty and kind of overwhelmed the whole thing. On the bright side, the fries and dessert options were solid and it's a nice shady corner of the park to sit down and take a break, especially when the rest of Disneyland feels like it's running on high speed. I probably wouldn't go out of my way to eat here again, but it's not the worst spot if you just need a place to rest and refuel a bit. read more
Located across from the newest Disneyland Attraction Tiana's Bayou Adventure is Hungry Bear Barbecue Jamboree that received refurbishment when the attraction was. Love the new signage and the seating is always very spacious while being cozy. Easily one of my favorite places in the park for quick service dining, and love that you can place a mobile order to skip the line! The Corn Rib Plater is quite possibly the most innovative way to have a vegetarian rib platter. It was easily in my top five meals for quick service and loved there were sauce options to self serve as well. The spicy BBQ was my favorite. The only food critique is the Cole slaw had a very pellicular flavor, and definitely ended up wasting as it was not edible in my opinion. I hope it was a one off, and still will try again as the corn was delicious! read more
Reopened as Hungry Bear BBQ with new items. We tried the corn ribs. Pretty good but pricey for just 4 slices of roasted season corn-I'm thinking one ear of corn. It came with fries and cole slaw and chili-lime aioli dip. $15. Recommend mobile ordering and getting a table during busy times. You'll have more luck getting a table further away in the last section. The other new items look interesting too. read more
Me, my husband and our almost 2 year old daughter came here for dinner. We always ate at Hungry Bear. We decided to give the new one a try. It was good but I do miss the old Hungry Bear Restaurant. It is now a BBQ restaurant. They have different meats and side dishes to choose from. We got chicken tenders and fries for our daughter and she loved it. The chicken tenders were good and crispy. The portions were big. My husband and I ended up sharing a meal and it was perfect. read more
Me and my wife were visiting Disneyland for vacation. It was lunch hour, and we saw this place nearby in the Critter County area of the park. I was in the mood for barbecue so we figured we could give it a try. When we walked up, there was a little bit of a line, but they did a good job keeping it moving. The cashier was very good at paying attention to our details with ordering. Me and my wife both ordered the same thing to eat. After placing our order, it didn't take long for the woman at the counter to get our order ready. There was plenty of seating too, so it wasn't an issue finding a spot. We were very satisfied with the food. It was all cooked fresh and the fries that came with our meal were extra crispy. The mint chip cold brew I got was out of this world amazing. If you're visiting Disneyland, and you're in the mood for barbecue, definitely go to this place. It's convenient, recently priced and service is excellent. read more

Unfortunately no. The churro funnel cake was a staple for awhile and was always served just like the traditional churro funnel cake when there isn't a seasonal special funnel cake.

It's inside Disneyland park so you have to pay for parking and a ticket to the park in order to eat here.
