The cast here clearly needs to understand that guest service goes a long way on how the place they work at can affect how people perceive your food. The flipping comments along with the can't be bothered to help the guest is not just a one off. It came from multi cast. Not only to the quests but to each other. Management needs to really pay attention to the guest service that is given to the guests. Disney shouldn't give out this level of service that would give MCDS guest service a run for its level of service. The food was typical everyday theme park burger. Not horrible in general but basic. The BBQ pulled pork sandwich is a classic and hits the spot, especially when you can dip it in several different BBQ sauce flavors. The brisket is hit-or-miss -- I've had one experience where it was juicy and delectable, but on my latest salad, it was bit dry and extremely fatty. I was in the mood for barbecue so we figured we could give it a try. When we walked up, there was a little bit of a line, but they did a good job keeping it moving. I would say that the smoke BBQ combo platter is the best option because you get two choices of protein and then two sides, white bread, and pickles. I had the pulled pork and beef brisket + coleslaw and baked beans. I would give this platter a 4/5 for theme park food but it was veryyy expensive for the amount of food you get - $23 before your pass discount. My mom got the barbecue salad with beef brisket and a corn rib...she said she would not get this again. What I would 100% get again is the banana pudding! It was small and expensive but delicious. This ended up being our final meal and food during our visit to Disneyland and it was still really good although there was nothing that would make it great. There are a variety of choices for what it is, and ample room for plenty of people to sit, relax for a minute, and enjoy their food. One thing that differed here from every other food venue in any Disney location where I experienced a cast member who was extremely abrasive. Now, it's fair that everyone has a bad day, and she was not nasty but she was impatient and a bit rude which was surprising at the time; all over a few questions about cole slaw. The food was outstanding though, both sandwiches were great, although I only tried a bit of each as I ended up ordering chicken fingers; something I very rarely do because this was the only way to get access to the cole slaw without having to buy it as a side item for an exorbitant theme park price. Then I was lucky enough to get everyone's pickled red onions too, which made me very happy. Everything was piping hot and prepared well and despite the high prices (to be expected) the size of the burger and pulled pork sandwiches were pretty substantial. It actually ended up feeling like we really got a good deal for our meal, likely because it was such a long day, but it's always nice going to a theme park and having access to actual good food. This ended up being yet another stop on the start of our journey to Southern California, albeit this part entirely within Disney, that was quite good. If you happen to be in Disneyland and don't want to book a dinner or lunch reservation and would prefer to simply stop somewhere to get a bite to eat, Hungry Bear isn't just a simple short order spot. This is now one of our favorite places to eat in Disneyland. Years ago, I thought this was a forgettable, overpriced BBQ spot but their renovation of their menu now brings me back time and time again. Sure you can get a great classic cheeseburger or chicken tenders and fries and be a happy camper.. Or you can get the BBQ plate, which for the price, is a great value as you get an option of two: pulled pork , pork ribs, smoked sausage or beef brisket. I have tried all of them and they were all very good! The corn riblets were surprisingly good too! I eat meat but sometimes, i am not in the mood for a heavy lunch so this is a great alternative! I also love their new beverages that rotate season to season. Right now, I am a huge fan of the sparkly pickle lemonade. The flavor combination totally works and on a hot day, i am feeling not only energetic but hydrated. Service is fast if you time it right with the Disneyland app. Service is friendly for the most part and much of the process is self-served (if you used the app) but you would be surprised at how present and helpful the staff is! The line was super long so I tried doing the mobile order and rested my feet. I really don't understand why there are different rules for mobile order at different places. I had to wait for the window time just to inform them to start preparing my order which wasn't clear when I mobile ordered. So I had to wait additional time before getting my order which sucked. I ordered the combo platter selecting the ribs and brisket. I added the pulled pork a la carte. I selected fries and coleslaw which was under the slice of white bread. All the food had good flavor and well cooked. The pickles were spicy. All the sauces were next to the napkins and utensiles. Not sure why they provide the tiniest little white cups I see lots of people taking a tray full of little cups. My opinion less wasteful if Disneyland just sprung for a larger size cup. They can afford it. If you have a hankering for BBQ, this is the place to go. Think it is the only place in the parks for BBQ. If not, then keep walking. I tried the tri tip sandwich at Hungry Bear Barbecue Jamboree and it just wasn't for me. The meat was way too fatty and kind of overwhelmed the whole thing. On the bright side, the fries and dessert options were solid and it's a nice shady corner of the park to sit down and take a break, especially when the rest of Disneyland feels like it's running on high speed. Located across from the newest Disneyland Attraction Tiana's Bayou Adventure is Hungry Bear Barbecue Jamboree that received refurbishment when the attraction was. Love the new signage and the seating is always very spacious while being cozy. Easily one of my favorite places in the park for quick service dining, and love that you can place a mobile order to skip the line! The Corn Rib Plater is quite possibly the most innovative way to have a vegetarian rib platter. It was easily in my top five meals for quick service and loved there were sauce options to self serve as well. The spicy BBQ was my favorite. The only food critique is the Cole slaw had a very pellicular flavor, and definitely ended up wasting as it was not edible in my opinion.
