So hungry after we landed. We found this Filipino bbq place. Of my! So good. Not sure if it's a new location because I cant check in online. It's called Tony's BBQ and bibingkinitan in Anaheim. So good! The service was top notched, both ladies made sure we were attended to from order to checking in of our meal was good, to the end where white editing outside for our uber, filipina gal said stay and wait inside too many homeless out there. She was worried about us. This piece is not near our hotel, but I don't mind because the food was so good. I found them on Yelp, but apparently a foodie reviewer on IG did a reel on this place. I wish I could go back for breakfast, but I'm busy at the convention all week. Place was clean as well. The skewers, and the bbq beef were mmmm
* Who: partner & I * What: random late lunch * When: Saturday a little past noon * Why: hungry after apartment touring * Space/Decor: in a small plaza that had plenty of parking when we arrived. Average space in the sense it's rectangular & like any mom/pop hole in the wall. You step in, tables to your right going all the way back, & left front side has cash register, sweets display, & water dispenser while the rest of the left was the kitchen. Menu was straightforward but could benefit from having a description in case you're not familiar (like my BF). * Service: the reason I'm docking by 1 star. The lady was nice, but not very attentive, & it wasn't like it was busy. We needed to ask or follow up on 2-3 things. My BF was eyeing some dessert when we were first ordering but she didn't try to sell it to us * Food: surprisingly good as it was both our first time there. He got the adobo bowl & the chicken was tender/juicy & pretty much fell off the bone. I got the tocino plate & the meat was flavorful with just the right amount of garlic in the rice. We also got one chicken skewer & one pork skewer, which was a bit smaller than I'm used to but the smoky flavor & tenderness was spot on. My only issue was the portion compared to the price. * Final Thoughts: mom/pop Filipino food that is great on flavor but leaves something to be desired with customer service. Would recommend & will return again for the food. * Final Grade: B+ or 8.5/10

Combo plate came with three pork bbq skewers, rice, pickled veggies, sauce and a soup. The pork bbq was really good, paired with the sauce and pickled veggies - even better. I tried the chicken combo plate and it also was good. Food is made to order, expect a wait. There are plenty of tables to dine in and lots of parking.
wow what a gem in anaheim! The Best Filipino foods in the heart of this business Plaza. Freshly prepared BBQ combos and lots of items to choose from.It feels like home (Manila philippines) where you smell the aroma that's been prepared in the kitchen. They have the Best Pork BBQ and Lumpiang shanghai,it is a must have and also try to grab a bite of their bibingkinitan it is like bibingka and pancake in one! staff are so friendly and welcoming! We will be back for more
After a long day at Disneyland, my friend reminded me of this place she saw on Instagram. We left DL and we got to the restaurant by 5ish. My friend and I were welcomed and told the staff that it was our first time. She told us the popular items so we ordered a Pork Skewer meal and a Chicken Inasal meal. We also ordered a Halo Halo, Taho and 3 Mini-Bibingkas. We ate our meals and for us, it was pretty good. The chicken was very tender and the pork skewers had a great flavor. We had the rest to go and ate some of it when we got home and the following morning. I appreciated the instructions of how to heat up their Taho which even Chowking doesn't even do. Will go back when we are in the area again. I'll try the seafood next time.
If you've never had Filipino BBQ before, I IMPLORE you to try Tony's BBQ. This was my first time, and one bite I was HOOKED, y'all. SO packed with flavor and everything just tastes so freshly prepared, no MSG and none of that bad stuff. Portions here are crazy good, it's basically double protein from what other places give you. I can totally see why the pork skewers are their bestseller here--SO tender and absolutely delectable--but my faves have got to be the liempo (pork belly) or the GIGANTIC chicken inasal (whole chicken leg). And apparently, people come from all over just for their taho, which is like a tofu pudding dessert??? Confirmed, 10 out of 10 ;) Thanks for reading! ^-^

We tried the grilled chicken and pork skewers, pork belly, and grilled seabass--all perfectly cooked and packed with flavor, served with rice on the side. To top it off, we ended the meal with their Halo Halo and fresh-from-the-oven soft bibingkinitan--such a perfect finish. Service was fast and friendly, and the prices are very reasonable. I'll definitely be coming back for another delicious, authentic Filipino meal!
Haven't had inasal since I visited Negros Occidental in May. This surely satisfied my cravings! The only difference I found from eating this meal at a street food stand in Negros was the lack of crushed garlic to add to my rice and the use of calamansi instead of lemon. The chicken oil also seemed to be mixed with the rice already. The food and service were outstanding. Will be back!
My husband found this place online and wanted to try it, and we did on a Tuesday. Parking was a little tight, busy plaza too. Anyway, once inside it is a small restaurant with a few tables. You go up the counter to order and pick your own table. Easy ordering but that's it. The food took about 25-30 minutes to come out, the chicken inasal meal was good but the chicken was thin, the pork bbq was great and the sauce that comes with it. When our food was delivered we told the server we're only missing the bibingkinitan, server told us you get that from counter, which we were not told that information when we ordered. Service did not pass expectations, food was good but nothing to rave about. The lady at the counter looks stressed and overworked. Unless they hire more people to get the food going faster or think of a way to cook it faster, we sadly don't see ourselves coming back often.
The food is amazing and instagramable. The flavor is not lacking at all and the price is definitely affordable. The location is tiny from the outside but spacious on the inside and the service is impeccable! They were friendly and welcoming! If you blink driving by you will miss it so don't blink! It's next to Circle K!
Just from looking at the food in Tony's Barbecue's Yelp photo gallery I knew I had to try this place soon!! Located in an older shopping strip, Tony's is not to be overlooked. The inside of the restaurant looks like it may have been recently updated ~ it's nicely arranged with a good amount of seating. Orders are placed at the counter and your food is brought to your table when it's ready. Since it was our first visit, the lady at the front was happy to answer our questions and make suggestions. Everything is freshly made to order, so be prepared for a short wait. Plates come with a cup of egg drop soup (which came up piping hot and was very flavorful) that is served to be enjoyed while you wait for your main dish. My foodie friend ordered a fish dish with the Java rice. I chose the beef rib plate and also went with the Java rice. Siopao was a new featured item and apparently they're known for their bibingka, so I added those as well because at this point, why not right? While my friend enjoyed her fish, she said it could have used more seasoning and she wished that she didn't have to pick out the bones. My beef ribs were SOOOO good!! And the Java rice had a really nice flavor that went perfectly with the ribs. Since we had so much food, we split the siopao (a steamed pork bun), and I can't even begin to describe the bibingka ~ it was rich and delicious, with a slightly sweet & creamy filling. I'd have to have another one to better describe its flavor more accurately. I'm so glad to have discovered Tony's! I can't wait to go back!!! read more

This place hit the spot with the food and decent prices! I stopped by for lunch since I don't eat Filipino food often and was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed this meal. I chose their pork on skewers combo and it came with rice and papaya salad and a soup. The restaurant was half empty at the time so it wasn't too hectic. They also have soup was nice and warming, served right before the meal. When the platters came out, I couldnt stop eating! My fiancé had the short rib platter and that was also delicious. It came with 3 skewers for each combo. It may not look like much food but it definitely fills you up. Amazing food, good prices and decent service - I will be coming back again sometime. read more

I was pleasantly surprised with Tony's! They were very busy and there was a little wait for my pickup order, but that's when you know the food is gonna be good. Next time, I'll call in my order. We ordered the Chicken Inasal, Pork Bbq, and Bibingka! All very delicious. The meals all come with sabaw, atchara, and sawsawan. I can't wait to go back and try the other entrees! The owner even sold me the last 2 bibingkas and gave me one for free. Thank you ate! read more

If ordering to-go, DOUBLE CHECK your food. I usually do, but this time I was in a rush, so completely forgot to. But unfortunately one of my orders of the chicken inasal only came with one piece when it should be two. I honestly feel they overcharge for what it is. The chicken was juicy and tender, but it lacked flavor (seasoning). No where near close to how our inasal is in the motherland, which was what I was expecting. Along with your order, you get soup, which was ok and salty. It seemed like egg flour soup, but without the egg--not sure what they called it. Not sure if I would go back. They have other items on their menu, which may be better than what I got, but still think it's overpriced for what they give you. read more

We came into town to visit and saw that there was a Filipino BBQ spot. Let me tell you - the food here is amazing! We ordered the chicken and pork skewers, chicken inisal, and bibingkinatan. Everything from the Java rice to the meat was top tier! Including the sauce and achara (pickled papaya). The bibingkinatan was freshly baked when we got it. It's the perfect balance of sweet and savory. Very fluffy but still thick and filling. The ambiance reminds me of the motherland. It's very cozy with pictures on the walls and red and gold paint. If you eat-in you can get free iced water (self-serve). Service was great. The two ladies working were very accommodating. It was super busy so they had a lot of orders but once we got our food we were satisfied. The tita that was cooking and baking was super friendly and treated us like how your tita would...like family. I would definitely recommend coming here to enjoy some comforting Filipino BBQ. First time. Friend referral for Bibingka. It would appear this store makes them fresh all day. They were fresh (hot). My experience was 4 separate flavors at 4 different times while eating. Textures of creamy and firm (outside). By far the best I have had in my life. I will return for more as well as to try their BBQ. The service was great for a to go order. Store is a bit of a "hole in the wall" but with food this great, who cares! Plenty of parking at this strip mall. read more

I tried the fountain valley spot years ago, and finally got around to eating inside the store here in Anaheim. Food is definitely worth the wait, and while waiting, my wife and I took advantage of their board games. The soup they serve before your meal was delicious and the temperature stayed hot. Though the prices are kind of expensive, the food is quite delicious. Definitely reminds me of my time in the Philippines. The manager was nice and asked us about our experiences. This mom & pop shop is small, maybe fits 16 ppl on a good day for dine in. The owner must love Elvis because that's what was softly playing in the background... very chill/ quiet vibe. Pork bbq skewer & chicken bbq skewer combos were good/ authentic - both came with soup & fried rice, but it wasn't super filling. We added a pork siopao to share & had taho for dessert - both were yummy. Now that topped us off! Maybe we were just starving lol! We were ready to buy at least 6 lil bibingkas to take home/ share, but they ran out & were only going to make more if we wanted to wait for them. Oh well... next time, I guess. read more

Everything was fantastic from the service down to the food. Sir leonardo and ate mimi was very accommodating. Food was awesome. Chicken inasal and grilled liempo is a must try! Will definitely recommend this if you're looking for an authentic food!! read more

I've visited other Tony's locations before so I'm glad they opened up in Anaheim. The location is smaller in a shopping plaza. I ordered ahead on the phone for a Christmas eve pick up. In the past I've only had the bibingka and bbq skewers which are always delicious. This time I tried the tuna belly and bangus. Wow the bangus belly was a surprise, not salty at all, I liked the way this was cooked. Tuna belly was also really good. The bibingka pieces are huge and they come out hot. Overall great options if you're looking to bring food to a party and wow people. read more
Had a lovely meal at Tony's Anaheim. Amy greeted us warmly and explained the best-sellers. Hubs picked 2 meals that he couldn't stop raving about: liempo and chicken bbq. I ordered grilled seabass and it was delicious. All meals include egg drop soup, atchara, peanut sauce and java rice. Very affordable and fresh. Of course we also bought their $8 Taho and took home $3 bibingka. The meats were tender and moist and very tasty. I recommend calling ahead to place an order because a meal takes at least 20++ mins to cook & serve. I saved their number so I'll just speed dial on my lunch hour! This weather calls for hot & cozy Taho. I recently came to this place and was greeted with warm smiles and kind people. The staff was so nice and welcoming, it's like I'm hanging with my aunties. I ordered the Grilled Pork Combo: Rice, Atchara and soup, Taho and of course I have to try the mini Bibingka that are coming right out of the oven. Everything I ordered was delicious and made me wanting more. I ended up ordered 12 piece Bibingka for Thanksgiving and will order Taho for Christmas Eve. My friend and I came for their grand opening today and everything we ordered was so so GOOD OMG!! The owners were so incredibly sweet and inviting and it gave such a homey vibe when we were eating there. We got their shrimp and chicken inasal meals and a bbq chicken and pork skewer. They really nailed the cooks on all of the proteins because they were all super juicy and tender! The dipping sauces that were included added additional layers of flavor and really tied everything together. The meals also came with a side of java rice and egg drop soup. We absolutely devoured all of our food and ended up with no leftovers. You also have to order some desserts when you visit! Their bibingkinitan was served warm and tasted so soft and fluffy. It gave sweet mochi cornbread vibes. The taho was also so addicting to eat. The tofu was so soft and was covered with bits of sago and brown sugar syrup. Everything was perfectly not too sweet too which is the best compliment for Asian desserts! The watermelon drink was also very hydrating and refreshing, great to drink with all the meats. I wish we live close by because this is the best bbq we've had in a while! We ordered the pork bbq and pork belly and they are so tasty! Also comes with free soup and atchara. It's fresh and not a long wait for food. Good portion too you can have leftover for later! We also ordered the saging con yielo. There's a lot of banana and jackfruit in it. Bonus also that they have parking! Good service! They're so friendly and nice! We will definitely come back and try their other offerings! read more

Came here after a lift and met Elmer n Luz... I got three #2's for me n my boys...perfect post workout meal! 3 skewers n about a cup of rice.
