This place hit the spot with the food and decent prices! I stopped by for lunch since I don't eat Filipino food often and was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed this meal. I chose their pork on skewers combo and it came with rice and papaya salad and a soup. The restaurant was half empty at the time so it wasn't too hectic. They also have soup was nice and warming, served right before the meal. When the platters came out, I couldnt stop eating! My fiancé had the short rib platter and that was also delicious. Haven't had inasal since I visited Negros Occidental in May. This surely satisfied my cravings! The only difference I found from eating this meal at a street food stand in Negros was the lack of crushed garlic to add to my rice and the use of calamansi instead of lemon. After a long day at Disneyland, my friend reminded me of this place she saw on Instagram. We left DL and we got to the restaurant by 5ish. My friend and I were welcomed and told the staff that it was our first time. She told us the popular items so we ordered a Pork Skewer meal and a Chicken Inasal meal. We also ordered a Halo Halo, Taho and 3 Mini-Bibingkas. We ate our meals and for us, it was pretty good. The chicken was very tender and the pork skewers had a great flavor. We had the rest to go and ate some of it when we got home and the following morning. I appreciated the instructions of how to heat up their Taho which even Chowking doesn't even do. My husband found this place online and wanted to try it, and we did on a Tuesday. Parking was a little tight, busy plaza too. Anyway, once inside it is a small restaurant with a few tables. You go up the counter to order and pick your own table. Easy ordering but that's it. The food took about 25-30 minutes to come out, the chicken inasal meal was good but the chicken was thin, the pork bbq was great and the sauce that comes with it. When our food was delivered we told the server we're only missing the bibingkinitan, server told us you get that from counter, which we were not told that information when we ordered. Service did not pass expectations, food was good but nothing to rave about. The lady at the counter looks stressed and overworked. Unless they hire more people to get the food going faster or think of a way to cook it faster, we sadly don't see ourselves coming back often. read more

But unfortunately one of my orders of the chicken inasal only came with one piece when it should be two. I honestly feel they overcharge for what it is. The chicken was juicy and tender, but it lacked flavor (seasoning). No where near close to how our inasal is in the motherland, which was what I was expecting. We came into town to visit and saw that there was a Filipino BBQ spot. Let me tell you - the food here is amazing! We ordered the chicken and pork skewers, chicken inisal, and bibingkinatan. Everything from the Java rice to the meat was top tier! Including the sauce and achara (pickled papaya). The bibingkinatan was freshly baked when we got it. It's the perfect balance of sweet and savory. Very fluffy but still thick and filling. The ambiance reminds me of the motherland. It's very cozy with pictures on the walls and red and gold paint. All their food is made to order, so the meats are juicy and come out piping hot. They are also perfectly marinated and have that amazing char-grilled flavor. First off, being Filipino I'm always biased in my reviews towards other Filipino restaurants just to be transparent. We were excited coming from San Diego to Anaheim to check this place out since it showed up in my Instagram feed. Upon walking through the door, the place has a weird odor to it, my wife wanted to leave, but I talked to her to to try the food. The service was friendly, the atmosphere was very sub-par. The fact that you don't really even get napkins never sits well with me. We ordered the barbecue chicken skewers, and the pork belly barbecue. The flavor of the food was pretty good however, the quality is of the meats were very tough. The chicken skewers are so chewy that it felt like I was eating jerky. Also, the pork belly was so chewy that You can't really eat the whole thing. The edges are so crispy that they are almost rock hard. I really hate to leave a bad review on a small mom and Pops restaurant, but honestly for the price of the food that we paid. It definitely wasn't worth the price. In the past I've only had the bibingka and bbq skewers which are always delicious. This time I tried the tuna belly and bangus. Wow the bangus belly was a surprise, not salty at all, I liked the way this was cooked. Tuna belly was also really good. The bibingka pieces are huge and they come out hot. I ordered the Grilled Pork Combo: Rice, Atchara and soup, Taho and of course I have to try the mini Bibingka that are coming right out of the oven. My friend and I came for their grand opening today and everything we ordered was so so GOOD OMG!! The owners were so incredibly sweet and inviting and it gave such a homey vibe when we were eating there. We got their shrimp and chicken inasal meals and a bbq chicken and pork skewer. They really nailed the cooks on all of the proteins because they were all super juicy and tender! The dipping sauces that were included added additional layers of flavor and really tied everything together. The meals also came with a side of java rice and egg drop soup. We absolutely devoured all of our food and ended up with no leftovers. You also have to order some desserts when you visit! Their bibingkinitan was served warm and tasted so soft and fluffy. It gave sweet mochi cornbread vibes. The taho was also so addicting to eat. The tofu was so soft and was covered with bits of sago and brown sugar syrup.
