    Hot links, pulled pork, chicken

Great barbecue spot in North Orange County with ~8 picnic tables, open space, and music making it a family-friendly eatery. Our group of about 10 ordered family-style so we could sample a variety of items including the brisket, chicken, jalapeño hot link, pulled pork, cornbread, BBQ beans, summer salad, and mac and cheese. The standout dishes for me were the brisket which was incredibly tender, along with the cornbread and refreshing summer salad. The jalapeño cheese hot link was a bit disappointing as it was drier and more crumbly than expected. The mac and cheese also wasn't my favorite, as it reminded me a bit too much of boxed Kraft mac and cheese. The atmosphere is a major draw, especially for families with kids. Spacious outdoor setting and room for the kids to move around. There are no restrooms directly at the smokehouse, but guests can use the facilities at the nearby winery. Ample street parking available as well as a free parking structure nearby.

This spot hit the meat hunger good! I would get more ribs if first dish didn't already fulfilled me. I feel this place can have more to offer however what they bring sure does hit the spot. I say the service is fast and clean. And the place got enough space for a party.

If you love real barbecue, Evan's Smokehouse is one of those places you keep coming back to. The brisket is undeniable -- perfectly smoked, incredibly tender, and full of flavor. One of my favorite ways to order it is the Austin Midnight brisket sandwich, which is absolutely incredible. My personal go-to though is the Carolina Sandwich -- pulled pork, topped with homemade coleslaw on a brioche bun. Every Bite is amazing! The coleslaw is outstanding and balances the pulled pork perfectly. Honestly, all of the meats here are fantastic. The chicken is juicy and flavorful, and the house links have such a great balance of flavor with a little bit of heat. The sides are just as memorable. The mac and cheese is as creamy as it gets, the beans have incredible flavor, and the cornbread with green chiles is so delicious. But the potato salad is a must. I order the potato salad every single time I eat here. It's one of those sides that you start craving after you've had it once. And don't leave without dessert -- Chef Evan is a pastry chef on top of being an incredible pitmaster, and the Nana pudding is the perfect finish. Beyond the food, Evan is just a genuinely great human being who really cares about his craft and the people he serves. You can taste the care in the food and feel it in the atmosphere. I've also ordered catering from him and always feel incredibly taken care of. It's rare to find someone who puts this much heart into what they do.

I love this spot!! The food is always fresh and I've gone different times of the day and think oh today will be a miss but till this freaking day it always hits like how?! It's really good bbq quality. The sides are really good too, the chili brisket needs a bigger size cuz I could eat that all day long, the mac n cheese is really good too I like eating them together lol. Brisket is amazing, ribs are Amazing. Only thing I would like to see is bbq sauce on the side I like the taste of the meat without it being smothered, it's better as a dipping sauce. The area is clean and like a backyard scene, the cook and service is cool they be just ready to cook and serve in that spaceship lol. This place is a hidden gem! 8/10 What's it needs: Different or more dipping sauce options: Dijon mustard bbq, Spicy siracha bbq sauce, chipotle Smokey bbq sauce. I'm just throwing ideas out here. Bigger or more sizes for the sides Keep sauces as dipping sides and add salt and pepper before serving. These would make it a 10/10 as a fact not opinion.

I was roaming around this area on a Friday's night and remember I wanted to check this place out. I found this place on my ig. They are only open on Thursday through Sunday so don't drop by any other day. I arrived around 5 PM. There are a couple of parking and you walk over to the trailer and order your food. We got 1 lbs of brisket, potatoes salad, and a pastrami sandwich. We thought the potatoes salad and the sandwich were okay. I feel like the Dijon mustard overpowered everything. Okay, so the star of the show is the brisket and this meat was smoke so well. The brisket was so tender with the perfect amount of fat. It was delicious. I am ready to go back and order this again and for everyone I know. Well done! It is like what you would get in Texas! They offer a couple of tables to eat or you can take your order to go. There are also restroom available at the bar next door. I think it was a bar. Overall, come here for the brisket!!!

If you love real, smoky, slow-cooked BBQ, this place is a standout in Yorba Linda. I went here knowing it gets great buzz, and it lived up to it the brisket, pulled pork, and ribs are all tender and flavorful, with that classic smoke taste that BBQ fans look for. The outdoor, backyard-style seating gives it a relaxed, community feel where you can really take your time enjoying the food. The sides especially the cornbread and mac 'n' cheese pair perfectly with the meats, and the staff is friendly and eager to help you figure out what to try. On weekend nights they've got a fun vibe with a casual crowd and good energy. My only small note is that some items can run out toward the end of the night if you come late, so getting there earlier in the evening helps ensure you get everything you want.

I love barbecue so I was so excited to see that this place was rated highly and in Orange County! This barbecue truck is a cute and casual vibe, with a large turf and picnic benches for seating. There was little wait on a Saturday evening, so we ordered the ribs, brisket, cornbread, potato salad, and coleslaw. The brisket was INSANE--I honestly think the best I've ever had. Ribs were great too, as was the cornbread. I think the other two sides were a bit mayo-heavy but had great flavor. Will definitely be back!

Better than any bbq I've had while living Texas, hands down. The owner (Evan) is a class act and does awesome catering too!! I can't recommend this place enough

    The Winery next door does

Is there a bathroom and wash area for hands on the property at the smoking site? Thanks, would like a current 2025 update.

Hello! And yes, located at The Winery next door. They also provide indoor seating.

    Is this place outside only?

    yup.

Do you have high chairs for babies/ toddlers?

No we do not at this time. :)

    Do they sell gift cards?

    Yes!

    Is it dog friendly?

    Yes!

Do they sell beer or wine? Can you take your own beer or wine?

Not yet - they have applied for a license, but the process takes a long time.

I want to try their beef ribs. How do I find out when they are offered?

We will start offering beef ribs when we build out the lot. Probably beginning of 2020

What is your actual hours? Yelp says 4-9pm Friday-Sunday, other posted picture 4-9pm Friday-Saturday, 12-9pm Sunday

When we walked in, there wasn't a host or greeter at the front stand. Instead, the bartender YELLED across the restaurant TWICE to get our attention and then yelled at us again for us to "sit anywhere". I wanted to sit outside to enjoy the summer weather, but after seeing the lack of staff, we sat in direct view of the front desk and general path of travel. Even then we had to repeatedly ask for our drinks. Service was slow, disorganized and the staff just walked around without urgency. I'd love to say the food made it better, but that wasn't the case. The smoked rib tips arrived so dry that they were practically beef jerky. They tasted like they had been reheated in a microwave. Our son ordered wings with buffalo sauce and they came out bone dry without the sauce. We alerted a random waitress because ours was nowhere to be found and she took them back to be coated. It literally took 20 minutes to have them back. I mean, what the heck are the kitchen people doing?!! Lastly, they no longer serve potato salad.... I loved their potato salad! Ugh! Safe to say we will not be returning...ever!

Review 65/365 Day Challenge…read more I'm not a yelper that usually leave a negative review unless it's really terrible and a 1 star but Lucille's not just myself was dissatisfied it was my whole entire family. They all decided that we're taking Lucille's out of our family dinner list. We usually frequent Lucille's since my son loves bbq ribs and we'd come here for a celebration. Like for this Tuesday evening we came to celebrate my bro in law n my son's bday. Duo celebration. If you look at my review from 4 years ago, 5 stars and i haven't updated since because it's usually been pretty good each time returning that there was no need to update it. But this experience we had this past week was really bad that we've decided that we likely will be stop coming to our local Lucille's. Read other reviews on here that aren't left a while back and looks like they've also mention how Lucille's quality along as service has gone down tremendously a lot. When we were seated, we didn't get any assistance from a server til 10 mins plus. We had to ask the associate that was wiping down tables if he was covering our area to get some assistance. He informed us that our server should be right over. Our fountain drinks that we ordered Sprite, Dr Pepper and sweet tea tasted off. There was barely any carbonation nor did the sweet tea had any sweetening to the tea we loved here. We informed our server and she told the manager gal. The manager came and spoke to us 5 mins later and confirmed to us she noticed the fountain drinks were off and was having an associate replace the fountain drinks machine but meanwhile offered if we can get another drink in the time being without no charge so we may enjoy something with our meals. We took the offer n got a strawberry lemonade along w a peach lemonade also while waiting for the replacement soda. My kids weren't too much of a fan of lemonade but tried their best to enjoy the lemonade. About 20 mins to half n hour later. The manager did see us and came back to ask how our replacement soda tasted and we informed her we never got our replacement soda. She let an associate know and we finally got our replacement soda. But by then, we were about done w our meals and was pretty full. Ask an associate that is now no longer our original server but a server that was just bringing our food and drinks to us. A to go cup so we can just take our replacement soda to go. We never got out to go cup. Either they were short staffed that evening or associates just wasn't happy being there. Because when we asked for Togo containers too. It took some time to get it. Please Lucille's management, if you see this review. Look into your staffs. The restaurant is clean it's just there are some etiquettes that need to be going over. A BIG HUGE READ FLAG. Why would an associate be SWEEPING RIGHT NEXT TO A TABLE THAT IS CURRENTLY TRYING TO ENJOY THEIR DINNER. Where do you think sweeping the floor. The dust particles up in the air would go to. It'll be flying around where we are digesting our food. This is something no one would enjoy seeing when eating. Not sure if the associate didn't have a clue regards to this. ITS POOR HYGIENE for a restaurant industry. I was feeling under the weather along there was no upper management nor much associate to even let them know what we were dealing with. With all of the ordeal and mishap. If you look at my review b4 this. We've got a complimentary bday celebration dessert but this time. We just wanted to be done. Didn't even bother doing our annual bday celebration there that my son enjoys with his uncle for their bday celebration tradition. We still left a 16% tip because we know how things are with possibly server just being low staffed. Because we saw our original server Alyssa at the end b4 leaving the restaurant. She was able to give us a set of Togo boxes. Told us she apologized she couldn't continue serving us because she had a bigger party of 15 to attend to. That would've been great to know b4 she left our table to serve the other table so we weren't turning our head constantly trying to find any service from anyone. We just decided to pay on the tablet. By than didn't want to deal with anyone and wanted to leave asap. Since that was the only service that can help us pay for our bill. Please LUCILLES...DO BETTER!
