The service is absolutely horrible. 12/17/2025 8:49pm name Nova L. First stated as we went out of the door as purchasing the pizzas and he stated that the pizzas came out like that, and best they can do and unfortunately that's how the dough is at this time. We did not know until we came home that this entire order is uncooked. Once you bite into it and the taste and all and immediately you can tell it's uncooked. The dough is wet and mushy and chicken is like rubber, even the cheese bread was uncooked. I'm highly ticked. I just came out of the hospital recently from food poisoning and bacteria from it due to antibiotics as I'm recovering. Now we run into this situation. So the store was closing since it takes us 20 minutes to get home. So today we called the store, the person answering the phone is claiming as the manager. Giving us some email to contact the store owner named Patrick but the email sounds bogus and of course no response. We still have the food and only took a bite and have the receipt and the guy claiming the manager is saying nothing he will do. So he is refusing to refund our money or even do manager duties since he says he is a manager. I told him he is on a recorded line and still refusing to remake the order, and refusing to refund us and we got the uncooked food and out of the money. His words as manager that he cannot review an order the day before but only the store owner can do that then what the heck do you do as a manager because I call BS and we all know managers can review, refund and handle scheduling as well as handling replacement on bad food. This is fraud plus now since the line is crossed with the disrespect and treating us like crap. I want health and safety as food inspectors to investigate this and test the food order we received because not only we got bad service and a dck acting as a manager saying we can't do anything but out of the money on our order and have evidence in hand of uncooked food. I want this business fined or closed since it's insanitory to serve uncooked food. If the service was responsible and respectful and had dignity they messed up an order then maybe things would have been different but this is fraud as taking money and this is horrible service as serving uncooked food and they need to be shutdown. My wife and I used to pick hungry howies over any other pizza but never again will we get pizza from hungry howies again. Never been here. We got coupons delivered to our house because we're right around the corner so we definitely wanted to it. Looked on their website then downloaded the app, saw they had a chicken and waffle pizza. My husband wanted to try it but we couldn't order it online or on the app so we called and they said they don't make that pizza anymore...okay! Found something else. I go to their "Secret Menu" and ordered a chicken pickle bacon ranch pizza. I have been ordering takeout from this store for years. In the past they were great. I told others that they had the best pizza in town. No more. The pizza I ordered tonight had very little tomato sauce. The pepperoni and black olives were not exactly plentiful since some slices did not have any at all. Also, I specified well done, and it was not well done. Things like this never happened in previous years. This was not the first time that my order was unsatisfactory. A couple of weeks ago I ordered a large pepperoni pizza. I never checked the order at the store because there was never a problem before. When I got home, I discovered that there was no pepperoni. 1 Star! Not good, in fact, terrible. Nightmare experience at hungry howies. The date was Friday, 11/15/2024. I ordered 1 large pepperoni, and 1 small personal pizza. I placed my order online at 5:10pm, I waited about 20 minutes to go pick up my order, when I arrived the lobby was packed. I did not recieve my order until almost 6:30pm. However, during my time in the lobby was absolutely the worst experience I had ever had at any dining establishment in my entire life. While in the lobby, I could hear constant orders ringing into the kitchen, with only 1 Employee making the pizzas on a Friday night! Ha, what a joke. 1 employee making pizzas....at a pizza establishment...yeah, genius idea, right? However, there were two other employees in the back with the employee making pizza, however who knows what they were doing because they would pop in and out, as we are able to hear what's going on in the back quite well since it is a small building. The young lady on shift who supposedly is the manager asks the gentleman working on pizza if he's doing okay, in which he responds telling her NO! Really stupid question of her to ask, then she starts to get mad at him for " burning the pizzas" well, maybe he wouldn't be burning the pizzas if he had help! Anyways, the young lady proceeds to yell at the gentleman to " Stay at your station, I'll stay at mine. DONT FUCKING MOVE TO ANOTHER STATION" They then begin to start slamming everything around in the kitchen, creating a lot of tension for all of us guests in the lobby because we can CLEARLY hear everything. They then began to argue about who is going to help the customers in the lobby. Finally, the lady sends the gentleman to the front to attend us, on which another customer who had been waiting a long time and was asking about where his order is and no one knew. Finally they piece together his order, however it was made incorrectly and the customer wanted it to be remade properly. However, the customer was so upset at that point he asked to speak to the manager. The gentleman goes in the back and retrieves the manager, who is the woman that was arguing in the back. She comes out, and the customer was asking why no one was answering the phone and why was his order taking long, etc. The customer asked with an annoyed tone, which is understandable, however the " manager". then responds by raising her voice saying " WELL MAYBE BECAUSE WE ARE BUSY!"WE ARE 50 Orders Behind!!!" The customer cuts her off saying that he is aware and understands however, he wants the situation to be fixed. she agrees and goes to the back. I was so shocked to see her yell at the customer, because the customer was not being rude at all, and yes we all know you are busy! How hard is it to say " Im sorry sir, we are understaffed and doing our best. I will fix that for you just please give us a moment. Thank you for waiting" And we all know she was lying because aint no way you're 50 orders behind. Anyways the customer leaves letting the employees know that he will be filing a complaint to corporate. After everyone left a different employee comes out to the front and says " BItch the fuck, man we should have made him wait for his order even longer. Next time he comes in we are going to make him wait even more." I am still waiting for my pizza at this point, and I did not feel comfortable asking the employees for a refund, due to how I saw them treat the customers and each other. So, I waited. The best part of this is, when I got my Pizza...It was burnt! Ha, oh man... I did not ask them to remake It as I just wanted to go home at that point. Jesus Christ. read more

Hubby was excited (said that this joint is known for having many numerous flavors of crust) that this place took over the former pizza place's location near Smith shopping center (Buffalo/ Flamingo). So, yes, it is convenient. It is also inexpensive for family pizza night. It is a takeout place. Specials are online and nearby residents get mailers, of course. There are special designated parking spots in the front for pickup orders. No issues at pickup, either. We got a large pizza. I think that it was under $10.00. We each (three in our family) had two slices and I think that there were two slices remaining. It was good. It was cheesy. I like to use a napkin to soak up the excess grease. The crust was also flavorful. My loves liked it, of course. (I would say it is a step above Little Caesars with Domino's at the top, then, Pizza Hut in second place- but this is my opinion. For sit-down, we prefer Grimaldi's, Round Table, then Metro Pizza.) Our son's school had a fundraiser there last week (the last week of school). Well to my pleasant surprise a new Pizza location opened up what seemed to be overnight. Evidently Hungry Howie's is well-known to some and not others. I for one I've never heard of this brand so I was eager to try something new. I went in and gazed around the quaint little pizza store and was met with bright yellow.....everything! But looking at the menu I was shocked to see how reasonable the pricing was and just how many real deals they had and by "Real Deals" I mean something that a normal person would consider a deal (not a corporation). While reading the menu I noticed they had several different flavors of crust you could choose for your pizza which I thought was totally amazing so I opted for the "butter cheese " flavor. This wasn't the only different and out of the ordinary menu item though, I found they had a lot of menu items that a lot of the neighboring competitors do not..... since I don't like spoiler alerts I'm not going to give any of that away you'll just have to go in yourself and look. Let's talk about one last thing, the most important thing which was the pizza itself. The short version of it it's one of the better pizzas Ive had in a long time. No doubt in my mind I'll be back.... this might be a dangerous thing for me considering the pizza is ready in a Flash. I'd say most pizza places do not have it this quickly. My family lives near this location. We love the pizza but the service is horrible. Called and asked about deals and the girl answering the phone refused to help me. saying they had no deals. When I explained to her that I usually use a deal from the app if I could use it she was very rude and told me do it myself. When I asked to speak to someone else she said she was the only one working there. When I asked for her name she said she already put her two weeks in. What a disappointment. We're so frustrated with the service by 2 employees. I ordered a gluten free pizza because I have a gluten allergy and get very sick if I eat regular dough pizza. I specifically order gluten free every time.
