A hidden gem in the valley! I've been going to this place for years and it never disappoints. The owner is the very nice and cooks up the best teriyaki bowls! I called 5 mins prior to closing and he was happy to still take my order! I suggest calling ahead of time and placing an order as he makes them fresh and it can get busy!

My girlfriend told me about Hungry Ninja in Chatsworth so we decided to check it out on Labor Day weekend. The outside of the retail strip mall is not the most appealing, and the inside of this restaurant is very simplistic and minimalistic. You are greeted right away by the super friendly older Asian gentleman who welcomes you in with his infectious smile. A fairly straightforward menu of various bowls, plates and hot dogs, on this particular visit I was improved to go with a Regular-sized Chicken and Shrimp plate which came fully loaded on a bed of rice, with vegetables and a super delicious teriyaki sauce. This gentleman prepares your order right in front of you on a teppanyaki grill and you are hot with some tasty aromas of freshly prepared items. A few minutes later, my Regular #2 plate was prepared and presented to me. I must say, the portion size was quite large and delicious. For under $15, you can get some high quality ingredients made fresh. I liked the flavors and the friendly factor of the owner, which basically made up the bulk of my rating. There are no public restrooms for customers. Great for a quick lunch or dinner or grab and go option, Hungry Ninja Chatsworth delivers on a lot of teppanyaki goodness, with a friendly demeanor that makes you want to give them your repeat business.

Stopped by before I went to work for the evening and was looking to try something new. I've seen this place multiple times driving to work and have been wanting to try it. Today, I was finally able to try it and it was so empty unfortunately because this place deserves more business. So I ordered a chicken and been teriyaki plate without the vegetables and a Korean corn dog on the side. Honestly this place was pretty good overall, you get so much food for the price point that you're paying at. The inside the restaurant is an open space that has plenty of options to sit and enjoy your food

I got the #6, teriyaki chicken & beef and it was amazing!!! I've probably passed by this place hundreds of times and finally decided to give it a try today. The older gentleman was great and very professional. Food portions are BIG! I barely finished my regular sized plate. They also have a larger plate. The dining area is also clean which is a plus. 10/10 will be back here again with the family.

1.5/5 rating because it wasn't spicy like I requested. Asked two times and 21 days ago he forgot & now again I was disappointed. Barely any rice and veggies were non existent. It had no flavor at all. Check my ratings over and over I've wrote only nice things but the winning streak is no more. 9th of June 2025 my last time here. - 10th of June 2025 I've been feeling very active as a result from food: I think food poisoning is involved with my decision to eat here on the 9th.

First time here and I can't believe it took me so long to come check this out. This was in the same plaza as my vet the whole time. I mean the name itself is awesome. How can you not be drawn in from that? I got a large chicken and a large beef and pineapple. I like pineapples on my pizza so I will definitely like it with my beef teriyaki. First thing I noticed was that the to go boxes were heavy. It was packed. The portion sizes here lives up to the name Hungry Ninja. A large order can definitely feed 2 and some lil kids. The prices seem high but the portion size makes up for it so it's a great value. Both orders were delicious. Added some Sriracha sauce to give it a lil kick. As others have mentioned it takes about 5 mins to cook. Next time, I'm gonna try some Korean fried chicken and my kids will definitely go for the Korean hot dogs. I will definitely be back a lot! Try them out.

The food wasn't too bad, just standard chicken and rice with sauce on it. There was a nice long peice of hair nixed with the chicken.

Chefs are hard working and do an incredible job of putting out delicious sushi/dishes. Everything is fresh and flavorful! Unfortunately, while the food was prepared traditionally, the overall execution was just average. The salad was heavily dressed, which overpowered the fresh ingredients. The aji nigiri lacked the delicate flavor and freshness I usually expect from quality Japanese sushi. The tempura was also disappointing, as it wasn't light and crispy the way authentic Japanese restaurants typically serve it. Most of the dishes were simply okay, and the steak was noticeably tough and difficult to chew. What stood out most was the service. The staff was attentive, professional, and genuinely welcoming throughout the meal. Their excellent hospitality made the dining experience more enjoyable despite the food falling short of expectations. Overall, this is a restaurant with authentic Japanese roots and outstanding service, but the food itself was average and did not quite deliver the refined flavors and textures I was hoping for.

On top of that, I was still charged for it without any clarification beforehand. Transparency goes a long way, especially when making substitutions. It depends what you are in the mood for, and if you are not picky, you will find it, or something close to it, at this place. I come here to eat the basics, fresh fish, preferably sashimi style. Generally always start with their miso soup. Here it is priced at $2, is served piping hot (just the way I like it), has high quality and hits all the right notes to satisfy the nose and palate. For me, this sets the tone for lunch or dinner. This time it was the latter and I was in the mood for sashimi (of course), but also for a salad. So I selected a hybrid, the Sashimi Salad (3 pcs tuna, 2 pcs each of salmon, yellowtail, albacore, and 1 pce shrimp on top of mixed greens with soy mustard dressing). While the fish cuts were small, they were soft, had texture and hugged the tongue well while eating. I asked for the dressing on the side. For me this is important, because eateries tend to soak salads in dressing and mask the real taste and diversity of the dish. Ginger (not over pickled) and wasabi is complementary and I went through two portions of Ginger fast, and requested more. For the third time, they brought it in a small packed crucible. LOL. They made me real happy. Another wonderful visit to have sashimi at Tomodachi, in Porter Ranch.

After looking into it, I learned that these decorative flowers are typically not meant to be eaten and may even contain chemicals. No restaurant staff member should ever tell someone else's child that it's okay to eat something from the table without checking with the parent first. That is completely inappropriate and unacceptable. Overall, this was a very disappointing and unprofessional experience.
