Good spot for sushi in the valley, especially with their all day everyday happy hour. I stopped by for a quick dinner with a friend Friday evening around 6 pm and it wasn't crowded at all when we arrived. However, it quickly filled up over the course of the hour we were here. It's not a large place, with 7 booths and a couple of counter seats. They have their regular menu and a happy hour menu. I asked our server and she said the happy hour menu is offered all the time, so I guess it's not really a happy hour at that point but a fixed part of their regular offerings. We ordered exclusively off the happy hour menu by writing on the menu they gave us and got the following: egg roll ($6 hh) sesame chicken ($7.50 hh) salmon carpaccio ($12.50 hh) yellowtail scallion roll ($9.50 hh) beach salmon roll ($14.95 hh) rainbow roll ($14.95 hh) Yes the happy hour prices are good, but I found the fish slices on the rolls to be some of the thinnest I've ever had. You get what you pay for, I guess. However, it's hard to find sushi rolls at this price point these days, so it's better than paying 20 bucks for a similar roll. The salmon carpaccio is not worth it, as you get 5 small and thin slices of salmon for the price. The egg roll and sesame chicken were both solid. They are generous with the chicken and it was a lot more than we expected. However, it is completely bland so you have to dip it in the sweet sauce for flavor. read more

This place is okay. I've had better sushi happy hours, fish is decently fresh. I did order the heart attack which is supposed to have crab meat & spicy tuna and it didn't have any spicy tuna. I've never been to Japan but I can imagine this shop embodies the ambiance of visiting Japan. As soon as we walked in it was a low key cozy type of vibe, and we were greeted by a super nice lady she was great! Like the definition of customer service is her!! Anyway we sat down and their menus are basically how we order we are handed this market and I thought it was the coolest thing ever haha, we ordered so many things it was hard to keep up with pictures. First off, happy hour prices all day on certain items on weekdays! Started off with a hot sake and some appetizers. Got the sesame chicken which was good but not what I was expecting - this was simply popcorn chicken with a sweet and sour dipping sauce. Loved the soft shell crab though, perfectly fried and juicy. Also got the salmon skin salad - huge portion and definitely shareable and was very good (they did not skimp on the salmon skin). Salmon skin roll, heart attack roll, and the dragon rolls were all very good. Service was fast and our waitress was very friendly. I came here on a Friday night. It wasn't too busy and we got sat towards the back near the bar. The place is very small only a few tables. Not sure if this is due to covid or if it has always been like that. I like how small it is though and parking was super easy. Our waiter was really nice and kept checking on us. We felt like we were never waiting on anything like sauce, ginger, or napkins. Best service we had received in a while. The food itself beat our expectations. We had judged the place by it's décor, location and the number of people dining in. We tried the albacore sashimi as well as the yellow tail one. They were both very delicious and the fish was big. Baked muscles were my favorite. Packed with flavor I would get them again Desoto roll was also very good I recommend it also.
