I went with the Khmae which was Robusto coffee and condensed milk. It was absolutely perfect with that blend of flavor and sweetness you would expect of a Vietnamese style coffee. Didn't get food but I could smell them cooking fresh and great to see the options available for those on SNAP as a way to give back to the community.

I didn't care for anything here except something called the "Triple" baked bun with was three separate baked buns stuck together with custard, taro and red bean filling. The baked buns are displayed on a rolling bakery cart with each group of buns labeled accordingly. There was a great variety of baked buns that included taro, tuna, hotdog, pork, and one that I've never seen before, "Steak & Cheese." We had to get one to try. Prices were a little higher than the usual Chinatown fare at $1.50 or $ 1.75 for most of the baked buns. My husband and I split a regular steamed pork bun that was filled with the usual pork filling, hard boiled egg and Chinese sausage that is common among all baos. I'm not sure if it's because we were already ravenous, but the pork bao was pretty good. I'd definitely get another one. Hunter's Cafe is a HIDDEN GEM! Fantastic food, terrific service, priced right and FAMILY run! The owner is a gem in her own right. Super friendly (as well as her staff - family), engaging, and eager to please! I have only eaten breakfast here but my good friend has eaten lunch at Hunter's several times and has always been very pleased! They have just started making muffins. Yesterday they had Blueberry and Banana Nut ... to die for! They are adding/rotating more varieties and the next one is Chocolate Chocolate Chip! Oh my! Hunters cafe is an amazing family restaurant we found in google and decided to see how it is. I am so glad we did, this is now our breakfast spot every Sunday. Everyone at Hunters has made us feel very welcome and they treat my grandchildren's strange appetites amazingly. We will be coming to Hunters every Sunday as long as they are open.
