Went out to buy a Lincoln MKX last Saturday based on a car we saw advertised on the internet. The salesman showed us the car and as I walked around the vehicle, it had a "Sold" sign on it. We looked at other vehicles but nothing was in our price range. As we were leaving, we saw another vehicle parked in the customer parking, that really caught our eye. Turns out that it was for sale. We asked on what the "final" price would be... and the salesman went inside to ask his manager. He came back and told use the price, so we made a reasonable offer and he went back inside to ask his sales manager. When he came out, the car actually went UP by approximately $1500 for dealer prep and fees. In all my years of driving and buying vehicles, I have never had the price of a car go UP during negotiations! Wasn't interested in the dealer prep and basically said I wasn't paying for it. By the time we finally finished the deal and the paperwork, it was nearly closing time. They washed the vehicle and gave us the paperwork as we were leaving. I drove the car we came in and my wife drove the new car. When we got home, I went through the paperwork and was wondering where the 2nd key FOB was? We called the dealership the next morning and were told that there wasn't one. They could get us a 2nd one but it would be at our cost. I was confused, because I have never heard of a dealership not providing a 2nd key / car FOB for a vehicle. To make matters worse, they refused to credit us for it, claiming the pre-COVID cost they spent obtaining the vehicle was resulting in them already losing on the car. I told them they should have told us that there was no second key rather than having us find out for ourselves after we left. Their response? "Well, you didn't ask". That's true... I also didn't ask if the seatbelts work, if the engine had oil .. or if the emergency lights worked. So to top off their "wonderful" customer service, they were ok with fighting us over a few hundred dollars for the 2nd FOB. Huntley Ford's logo is a polar bear and their motto is "YOU'LL BE TREATED FAIR WHEN YOU SEE THE BEAR". Uh, not really... couldn't have been farther from the truth! It is stressful enough to buy a new car, but this place was a nightmare. We walked away jaded by this dealership.. as they were the epitome of "used car salesmen" in how they run their business and with regard to the customer experience. There are a lot of wonderful dealerships out there, and this isn't one of them... but we loved this particular car, so we went ahead with the purchase. My advice... is to read the reviews... and shop elsewhere. read more

THE WORST!!! Husband and I went to look at a used VW Atlas with 227 miles at Huntley Ford priced $49K. We called ahead and the dealer told us they had the car and we drove over an hour to get there. The sales guy (about 20 yrs old) shows us the car online and we notice it has 2 service records. When we asked about this he quickly said oh those are just oil changes and did not open the service records to show us. What car gets 2 oil changes in 227 miles? (lie #1) Then he tells us it has no warranty! 227 miles and no warranty! He then says it is because it came from Canada and they cannot transfer the warranty from Canada (lie #2). Then tells us the car is priced lower as it has no warranty and getting a car from Canada is better than US (lie #3). Seriously? They are all made in TN, USA. The young sales guy was going back and forth talking to the General Manager so these lies are coming from the top. We immediately walked out without even looking at the car. We researched the car more deeply online and found the car failed the safety inspection in Canada and the vehicle was declared "UNSAFE". These no integrity, slimy, a-holes at Huntley Ford will sell this car with as many lies as it takes waiting for someone stupid enough to believe their BS. NEVER buy a car from this horrible dealer. BUYER BEWARE. DO NOT DO BUSINESS HERE. long story short, I brought in a vehicle to trade in on one of their f150s. They offered me 39,000 for my trade in which was $10,000 lower than their own website estimate as well as an appraisal from another dealer. I negotiated them back up to giving me the $49,000 it was worth, so I thought. What I did not realize, was that they just made up $5,000 in bs fees and an illegitimate "certification" for another $5000 dollars. They did all of this to cover the extra money they "gave me" for my trade. They deceitfully had me sign only the last pages of all documents, gave me no bill of sale, and put all of the documents on a flash drive so I could not see them until I got home. I had to go back the next day and return the vehicle. After 2 hours of arguing with with the salesman Joon and their various managers, I went back home in my old vehicle. They refused to own up to what they did, and were very condescending. On top of this, I forgot my iPass in their vehicle, and they have racked up $40 in tolls before I reported it stolen. So disappointed! Very unethical practices!After much research we went to Huntley Ford to test drive and possibly buy a vehicle. We liked the truck and were ready to buy. We agreed on price but due to COVID-19 and a long wait in the finance department we left with assurance we had our purchase price locked in and hoped to buy the truck the next day - we understood that if someone else looked and bought the vehicle we were out of luck! However no one did but next day new salesperson new price and lo and behold the certified pre owned vehicle we had test driven and had wanted to buy was no longer pre-certified unless we paid $600 more than we had originally agreed upon! I never give reviews but buyer beware worst experience I've ever had. They refused to put anything in writing. At one point I had two pieces of paper with multiple prices that they couldn't explain. They tried to bury gap insurance and a warranty in the interest rate without telling me I was going to buy a 24k vehicle and after all the fees they wanted me to finance 32k worth. The car they said was clean and ready for a test drive had garbage and pop stains all over the car. At one point I wanted to leave and they told me I couldn't because the still have my credit card and wouldn't give it back. I wouldn't recommend this sales group to my worst enemy. read more

Initial buying process went pretty smoothly but all things after have been terrible. I needed a loaner car so they could do work on the car I just bought and when they gave me the car there was only 22 miles to empty. I brought this up to my salesman, Tom Coffaro, he stated "I'm sorry, I didn't know. That's not my job." It's not my job either. He asked to put $20. in the tank and bring back the receipt for reimbursement. Also, the day I bought the car I told them I wanted another key fob and Tom told me they would get it for me under my warranty. After several unanswered texts/calls to Tom and me talking to Mackenzie, Jay, and others at the dealership, they told me that is not how they run their business and someone would talk to Tom and have him get back to me. I still have not received any call back or been reimbursed for the gas I put in the tank. It's not about the money it's about being dishonest and not honoring your word. read more

Our Experience - Finance manager showed us sales contract on computer display and all was as agreed. He turned the display, typed a few things and handed us the signature pad. No contract provided as this would come from Ford Credit. WOW! surprised to learn they added $4K extended warranty without our consent. To get us better interest rate the finance manager later said, and apologized he did not tell us. We were disappointed. read more

If I could give Huntley Ford zero stars I will! I am baffled by how dirty they do people! I really wish I would've have looked into reading their reviews before even going there or I would not have waisted my time! It wasn't until they screwed me over that I panicked and looked at their reviews! Turns out everyone has issues with them! I can't stress this enough this place is a SCAM SCAM SCAM! I am currently stiff with a super high car loan thanks for Sayfe the finical advisor lying to me and screwing me over. I filed and EO complaint through my loan lenders but bc Huntley Ford showed proof of me signing documents they can't do anything. Looking at the documents I received from my bank, made me look back at the email of my documentation's I received from vlad who was kind enough to send them too me after I have tried for weeks to get ahold of Sayfe, and I am just now realizing they somehow managed to forage my signature over all the documents (both ones I did and didn't sign) to make it match! They didn't even finish my entire name spelling and it looks so similar to Sayfes signature or initials. I now have to hire an attorney to deal with this because they are shady people and won't help. When Sayfe had me sign documents he had me sign the very last page or every documents I never saw a single number and when I asked about then he told me and I trusted his word. Very aggressive and pushy concierge workers to set up appointments only not to answer questions even though they lie about their title saying their managers and salesmen, they're not ! Set up appointments just to get there and still wait a half hour for the vehicle to be pulled up from just across the street they don't Service or clean these vehicles when on the lot so they show you the dirty used look of a vehicle when your suppose to be looked at a pre owned vehicle in nice shape . They lie about all the prices don't haggle and try killing you with extra charges because they can't stick you with a massive interest rate that they would love to do ! Worthless workers and staff In building. Been in here multiple times and see 10 salesmen sitting at the front door managers all just walking around having fun getting nothing done surprises me they can sell any vehicles out of a joke establishment as such as huntley ford ! This dealership has very very poor service skills. From the moment I called my experience Was negative. I was inquiring about a specific vehicle and the sales representative Carina, had this attitude as if I were annoying her with my questions. Long story short they forced me into coming to the dealership and setting up an appointment Because they refused to do business over the phone. I am an emergency medical laboratory scientist that works with covid patients on a daily basis and am trying to have as little contact with people as possible for their safety and mine. I also live over 50 miles away but was told we can make a deal and must come in. I get there the car was not ready to be shown nobody is wearing a mask and we must wait for them to find the vehicle and pull it around. why did I make an appointment? The sales associate Peter took a call in the middle of our appointment directly in front of us and told us to wait. We took the vehicle for a short drive to come back to the office where our sales rep and another colleague were sitting back congregating In our office. I ended up walking away over a $3000 difference and they lost over a $31,000 sale. We left and on the way home realized they didn't give me back my debit card. BE PREPARED TO PLAY THE OLD SALESMAN GAMES! If you're looking to purchase a car from this dealership but would like to have your questions regarding rebate incentives or financing answered ahead of time, be prepared to have them answered only after you step foot in the dealership and not answered over the phone. The online sales manager, Jay, does not take the current COVID 19 situation seriously and flat out refuses to discuss incentives and/or financing options with me over the phone, instead deflecting my questions saying I have to come in to discuss. Doesn't matter how far you live from there dealership, if you have concerns with bringing your family out of the house and potentially exposing them to the virus, Jay will not discuss anything related to the price of the vehicle unless you come into their dealership and play their games. He wouldn't even take my questions down and get back to me with the answers. Questions like "does Ford Manufacturer Rebate X apply to the purchase of vehicle Y?" or "what financing options are available to me and do the rebates you advertise still apply if I finance?" Why? Why do you refuse to answer the simplest questions over the phone and instead insist I come in to talk, potentially exposing myself or my family to this deadly disease? To be honest, after reading some of the recent comments on the new ownership and sale staff here, I'm not convinced coming into the dealership would have been worth my time anyways. read more

Horrible customer service. I'm okay with spending more to get Ford dealership professionalism, and Huntley had the exact vehicle with the options I was looking for. However, Ford should be embarrassed to allow Huntley the use of the Ford oval. My salesperson (Adrian Sanchez) would only text message pre-purchase details, making it nearly impossible to get my own financing with purchase agreement screen shots he sent me. I agreed up front to pay Huntley's advertised price and took $4k less for my trade in than offered by my local Lincoln dealer. During the final paperwork, Adrian added $2k more to the price claiming a $1,200 vehicle theft insurance, $600 undercoating, and $200 tire nitrogen was a Huntley special requirement. Stupid me, I should have run, but paid 1/2 ($1,000). After the sale, multiple calls/texts to Adrian's mobile for the status of my title transfer were unanswered. 5 weeks later Deanna Konozsi (the licensed dealer) sent me a $212 check with the signed Ford title and Huntley's Tax Transaction statement. Presumably, I had to transfer my own title that I paid Huntley to do. The Huntley receptionist promised me Deanna Konozsi would call be back to explain, but she never did. read more

I wish I read the reviews here before we wasted our time at this place. We first sent an email inquiring about a 2020 explorer. Took about 2 days to get an answer. Then when we emailed them back answering their questions, we got another email from someone different. Then we received 2 phone calls. Both from different people. At this point we didn't know who we were supposed to be talking to. We decided to go in and look at it because we were to confused by all of the communication. We pulled up and shouldn't have gotten out of the car. I'd say about 6 or so employees were standing around talking outside INFRONT of the front doors. As soon as we stepped out of the car, we were approached. Which I hate! We said we were here to see so and so (I can't remember her name at the moment). He said "ok" and brought us to HIS office. When I questioned who the lady was he basically said it was an answering system. Inside the dealership was outdated, dirty and smelly. Like you could smell what everyone had for lunch. Not to mention their music was blaring and it sounded like a party. It had a used car dealership feel. When they brought the car around to the front for us to look at, their was a huge dent in the side and the car was FILTHY. I'm not sure the last time is was cleaned! Like another review said, they had no precautions for COVID. They manager who came and sat down to talk with us wasn't wearing a mask. Needless to say, it was a very unpleasant experience and we felt the need to go home and take a shower. I hope they are able to turn this place around sometime. VERY questionable business practices. Illinois Dept. of Commerce will be made aware. A mainstream dealer ship conducting bait & switch - beware! Impossible to buy at the advertised price, instead the 'salesperson' insist you come to the store to finalize the deal, relying on the human nature of once being there a customer is more likely to not walk away, having paid more than the advertised price, be it in either administrative fees etc. Advertised price was right on the vehicle which led me to them in the first place, but would not do a deal over the phone or internet as i'm a distance away and would not travel hours on a whim. Gary the internet sales manager and Victoria a supervisor (?) were both condescending and wont listen, this must be the culture and result of how they are trained. Huntley Ford (The old Tom Peck Ford) was where I went to purchase the lease on my F150. This was in February 2020. I wanted to pay cash, but the finance guy said I couldn't. He said it would cost more. He said take the loan and pay it off later. So I did and paid it off a month later. I believe he directed me that way because they make $$ on writing loans. That's my take. Anyway, in August I cancelled my Ford ESP that was strongly suggested I get when I bought the vehicle. I took it because I knew I could search around for a better, non-third party ESP, later, and cancel the Ford ESP. Well, on Wednesday 8/12/20 I went in and handed a letter of Cancelation to the finance guy. He at first said it's about a month's process and there may be a service fee. I had not used the ESP at all at this point. About an hour after leaving the finance guy calls and says he could have a check in the mail by the weekend for the full amount. I'm thinking Great! As of Tuesday the next week, no check yet. I only live a few miles away. I call the finance guy and he says he forgot and it would be ready by 8:30 at night. It needed a higher up signature. Well, by now I'm frustrated with the excuses and why it takes 5 days to secure a signature. So I call Ford Customer Relations. In a few minutes, the representative had a three-way recorded call going with him, me, and finance guy. We're talking almost $2,000 refund you know. Finance guy again changed coarse and said it couldn't go out over the weekend since overnight mail isn't picked up. So in a week, three different excuses, not of which made sense. The call concluded with me picking up the check at 8:30 that night. The three-way was recorded for the record so Ford, Car dealership and others to hear and address. Well, low and behold, at around 3 pm, the finace guy calls me with-in the hour after the call to tell me the check is ready. Amazing how things fall into place. I have yet to have my car serviced there, but we'll see because when I had my car serviced, 2017 in Mchenry at a Ford dealership, that owner held up my work because I yelped his dealership for untimely repairs. The owner in Huntley actually suggested I go somewhere if I was not going to give them a favorable rating. You think he would have worked harder to gain satisfaction. Management in Huntley though needs to clean house in their finance department because there are no priorities there nor time management. They are flying by the seat of their pants. I like my Ford and probably will buy another again, but I refuse to accept snub-nosed dealerships not taking care of business in a timely manner. read more

We reported them to the Better Business Bureau/ Sales manager sits down does not say hello, does not introduce himself, is irritated and harshly starts with "what do we have here" then looks at the sales assosciate and asks" what's the car, what's the price" then looks at the computer and says" yes that's the price, bottom price, what are you doing here if you don't like this price" the whole conversation from this so called sales manager was condescending , high-handed, and plain bully. We were insulted and attacked for trying to negotiate price and trade in. We couldn't take it anymore and stood up and said " we don't want to do business with you" and then he stood up and said" well I don't want to sell you a car , so that makes 2 of us" . Most disrespectful dealership I have ever been to. I understand that low balling on a trade is the start of the process, but to offer 5K on a blue book 20k truck and then just try and BS people about the dealership is disrespectful. I thought the days of xxx salespeople was few and far between but this place, the salesmen admitted the truck was worth 20k but would only give 5k because they had to make a profit. I have purchased many vehicle and own 2 new fords right now. These salespeople and managers remind me of the the salespeople of old ripping anyone and everyone off as much as possible and laughing as they do it. I still like Ford but I will never visit this dealership again. I was not looking for an insane deal just an honest one and it was not with this group. Sad very sad the way they run the dealership trying to just get a payment and screw you over all together. this is a huntley ford culture thing because they go to the so call manager, he sets them to run this type of scam to get a higher payment and screw you out of your money. If you want to be treated fairly and with respect, do not go to this dealership. I found a car on their website that I wanted to test drive, and most likely purchase. I called to make sure the car was still available and was told yes, please come to see the car. Once I got there with my checkbook in hand, I was told that they COULDN'T FIND THE KEYS! They let me sit for 45 minutes while no less than 8 salespeople ran around whispering like school children on the playground. They told me it would be best to go home and they would call me when they found the keys. One week later, still no keys, and the new excuse was that the car had to have a safety inspection. Guess what? During this timeframe, I had my sister inquire about the same car, just to confirm my suspicion that they were jerking my chain. Yep, they tried to sell the car to my sister! I still can't figure out what game they are playing at this place, but I recommend that fellow shoppers find a dealership where the salespeople don't get their kicks playing bate-and-switch. Did I miss a memo somewhere that said car dealerships are no longer part of the service industry? Bought a car here, I wished I had not been so stressed about the numbers that I missed the extra charges added in. Including a 2000$ huntley package in which we never discussed l, my fault for not reviewing paper work in which I never received let alone a receipt in payment. Truck was missing spare and the hoist, as well as rear headrest, I understand they don't have to get me these these things but as much cost that they snuck in, id think a few hundred bucks wouldn't hurt. Duding test drive there was a slight creaking when turning tight and slow, asked it to be looked at and was told that trucks aren't made to turn sharp, funny because when you are backing a trailer you need to turn tightly, so I was brushed aside about that saying they did the 172 point inspection and everything was fine. At this point who knows if I even got a legit warranty with it, not happy whatsoever. And still waiting on my welcome package I don't even know who to pay. read more

This is an unethical dealership. If I could give them zero stars I would! I called 5/21/20 to inquiry about two used F150 trucks they had in inventory. I spoke to Nick and made an offer on the Platinum of 40k. Nick said the price will not be reduced but he would confer the manager and call me back. Two hours passed, no call from Nick. I called back and spoke to a young woman who said Nick left for the day and that she worked with him and saw a note concerning my first call. I asked why Nick did not return my call as he promised, no response. I inquired about the second F150 I had in mind. She told me I would need to speak with a salesperson. ( this confused me as I had asked the operator for sales dept.) My response was , Ok get me a salesperson. She said they are all busy and she would have one return my call but it probably wouldn't happen until the morning. I replied ok and discontinued the call. Thinking that this is very poor customer service, considering the business is based on sales and customer service, I called back and asked to speak to a mgr.. Jay answered, I explained my dilemma and inquired about the other F150 which was a Lariat. He asked how I intended to pay , My response was that I could pay cash or obtain a loan, which ever would benefit him. His response was well what is it cash or loan. I said cash and would pay full asking price.I also told him that I live in Arizona and would have the vehicle shipped. He said they could arrange that for $2/per mile. He said he would have a salesperson call me the next day(5/22/20). I called the morning of 5/22/20 at 0900 IL time knowing that was their opening hour. Jay answered and I told him I would purchase the F150 Lariat for full asking price. He told me he would need to transfer me to a salesperson. Jon Osvath was that salesperson. I told Jon I would purchase the F150 for asking and I would arrange my own transport to pick vehicle up. Jon said he would draw up the paperwork and call me back. Three hours later, still no call back. This prompted another call, Jay answered and said he would have Jon call me. Well no call or contact for another hour. Finally, I received the following text: "I apologie for the wait sir I was just informed that the vehicle did happen to sell. Were there any other vehicles on our website fordhuntley.com that you were interested in". This was my direct response to Jon's text "How can that be Jon?? U told me this morning it was available when I called at your opening hour.. and told you I wanted to buy it?" Nothing in response to this. I was furious! They sold the vehicle right out from underneath me. I called Jay back and explained the situation. Jay said first come first serve. I informed Jay I was wanting to purchase it on 5/21/20 and again on 5/22/20 at the opening bell of their store. No one was before me. I asked to speak the the GM and was told he isn't available. I asked for his name and was told Abe. I asked Jay for his last name and Jay said "I can't pronounce it." My response was spell it for me, I'm an educated person and can write. Still did not get the last name other than the initial "K". I requested this GM call me. To my surprise, I did receive a call from Abe K only to be told his store caters to locals first. In other words, despite my willingness to purchase the vehicle the day before and the first to purchase at the opening bell the next morning for full asking price, they chose to sell it to someone that came into the store after my committed purchase offer. DO NOT DO BUSINESS with HUNTLEY FORD. They are dishonest and unethical! I will also be submitting a complaint with the Dealers Association. I feel sorry for you Huntley, IL residents if this is your only choice for a Ford store in you immediate area. Please do the right thing and drive to another town or county where another Ford choice would be available!! read more

I had reviewed Huntley Ford with 5 stars, but reluctantly have to change my review due to the recent turn of events. I feel my options of getting in contact with this dealership are running out. I had leased an F-150 from them on 9/5/2020. After waiting and waiting for my new account information to show up, nothing. After checking their website to see if my trade in vehicle as listed, nothing. Finally contacted them on 9/23 and was told I had to resign my paperwork. Why did it take ME contacting THEM to have them tell me this? Ok, fine, I resigned the paperwork. I asked when my trade would be paid off then. Was told a check would be sent in a few days. Fast forward to 10/6; trade is STILL not paid off. According to the bank in which my trade's lease is through, a pay off hasn't even been requested by Huntley Ford. I contacted the finance manager again and was told he'd talk to the office manager to see what the problem is and get back to me. It is now the end of the day on 10/8 and received no answers. They are holding my financial integrity in jeopardy. Another payment is due on the trade in a couple of days. I have no interest in making a payment on a vehicle I don't have possession of AND is listed for sale on a car dealerships website. By reading this dealer's bullsh*t responses to reviews, I want my trade in paid off and this matter put to rest for good. I will explore my legal options too.
