FPO and I have been wanting to try Hurricane Allie's since a friend recommended them a while back. We went in around 6:30 on a Saturday. It was near empty, about five or six people sitting at the bar. We were greeting when we walked in and told we could sit anywhere. The restaurant/bar was clean, looked really spacious, and was brightly lit. We ordered Mac and Cheese bites, smoked Gouda with bacon. The portion seemed a little small, but they were pretty good. FPO had a bacon cheeseburger with fries; I had a regular cheeseburger with fries. The burgers were okay, but the fries were super salty. Also, they have a smoker's patio right outside the front door, so any time someone lit up, the smoke comes into the bar. I've seen other reviewers say it's a great place for karaoke. We were too early for that. Still, it seemed the people there were having a good time. read more

This bar is in my neighborhood I have been to it a few times I cannot stand karaoke it sucks I do not want to sit there and listen to people who can't sing try and sing why this bar is on a biker bar website I do not know there is no bike parking at this bar motorcycles and cars do not go together drunks and cars back over motorcycles they need to section off by parking if they want to have bikers show up beer prices need to be cheap there's no reason you can't get a can of hams for $1.50 and still make money at a bar read more

I used to come here quite frequently for food and drinks. The last time I came here in a Saturday night I ordered 2 draft beers and Reuben sandwich. Beers were barely cold, service was terrible and the Reuben had 2 slices of meat on it. Probably won't be coming back if this is the kind of slop they are serving here. Step it up! read more

OK... So we eat at Allie's at least once a month (for years). They WERE one of the best places in KC to get a Philly Steak sandwich until we came to eat SAT 5/17. The male short order cook made an abomination for our to-go order. Got home and it was horrendous looking slices of burnt, tasteless steak with hardly any peppers/onions. And the "cheese" was something that looked like a product of a reproductive organ. Fed it all to feral cats outside. And this was the same night that the internet/phone provider had it's network vandalized... so we couldn't call them to voice our displeasure. So if you or we walk in and there is a man cooking... just might need to turn around and walk out. read more

I have left a review on here before but that was a few years ago, I still visit this bar and have so much fun around a lot of friends, People are friendly In there and there to have fun as well, The Karaoke is always fun and all the KJ'S put on a really great show Thursday thru Saturday are Karaoke nights, Their food is really good and hot when they bring it to you, I have never had a complaint there, bathrooms are clean as well, Tracy does a fine job of keeping food orders going out along with drinks, and I have even seen the Kjs helping out with orders when they get swamped , All the employees work very hard to make everyone want to come back so dont forget, karaoke on Thurs, Fri and Sat nights starting at 9 till 1pm, get there early as this place fills up fast, see you there, and have a great spring/summer ! read more

I'm so glad Allie's fought to keep her place open until midnight during COVID! As a near-regular for their Friday night karaoke, it's nice to know a place to hang out these days! A purchase is necessary to sing karaoke, but - as the menu shows - it's not a big sacrifice. I put newest menu & daily specials on for your review. Now - the person who MAKES Allie's run smooth as silk, even when busy (Covid busy, you know), is TRACY! It was great to have ALEX back in the kitchen, but I've seen TWO servers with a cook not keep up like Tracy & Alex - all while keeping their cool & sense of humor. Without them, especially Tracy - I don't know how they'd do it. All the KJs are great - Jordan, Devin, Craig - the new guy (LOL) & you can go get your sing on Thursday-Saturday- just sign in after me! read more

Great Karaoke, cheap drinks, and a somewhat weird tasting (but pretty good) pizza. Hurricane Alley's is a fun spot and it's clear that many of KC's native have figured that out! It gets absolutely packed on karaoke nights to the point where it's not really worth staying after you get one song in. Very long rotations. I had a custom pizza which was pretty cardboard-y, but it did the trick after the number of drinks we ordered. They have good deals and the staff are very friendly! I'll definitely be going back for some singing and drinks! read more

This is my favorite place to hang with my friends the bartender is the best and the food is reasonably prices and good! The Asian Ginger Burger is my Go to, but the pork tenderloins and huge!! Love this place...Been open since Sept 2010...Been told it was the location of the old "cheifs" bar (not sure about that). It's a small litter place with great food and friendly people. Has different specials everynight. Sunday they have a free poker league, that starts at 4, come join it's lots of fun!!! The food is great..ask for the cheesy corn, it's sweet with a bit of kick to it, all Allie would tell me is that it has jalopeno's in it....it sure is yummy. So if you looking for a clean bar this is diffently the place to try out. read more

My lunch experience was very good. The turkey wrap was delicious, and reasonably-priced, with plenty of moist, tasty turkey. Great lunch specials were available including $0.50 tacos, and $5.00 burgers. The interior was spotless, with a pool table, dart boards, TVs, one of the new jukebox machines, and a karaoke stage. I was taken to Hurrican Allie's by my sister and family who eat there weekly. Taco Tuesday, it was. We ordered the taco salad. I was told by others at the table that taco salad was a better choice. I was also told that the sauce is a new recipe and improved from the old recipe. For something called a salad, there was little lettuce. It was crisp and cold however, and the tomatoes were firm, freshish. The sauce had no seasoning, no spice at all. I had a mom who cooked bland all my life. I know bland. The sauce tasted like no more than pureed tomatoes. It was...not good. I see groupon deals for this place often. Perhaps instead of giving away food on the cheap, improve it. Spices and seasoning are a cheap fix for crappy food. I suggest you do it. I won't be back. OMG, another bar serving Pepsi too. Not to be tolerated. Get some real soda for mixing drinks. We were starving after a day spent in the bowels of IKEA but zero desire for chain restaurant fare. Stumbled across this place just a few minutes away and we are so glad we did. Bartender was pleasant and helpful, beer was cold, and the food delicious. We had the specials for the day which were a Rueben and a Chicken Fried Steak Sandwich. Rueben was made with the perfect ratios of meat, sauerkraut, and sauce on rye bread that was fresh and toasted just as it should be. The chicken fried steak sandwich was a fresh, surprisingly light, and crispy dream. Both served with fries seasoned just right. Update! This place used to be awesome but all they care about now is the biker crowd and ran a group of my friends (who were spending about $50 a piece) off for being too lame and giving the bar an old person feel. My friends are in their 20s and early 30s. Really?!? Forget this place. read more
