We went to a record fair recently and stopped Hurricane Grill & Wings in Neptune Beach afterward, which is probably our favorite Hurricane location. They're located at 628-6 Atlantic Blvd. We started Old Bay Kettle Chips & Queso, which is a go-to for us. It's exactly what it sounds like by the name. Just a solid appetizer with more than enough to share between several people. I had the Mushroom Swiss Burger with fries but the burger patty was so big, I barely touched the fries. I liked the burger and was surprised that the bun held up. Sometimes mushroom & swiss is more of a mess than it's worth but this held together well. Lauren had 5 Boneless Wings. She is in a hot honey phase right now so she got that sauce and liked it a lot! I'm a bone-in wings person but she prefers boneless and she likes theirs a lot, so she was happy. Like I said, we like this location a lot. The first reason is they have a dog friendly patio followed by the service always being good. We stopped over there the other night to watch the WBC US v Canada - hadn't been in a few months and it looks like new ownership. Asked multiple members of staff if they showed the game and where we could sit to watch it. They didn't know what baseball was but they got the remote to try and help - couldn't find Fox to show the game. They were more interested in making us sit and order, didn't understand the game was the priority so we left. Prices looked like they went up and we didn't recognize a single face. Not sure we'll be going back with service like that - very sad :( read more

A super cute little bar. The inside is not the biggest so I can imagine it getting busy, and there was some outdoor seating. Tons of regulars here, it seemed like everyone sitting at the bar knew each other. They have daily deals and tons of food and drink options. This place is honestly a hit or miss. And I don't mean that in a bad way. Some days you have AMAZING service, delicious food and yummy drinks! Flavors all on point! On another day, you'll get mediocre food with ingredients missing (like how do you serve me a chimichurri steak without the chimichurri and THEN tell me you ran out of the sauce?! The point of the dish is IN the name! Hahaha) and the drinks were all juice (too sweet or sour) or just totally watered down. But, I'm not mad at them. Everyone has off days. Hopefully, more good than bad. And this place has that. I don't care what other people say, I like them. Close to home. Chill environment. Not bad! Down on vacation I ate here with my family. I ordered some fish and chips and margaritas. The drinks were tasty and not too strong. The fish was a good size and very crispy and not too greasy. Everything came out pretty quick too. The service from our waitresses was great! We checked on regularly and she was funny with a great personality too! A bit sarcastic but it was the good kind of sarcasm that made for a good time. The restaurant clean and has a good vibe to it. Been here twice already within 3 days. Their customer service was great, as soon as I enter their establishment. The first visit was a large family order. They got everything right! The second visit was just as good! Both times, they provided good customer service. They answered any questions we had. The manager checked on me while they prepared the orders and after. For 10 + years Hurricanes (this location) has been messing up orders. Went today after having not been in a year. Luckily I remembered to check my takeout order before I left. Ordered a pretzel appetizer with beer cheese, entree salad with extra dressing, and chicken tenders with 2 sauces for myself & a friend to share. Opened the pan the pretzel came in and sauce the container cup of cheese in the middle... but no other sauce or salad dressing anywhere in the bag. Went back inside & waited a bit for the to-go server to come back. She apologized sent someone else in the kitchen to grab the missing sauces (I handed them the receipt). Then a few minutes later she came out with the sauces for the chicken tenders and 1 salad dressing. I did ask for the second salad dressing which she went back & got. I get home, open my order and apparently I should have looked closer at my order. The pretzel was missing the beer cheese dip, the cup that I thought was the cheese was my salad dressing in with the pretzel appetizer. If this was a first time or every once in a while thing I wouldn't care. But the only consistent thing about this place is how often they f up. Even having dined in before, I have often been given the wrong sides, etc. People who work there are nice, but more is needed than just "nice". read more

Chicken wings are my favorite food and I've had them almost everywhere. These wings were some of the best I've ever had! We split the garlic Parmesan Hot and lemon pepper. I will say the garlic parm were very good but the garlic was a tad bit strong for me it lingered on my mouth after brushing my teeth twice lol. (Nothing wrong with that. Just not for me) They were crispy, good size, and on special 20 for $20. I also had the Cabernet and it was $4. GREAT pricing. The staff at this location really make this bar/restaurant. Cierah, our favorite bartender, knows everyone by name and you never have to wait on a drink. Mac and cheese balls that came late, and did not seem to have mac...only cheese. Food WAS hot, though. But the servers! First one disappeared, never to return. Then the second one disappeared. We had to get up and ask for our check near the bar. This place needs better management, so that the servers serve, and the cooks...cook. It was not even that busy, and there seemed to be extra servers...doing something out back, I guess. We had not been to this place in years, and won't be going back anytime soon.
