We have a child with a nut allergy and every time we ask them to pick out for us we say "anything so long as it doesn't have nuts" and 100% of the time they add things with nuts in them and our loved one gets poisoned. They need to seriously train their staff on allergies and what Donuts have nuts in them. You would think someone should know that recess has nuts, but they have no clue. read more

I'm not a huge donut fan, but I was pretty shocked at how delicious they were from Hurts! They have so many different kinds of donuts, it felt like I took 10 min trying to decide which one to go with! In the end, I chose an old-fashioned and Oreo donut, and they weren't too sugary or too doughy (which definitely classifies as the perfect donut in my opinion). The interior of the shop was an interesting mix of rustic, modern, and colorful. I hope to come back a few more times and try out the many other flavors they give! read more

Went on a Sunday morning between 9:30 and 10am. Bought pick a dozen plus a fritter and two long Johns. The yeast raised Lemon donut was raw in the middle with a black hair in the lemon curd. Definitely did not finish. Both long Johns (one chocolate and one maple) were also both raw in the middle, you could see where the dough had stopped cooking and wasn't fluffy inside. Hurts Donut gets one star for having edible cake donuts. I haven't tried the apple fritter yet--not too excited to. I do not recommend this place. read more

This was our second visit in a couple of months. I had high hopes this time around. However, when we entered, two employees were observed flicking rolls of dough at each other and others standing nearby, then they both proceeded making twist doughnuts. A third employee had dough wrapped around his wrist. This was a total turnoff. The reason this was our second visit is because the last time we visited, the person taking our order was the same person to ring us up and take our money. At no time did she change her gloves or use a sheet of parchment to complete our order or the order for the person behind us. I threw the order away on the way out the door. The reason we didn't walk out immediately today is because there were two people behind the counter. I was hopeful that one was completing orders and the other checking people out. Not the case. The basic donuts, like the glazed, sprinkled, and maple long johns are very good! The rest are kinda gross and too much but that's a personal preference! I'm sure there are plenty of kids who think this place is heaven!! My gripe is the coffee...it's crappy! Honestly it's sad but McDonald's coffee is better! There weren't a lot to choose from which I wasn't surprised or upset by considering they haven't been open long and it was late morning. However the girl behind the donut case was extremely rude. Maybe she was just having a bad day but any questions asked she was incredibly short and had an attitude. While I was waiting in line to pay I watched her with other customers and she was just as rude and rolling her eyes when answering questions. The location seems to struggle with quality control. My husband stopped a couple of weeks back to pick up some donuts. Those were great - moist and great flavor. This past week I visited to pick up a couple of donuts. I chose the chocolate birthday cake donut, the smores donut and a smoked cheddar kolache. The chocolate birthday cake donut was dry and flavorless, while the smores donut was not fully cooked. My donut had raw dough in the middle. The kolache seemed to be missing the smoked cheddar. The way it was described to me is when I warm up the kolache the cheese gets all melted and gooey. I saw a few specks of cheese but nothing more. I also noticed it seems the store struggles to keep their cases full. All I can say is if this most recent visit was my first time trying these donuts, I definitely would not be back. Just got in from California and this was our first stop after a quick night of sleep. Very cute decor. The donut case looked amazing and the coffee smelled great. One worker. She doesn't greet us at all. I order a speciality coffee and then wait. She just stares at me. Okayy I guess I'll continue with my order. We order another coffee and a couple donuts. She makes us pay first then finally starts to make coffee. She finishes one then decides to help the customers in line instead of finishing our order first. We were in a hurry so I finally just asked for a cup so I could use the fill your own station. She never apologized. Never smiled once. The vibe was so negative that I couldn't wait to get out of there. My coffee was lukewarm at best and tasted eh. The donuts, well they also left little to be desired. The donut holes were heavy, not airy and light like I'm used to. The chocolate bar was the same. Donuts are one of my favorite things. This place was disappointing on all levels. read more

I love this place! Went there yesterday and got 3 donuts, (ate them all) it wasn't too busy, we got there around 1:00-1:30 and they had a full case of donuts so I got to get the flavors I wanted most. The first time I was there it was super busy and very picked over so I wasn't too thrilled about that but it was a few days after opening so that is to be expected. Looking at some of the reviews people were saying that the people working the counter weren't very nice but the lady I got was super sweet. Maybe just having a better day?? But anyways I love donuts and I will always continue to come back. Flavors I've had and recommend: Homer donut, Cherry Pie Donut, Oreo Cheesecake Donut, and the Cookie Monster. I'm sure there are other amazing flavors and I will be sure to try them when I go back, but those are the ones I've had and loved. The cake donuts I'm not a huge fan of though.
