Hush Salon is my hair place of choice because of the people, not only my stylist, who is amazing, but the ladies at the desk and the owners, as well as the other stylists. The receptionists are so sweet and helpful, whether they are on the phone or in person. They greet their clients/guests and offer coffee, water, and sodas, which are much appreciated. The other stylists say hi as they walk by as do the owners. Obviously the warm, friendly vibe starts top down and it makes such a difference. All the salon and spa services you could want are available at Hush. The salon is spacious with a modern open industrial feel, and spotless. Is it weird to compliment the restrooms? Well, I need to do that too. Plenty of parking is available so even when Hush is super busy, I can find a space. There are multitudes of products for sale, including Color Wow, which I am passionate about. The most important characteristic of a great salon is how the client's hair looks, and I could not be more pleased. Charley is my stylist and I'm crazy about her as a person as well as her talents. We have lovely conversations about kids, restaurants, and cooking, so my appointment is also a social affair. I often bring photos of hairstyles and Charley can duplicate them. She shares tips for styling and I am confident I can do it when I leave the salon. I must mention the fantastic head and neck massages during shampooing; I feel so pampered. Every time I come here I book an appointment with Silviya because she's the best! She's incredibly sweet and always listens to exactly what I want for my cut. The level of accommodation and attention to detail she provides is the best. Not only is the salon clean and well-maintained, but all the employees there are genuinely friendly. It creates such a welcoming atmosphere that adds so much to the experience of getting a haircut. I always leave the salon with my scalp feeling clean and my hair feeling so so soft. Came in for a cut, color, highlights, and style. They were nice enough to get me in to fill another customer's cancellation. The color was mostly nice. not quite what I was going for but she didn't damage my hair. my biggest gripe, and the reason why I'd never go back or recommend this place is because I paid over $300 for everything and she didn't even have time to blow me out, so I literally walked out with drip wet hair. I was pissed. I did want to make a scene so I just paid. I am a woman of color, and if they didn't know how to care for my hair, they should have adm that when I asked before coming in. One of the worst experiences ever...left the chair before Miranda was finished as I couldn't take it anymore. Went in for a simple trim and touch-up on a style I already had. After an hour she still couldn't figure it out! Clearly inexperienced, lacked confidence and simple knowledge. PLEASE READ!!!!! LADIES DO NOT GO TO HUSH A SALON AND DAY SPA, GO TO A PROFESSIONAL SALON THAT HAS SOME ETHICS AND CARES ABOUT THEIR CLIENTS! Please save yourselves from the HEADACHES and STRESS but more importantly SAVE YOUR HAIR! I got my hair done at this salon by McKenna Reeb and I want to share my experience ... it may save you your hair. Personally, I am very attached to my hair and I take care of it as much as possible. After weeks of looking at pictures of Mckenna's work on Instagram, I felt confident that she would do a good job with my hair. I also thought I would feel more comfortable with her because we had gone to high school and cosmetology school together. I reached out to her and sent her a picture of what I wanted. I knew it would not be possible to get there in one session, but I was okay with going in for a few sessions. I got my hair done on October 5t​ h​. Initially, I thought I was happy with it but that was because I hadn't really looked at it closely. While she was styling my hair, she turned me to the wall because she wanted it to be a "surprise". When she was done, I only got to look at it for a few seconds because she was running late and wanted to take pictures of it. The next day, I posted a picture of it on Instagram because she had offered a discount for doing so. On October 7th, after washing my hair, I noticed how orange one side was. I messaged asking which purple shampoo I should get and when I could go in for the second session. Since she was my friend, I didn't want to tell her how upset I was with it and I knew she would immediately notice the color difference when she saw it. I asked if she had availability the second week of November. She did not message me back until November 1st... almost a whole month later. On November 2nd, a chunk of my hair broke off in the front, it was left so brittle and weak and continues to break off. I messaged her and told her about it, she told me it was because I was putting too much heat on my hair. I told her I had only put heat on it 3 times. She then said I was brushing too hard and told me to brush it like a white mom. She also told me I could come in to the salon and pay for a treatment. About two weeks later I finally decided I was just going to call the salon and tell them about it. I paid $193 plus left a $37 tip only to have to wear hats in order to hide my hair because I felt so insecure. Kathy, one of the owners, told me I could come in on Thursday December 6th. I went in on Thursday and showed her my hair. She told me it was normal for the hair to lift differently and joked saying she didn't know what she could do for me because It was like going to a restaurant, ordering a steak and then coming back 2 months later. She offered to tone my hair darker and give me a deep conditioning treatment because my hair could not handle another bleaching. (Toner only lasts a month, so this would only be a temporary fix) I declined, because I do not trust anyone from that salon to touch my hair again. I asked if I could get my money back and she said she could not give me a full refund but could offer $50. Again, I said no. I did not think she was being fair considering I lost money, hair and I still have to go fix my hair somewhere else. My hair will take a long time to grow back to the length that it was at before breaking off. The breakage is all in the front, so I can't even hide it. The next day, she told me she would be giving me a full refund for the color process. I told her I wanted it back on the original card and she said she would be giving me $140. Out of instinct, I asked "Wasn't the hair cut only $33?" (which would have been a refund of $160). She said she was going to review my account and give me a call back by the end of the day. The next day I called the salon to ask if she had looked at my account. I was told Kathy was busy, but she would give me a call back. When she called, she told me she would not be giving me any money back because she felt that she had offered more than enough help and I was not being reasonable. I told her I was fine with taking the $140 and apologized for offending her when I asked about the hair cut price. She said this was how things were going to end and that she was done dealing with me. I let her know that I would be posting the pictures online and she told me that she wasn't going to listen to my threats and hung up on me. They blamed me the entire time for something that was not my fault. Mckenna did not even apologize for messing up my hair; in fact, she did not even respond and blocked me on Instagram! I am in complete shock by how the situation was handled, it is obvious that they could care less about customer satisfaction as long as they get your money! read more

Where do I begin?! I am head over heels for this salon. When you walk in, you automatically feel like you are in an LA salon. So chic and so beautiful. The staff is always so friendly and welcoming, and everyone is so stylish and beautiful. I took my daughter there the other day for a cut, and our hair dresser was so patient and understanding. She also does my hair and I love her. Silviya always hits it out of the park with my hair and nothing was different with my daughter. I recommend this salon to all my friends and will continue to do some because they are that amazing. If you want to be treated so well and have an amazing experience at a salon, then Hush is where you need to be. We even love about 20 miles away but make the drive each time because it is that good. Both my wife and I have been going to Hush for several years now and there are reasons for that: - The people/staff: Wonderful, caring, fun and top notch professionals in their craft. We both see Kathy (one of the three women owners) and over the many times we've come in she always treats us as we and our business are the most important things. Additionally, the staff are wonderful and the people who work there, who I have no real business with which to conduct, know my name and great me when they see me. - The product: They are a full service salon and day spa and each specialty there works hard to insure you get what you want. I'm picky about my hair, which is why you'll never find me at an $8 "Super Scalp", these people are pro's and take the time to get it right. My wife gets the full service hair treatment and has also done the manni/peddi thing and gives only the highest praise. - The Vibe: This salon caters to the entire age spectrum and does so in an environment and in a way that makes anyone and everyone feel comfortable and welcome. The old place and now the new place (they moved 1/23/13) offer an setting that is fun, vibrant, youthful and alive, without producing an atmosphere that would make one feel out of place or un-hip (you know the kind of place I'm talking about). - Community: Hush Cares. That's the truth, as demonstrated by action, and that's how they "brand" it, Hush Cares. They giveaway full-on "Pamper Days" for those less fortunate as spirit lifters and confidence builders, they contribute monetarily through fundraisers and events, and so much more. - And Finally, wheelchair access. 5 Stars to them for access and accommodation. Blue zone parking with room for a full sized gate lift (you'll need to back in though), a small, almost imperceptible rise from the parking lot to the automatic sliding doors, easy to roll on laminate floors and a huge ADA compliant restroom. The chairs are an easy transfer (I'm a quad) or they're happy to work on you right in your chair. I could go on but I think you get the point. I've been to several salons in town looking for the most professional, relaxing, capable pedicure. This pleasant, recently renovated salon at Broadway/Country Club is my favorite by far, despite the fact I have to drive 7 miles to get there from the eastside! I regularly treat my mother to a pedicure as well, so we started going to Hush when they had two nail techs there, and we were able to have side-by-side pedicures. Unfortunately, my favorite tech left for health reasons about 6 months ago and Hush has been unable to find a replacement who met their high standards. I hope they find one soon! However, Africa (her name) remains, and she does a great job. I'm just disappointed that Mom and I can only have the pedicures one-after-the-other, so I have to budget in two hours time. We go about every 4-5 weeks. The cost is $45 each, not counting a tip. The bowl and equipment are well-sanitized immediately following every procedure so I always feel safe. Each time we are offered a beverage to drink, and we've never had to wait more than a few minutes for our appointment to be ready. My feet have never been in better shape. The salon is attractive, well-decorated and clean; the employees are friendly and helpful. The pedicures are excellent. That's why I continue to keep going back and I highly recommend it. read more

I've seen four different people there for hair and facials over the past couple years. My hair experiences were really fabulous. Free glass of wine (or other beverage)?! An excellent touch. Unfortunately, the great aesthitician has left. The new people doing skin care- do not waste your money. -I left with a lot of white heads that were not extracted (how easy that would have been) and I had told her extractions were my main need. -Also, I left covered in make-up!!! The woman did not even ask me if I wanted make-up, she just applied it, everywhere. (I assumed it was a cream or sunscreen.) It was gross! I could not believe it when I looked in the mirror. I don't wear make-up, she should have at least asked first. I could not wait to get home and wash my face, ugh! It was this woman's sister's line of make-up so she was just trying to sell the product. Awful, shame on them! It was very pricey too, I don't remember but around $60 or $70. I would be fine with the price if they had done a good job, but it was one of the worst facials I've received. Love the salon in general, but am getting skincare elsewhere. read more

I've been going to Hush for years now, and I don't think I'll ever break up with them. It's easily an hour drive from my house in the sticks to their location at Broadway & Country Club, but I make that drive for this amazing salon. My husband goes there as well, we both love our stylist Sherrie! Each and every stylist is professional and talented. The hostess Anna is super sweet. I love the whole atmosphere in the salon, the whole vibe is so chill and relaxed and still chic. For my wedding day, I didn't even think of getting beauty services anywhere else. Myself, my two bridesmaids, my two flower girls, my mother and my mother-in-law all had hair and makeup done at Hush. Each woman got a different hair do and makeup styled to each of our taste levels and personal style, and they all turned out beautifully. I've tried salons all over - in LA, NYC, Miami, Phx and seriously the talent at Hush can't be beat. I've tried many different types of color and cuts over the years and the team at Hush has always put the health of my hair as the first priority. Danielle has restored my hair after two pregnancies and one really bad color attempt (was out of town and made the mistake of try a trendy color style). She got me back to good with minimal damage to my fragile hair. No ego with these ladies either... if anything ever needs to be touched up or "fixed" they are quick to get me in and make sure I don't leave until I'm absolute thrilled. I've sent many friends here over the years... to different stylists - Kathy, Sherri, Susie and Silviya - and all have been just as happy. What a great group of hairdressers. My daughter and I have been going to Hush for many years. My daughter is autistic and sometimes she does not hold still. Sheri does a perfect cut every time. I do not know how she does it, the woman has the patience of a saint. I have my hair bleached to the max and have had every hair color you can imagine, never a bad outcome. The last time I was in for my appointment, I overheard a couple of stylists talking to each other on how they didn't have time for a break/lunch. To the Hush owners: please, please, please make sure that your employees are able to take a well needed and deserved designated lunch or break. I understand that working in a salon and day spa, it must get busy and I'm sure it gets hard keeping up with all of your clients... but this should not reflect on the well being of your employees!! I came to this salon for a consultation after I had my own coloring mishap... I got ombre color on my hair at a different salon and absolutely hated it. The line was too harsh and there was no depth, i had brought a photo and the stylist failed to deliver. When I came to Hush Salon and met Sheri Turner, I was put at ease. The atmosphere is hip, edgy and colorful; the stylists' work I witnessed was excellent and well-executed. Sheri listened to my concerns and she knew how to soften the ombre by adding low-lights and bringing the light ombre streaks higher. The location and interior are very cute. They use pureology hair products, which I'm not a fan of, but at least it's not Paul Mitchell. I went in for a blow dry and asked for a "beachy" wave but was given a Farrah Fawcett curl which was impossible to straighten out when I got home. It was so embarrassing to walk out of there looking like I belonged in another decade. I don't suggest it if you are looking for stylists who stay ahead of the trends and have styling skills. There are hairdressers who just stick to the same bag of tricks and it seems like this hairdresser was one of them. I'm definitely more on the picky side, but I think many women are when it comes to their hair. All in all, if you are looking for something simple like a blow dry & straight style, this place does the job. I went to Whitney at Hush a couple of months ago to get a consultation for hair extensions. She was very easy to talk to and concerned with my personal hair goals. She gave me a few options and I decided to go with the tape in extensions. I had shopped around and Whitney was by far the best price. She has style herself which is also very important to me because I feel that if a stylist has a bad sense of style there's no way they are going to be able to enhance my own style. I came back later that week and got the tape ins. They turned out amazing!!! It completely looks like my natural hair. I went from barely shoulder length to what you can see in the pictures I'm posting. She was able to blend the extensions into my natural hair in a way that I wouldn't have thought possible. I was able to swim with them in, I have washed and dried my hair multiple times, and I style it every day. None of them have fallen out. I'm so happy with them!!! I get compliments all the time and my friends made comments about how "fast" my hair grows I would highly recommend Whitney to anyone looking for hair extensions.
