I ordered a make-your-own sandwich with turkey, lettuce, tomato, and mustard and it was yummy, but the service was slow and they were out of all but two kinds of bread which was disappointing.

A great place to get ice cream in West Seattle! They have huge portion sizes and very creamy and authentic flavors! I highly recommend and would come back

The deli area dominates the store! It has too. The line is long and huge.

It's 1934. And the founder, Herman Miller decided to serve ice cream (and burgers) to patrons in the local West Seattle neighborhood. Since then, the Husky Deli has been serving the greater Metropolitan Seattle and King County area for decades! When you enter, you feel the history of the building. But you are definitely attracted to the treats inside. Signature handmade ice cream cones and shakes, as well as a very busy sandwich deli that dominates the center of the space. Roast beef, fresh shaved ham, sliced turkey and choice bread... its all there. The deli is also a specialty novelty store with different crackers, cookies and other delights from places around the world. Also, don't forget to grab and purchase your favorite beverage in the back. You can also get some bulk chocolates and confectioneries if your sweet tooth needs a little extra reinforcement. If you're in West Seattle, and in need of real ice cream, and a real deli, hand made sliced bread sandwich, come on by in any season to the Husky Deli!

This is a solid choice for ice cream in the West Seattle Junction. When the weather is nice, there's always a line for ice cream. Today I got coffee oreo and reeses, and both flavors were really yummy. I can't speak to the deli offerings as I've only come here for ice cream.

Husky deli has really amazing sandwiches. I got to try the "Junction" and "Jack's special". They have really good deli meats and cheese and a wide selection of goods which are from Canada, UK and Europe. They had a variety of Olive Oils, Jams, Marmalade and Breads. I got the focaccia bread and the sandwiches were delicious. The sandwiches used their fresh meats and cheese. They were pretty decent in size and enough for a lunch portion. The staff were very friendly and service was very quick. The store has a classic and charming vibe. I definitely want to come back to try their ice creams.

Quick and easy service for both the deli and ice cream! I got the grilled chicken and pesto half sandwich and Rosie's half sandwich (subbed ham for turkey). The chicken pesto on focaccia bread was delicious! Focaccia was perfectly crunchy, buttery and tasty! Sandwich overall was really good. I wish there was a bit more pesto and more flavor. Hot sauce would've been really good with it. Rosie's sandwich was just ok. Nothing great about it. Ice cream flavors were all really good!

Such a great local spot in West Seattle! The ice cream line seems to always be long with customers of all ages. The sandwiches here are also worth coming for! Jack's special: a panini pressed sandwich on focaccia with prosciutto, coppa, salami, mozz, and basil. This is a veryeay forward sandwich and so good! I think next time I would get this with a pickle or something fresh because it gets pretty heavy after the first couple of bites Husky flake and root beer ice cream: these have been my favorite two flavors so far! Husky flake has small flakes of chocolate which I love and the root beer ice cream tastes like the creamy top of a root beer float. SO GOOD

The BEST ice cream I think I've ever had. They pack in the ice cream, so you get the most ice cream possible in every size! I come back here all the time, and cannot get enough of it. My favorite is their Oreo!

This place is so cute and honestly a hidden gem! There are a lot of great ice cream flavors and food options. There are sandwiches, soups, fresh salads, and a whole market portion of the restaurant. The food was made quickly and there is plenty of seating for large or small parties.

They are open till 7 but don't answer the phone after 6:30, just FYI! I imagine they'll make you a sandwich if you are there in person.

Bonus: this spot is kosher! Potato Latkes (5/5): These latkes are thick boys and fried up so they're piping hot when they hit the table. Because of their size, you really get the contrast of the hard crunch on the outside with super fluffy potato inside. So good we immediately turned around and ordered more. Chocolate Babka (2/5): This was truly the only miss I've had here. Unfortunately, the babka just really dries out after it's been sliced, which is a shame because it's just gorgeous with generous swirls of chocolate inside. Reuben (5/5): I really thought their pastrami couldn't be beat, but the brisket is dare I say better? Just as tender and feels a bit less fatty, so it's a little more crushable. Tip: go for the seeded rye over the marbled rye; something about the marbled rye just falls apart a bit more with the juices of the meat, though it's still delicious! Black & White Cookies (4/5): I expected this to be cloyingly sweet, but this was actually scrumptious with some fresh lemon flavor in the cookie itself. Absolutely massive as well.

Do you happen to live in Washington and miss said pastrami sando? My friend, I have good news for you. Dingfelder's pastrami is a dead ringer for that sandwich: huge slices of melt-in-your-mouth pastrami, regular and half sour pickles, and all the other accoutrements you'd expect from a legit Jewish deli. This place doesn't screw around. If you want a great, hearty, flavor-packed sandwich, this is one of the best places to throw your money. But, as others have pointed out, it's no cheap date: expect to pay over $20 for one of those mighty pastrami sandwiches. This isn't Subway so you're not saving money by eating here, but after one bite of their pastrami you'll understand why you're paying so much. Quality isn't cheap. I'd say this place is tied with Tat's Deli for the best sandwiches in Seattle.

I'd heard they were good, but holy smokes, I didn't realize they would be *that* good. Here are my recommendations: - Get the Tatstrami. Its combination of flavors is so freaking good. - Order online and then sweep in and pick it up. Since the place does most of its business during lunchtime, there's always a line and this is a way to skip that. If you want to venture beyond a pastrami sandwich, I highly recommend the chicken cheesesteak. While I normally opt for beef when it comes to cheesesteaks, Tat's actually isn't amazing but their chicken one is. So get that instead. In short, this is tied with Dingfelders for the best sandwich in Seattle. Pay it a visit and bring your appetite.
