I had a really disappointing experience at Kia Hutchinson of Macon. I pulled onto the lot, parked, and started looking around at the Sorento and Telluride models. There were three salesmen standing out front, and not a single one acknowledged me. No greeting, no "let me know if you need anything," nothing. I spent about 30 minutes walking the lot, clearly browsing and interested, and still no one approached me. At one point, a salesman even walked right past me without saying a word--not even a simple hello or offer to help. Eventually, I gave up, got back in my car, and left. It's frustrating because I was genuinely interested in buying, but customer service matters. I'll be taking my business to another Kia dealership--hopefully one that's actually interested in helping their customers. read more

My husband is a disabled vet. When we purchased this vehicle you offered a loaner car when your car got serviced. We purchased their extended warranty Now when you have something wrong with your car, you have to have a diagnostic test done. They need to keep your car for several days. We would never have bought the car if we knew that you were going to discontinue it for customers that had already purchased. My husband has numerous doctor appointments that we cannot be without a car. I guess customer service is not their high priority. I guess I'll have to live with the seat, not moving for the Driver. I wish that I could give -1 star. I found a car online, sent Kia Hutchinson the authorization for a deposit. Kia Hutchinson never took the deposit. I let them know when I was coming to have a look at the car. I travelled to Macon (nearly 2 hours). When I arrived, Kia Hutchinson told me that the car was sold. The General Manager was supposed to come out and speak to me about it but did NOT. Then to make matters worse, Kia Hutchinson acknowledged their mistake and told me that they would contact me on Tuesday (yesterday) with a list of options comparable to what I picked, and they did NOT reach out at all. After making an appointment to service my new Sorrento and repair several issues, I drove 100 miles to Hutchinson Kia. Upon arriving, I was told that they only scheduled time for an oil change, could not do any repairs. Their tech said that I would need to schedule an additional appt for the repairs and return at a later date for the repairs. It would be fine if the repairs had not been scheduled to be part of the appointment. I asked if they could go ahead and do the repairs as I had driven an hour and a half. They said no. read more

Took my 2014 Kia Sorrento to Hutchinson Kia in Macon, GA. for some minor and major repairs, AC, REAR TIRE SENSORS, DOOR EXTERIOR HANDLE ON PASSENGER SIDE, TAILGATE LATCH, tailgate will not open, and 2 TAIL LIGHT BULBS. Hutchinson Kia diagnostic was on AC and REAR TIRE SENSORS WAS $185 each, but they charged me $170 each, NP I appreciate the $20 discount. My complaint is they wanted to charge me $673.42 for door exterior handle, $303.85 for tailgate latch, AC discharge line $430.93, mine you if was repair 4 yrs ago by them, 2lb of freon $350.93...FREON!!!. NOT COMPLAINING OF REAR TIRE SENSORS cuz I know that takes a little time. You guys if I would have let them repair my car it would have been over $2500. Can you belive...I can't!! Then I asked for a copy of the diagnostic report they ran on the car and they only gave me the report of my complaints I gave them about what was wrong with the car...WOW!!. I PAID FOR THE DIAGNOSTIC REPORT!!. OK after paying them $367.20...got home wondering why $367.20 when each diagnostic was on $170.00, that should equal $340.00 right. They charge me $27.20 MISC CHGE, for WHAT!!!. PLUS $2.18 sell tax. Ok, what is MISC CHRGE, they did nothing to my car but diagnostic....this is a CRIME call highway ROBBERY!!! I made an appointment a week ago to get some recall items taken care of. I gave the customer service rep the VIN for my Kia Soul. I called twice to confirm that they knew why I was coming in for the particular service. well, after waiting three hours, I was told they could not do any of the work because they had to order the parts. what was the purpose of the three confirming phone calls earlier in the week? I thought everything was set to be done. This Three hour appointment was a computer diagnostic. They knew the recalls. I communicated three times the days before. I was assured they had what they needed to do the services. However on today, I was told, nothing could be done, because they had to order parts. They did do me the curtesy of telling me my break lights were not working, but they could not change them. It is as if there is no interdepartmental communication. no one cares about the customers. They only want to put in their time and draw a check. I would not recommend Hutchinson Kia for any service. I miss Jeff Smith Kia. it was a class operation. read more

I had a Terrible sales experience here and will discourage anyone I know from using this place. The staff was unprofessional and did not listen, and they use false advertising. The salesman only had one chair and didn't offer to get another, so I had to go across the room to get myself a chair. I Went to see and try to purchase a new Kia Sportage and they gave me a paper after the drive where the price was almost DOUBLE what is advertised! I urge you to consider taking action to address the dealership's concerns of supply shortages and ensure that all customers receive fair pricing and are able to take advantage of available benefits. Just an update. I contacted the owner or the Kia dealership (Michael Hutchinson) in order to get the service dept to give me an update on my 2015 Kia Sorento. I purchased it from the dealership last April. spending in excess of 20k. I had it 13 months when the motor went out. It's been in the shop since the end of May. FOUR months! Service dept says that there are 18 motors that have to be replaced before mine. 18! As they are taken in the order that they came in. He said some have been waiting since early April. I do have the extended warranty that was added at purchase of $4000 more to cover the motor. With that being said: DO NOT PURCHASE A VEHICLE FROM HITCHINSON KIA IN MACON. Their service department is lousy and for that many vehicles to be piling up there, I'm beginning to think that their vehicles are as well. We went on Saturday to look at a Forte that was advertised for 24k. Once we arrived we noticed the window sticker had all these extra fees tacked onto the "advertised " price that changed this 24k car unto a 37k car. We asked the salesman if this was a joke adding 13,000 to a car in fees. He said it was the new industry standard and all dealerships were doing this. I was shocked since I have been steadily researching vehicles in preparation to purchase for 3 months and haven't come across that large of a price inflation at any dealership. When I said as much, he responded if you can find a dealership that doesn't mark up their vehicles like this you should buy it from them. He went on to say that Hutchinson had over 200 staff to support and the mark ups are the new Industry standard. We promptly left and drove to Perry and found a similar 2022 Forte from Jeff Smith Kia priced at 23k without any additional fees. Guess they didn't have to feed 200 staff. They did get a vehicle sale yesterday and gained a new customer. Hutchinson gained an enemy who will warn everyone they encounter to stay AWAY from them and their bait and switch tactics. read more

I haven't purchased an auto there but several family and friends have. I have been in the business with them for service appointments and observed employees. There has been what seems to be excessive turn over in employees in all areas not just sales. I and family members have heard employees talk about customers as they were leaving the building and male employees making comments about female customers that were outside. It was said where all in service waiting area could hear. No one wants to frequent a business like this when they have to wonder what is said about them after they leave. It's very unprofessional and apparently there is no management teaching correct business manners. Recently went in to test drive a Kia Sportage. I called ahead to make sure the car was available to test drive. I get to Kia and was helped by a young seller. Instead of getting me the car to test drive i was greeted with a million and one questions about purchasing when I just came in for a test drive. In conclusion I was denied a test drive by the manager at the establishment because i wasn't "trying to buy" . We bought our Kia in 2018 and the staff was excellent then. But as we hit the pandemic, scheduling became more difficult for them. They used it as an excuse to say they could not get staff hired. We would call to schedule an oil change...took more than 3 weeks for an opening. They sent me a coupon for new tires. I tried to schedule an appointment, more than 60 days before they could get us in, after the same was over of course. Now, I bring my vehicle in for an oil change, two days later the oil light won't go off. I call to make an appointment because oil issues can be very serious, and once again am advised that they cannot get us in for three weeks. There is no more pandemic. This is just who they are. My wife and I have been loyal Honda owners for more than 30 years, but with two kids in college, decided to get the Kia as it came with excellent reviews, a longer warranty, and was $10,000 less. We won't be doing that again. Each time we schedule an appointment with Honda, it's two to three days tops before they can get us in...with far more Honda owners on the road. I have just never once had a decent experience with the servicing of our Kia. Thanks but no thanks Kia. read more

Employees are exemplifying symptoms of Covid although they are allowing them to leave to get tested they are returning back to work until their results are read. In result of all of this more workers and customers are put in danger because the results are coming back positive. My 71 year old father received a promotional flyer telling him he had won a car of course I was skeptical however everything on the flyer looked legit and the lady we called at the dealership said all we had to do was come in and claim our prize. We took a 30 minute drive to Macon only to arrive and for them to give us two dollars in lottery tickets. My father was excited because he has to deal with the stress of buying my first car, paying for my college and trying to recover from back surgery. I can't believe the true lack of human decency in these people and I will never be purchasing a Kia let alone one from Hutchinson Kia as they have made me not even trust the manufacturer they represent. I bought a brand new 2017 Kia Sorrento from Hutchinson. I had a problem with the car a couple of months ago and tried to get in to have it serviced. I was a little frustrated after a couple of times of trying to get someone on the phone who could help me. Seems like the young lady who was answering the phone was frustrated as well because she told me that "...the service manager's job was to fix cars and not answer the phone." Not sure whether she was told to say that, or she was just frustrated, but it did not help her case. I don't think I will go back to Hutchinson Kia. I especially liked this dealership because of the huge inventory and great selection. If you are looking for a new car, I recommend this dealership because you will have so much to choose from. I'd been shopping for a used Soul for a few weeks. I found one online at Hutchinson and went in to test drive. Now, when I did this, my mind was already pretty much made up on the car, based on my research and shopping, the test drive was just a formality to make sure the car "agreed" with me. Travis met me at the door, pulled the car around, let me drive, and when we got back got me started on the sales process. I don't have the best credit. OK, I've got lousy credit. This is where the dealership really shined through. They made a fair offer on my trade (more than fair) and found me a lender who was willing to look past my mistakes and get me in to the car. Not two hours after I visited I was driving home in my new ride. Great people, great customer service, and all around a good experience. These people are trying to make money like the rest of us, but in a crooked way. If you go in for ANY type of service & they come back with a BS diagnosis of "Your battery is bad. But we'll replace it for you." Run for the hills!!! I went in the pick up a taillight that I had already researched as being an entire part replacement. They lied & said it was just a bulb. I get there and they change their story to it now being an entire part replacement, plus my battery is somehow all of sudden bad. These people were shameless. Their battery diagnostic paper slip they showed me even had the wrong vin#, date & time!!! They are terrible scam artists & have very unprofessional attitudes. Avoid them at all costs. If I could not give any stars, that's what I would do! My partner came there 6 weeks ago and got a new Kia Sorento. A couple days later, she called and asked if she could trade it for one with a sunroof. They said no problem at all! They had one brought from their Albany store and the switch was done. They were "too busy" to do the paperwork that day because they were about to close. They gave her a temporary agreement she could drive the car for a week. She has been to the dealership every other day since. She had called everyday since. She has been passed to a different person several times. She leaves everytime with speaking with no one after sitting there for hours. They're "too busy" or at lunch. When she calls, they send her to voicemail. A month later, they call and tell her the price went up from 28k to 50k payments of $610 for 6 yeears... umm hell no!!! How did the car double in price, but online it's for sale for $32k. Now here we are 6 weeks later and still haven't settled anything. She's driving this car with no contract, an expired temporary agreement to drive the car, no tag, not even a dealership tag. BUYER BEWARE POTENTIAL FRAUD!!! Bought a Vehicle almost two months ago, when I bought it they told me it had 1,000 miles on it because another person was going to buy it but then the deal fell through. I now learn the tag never came because the vehicle was titled to this person and they now need to get power of attorney to put it in my name. They are telling the State it was a mistake so they can claim the vehicle was new when they sold it to me when in fact it appears to have been used. Can't even get the General Manager of the dealership to pick up the phone and call me to discuss. Tag and title lady at the dealership now tells me if I need another temp tag that I have to drive to the tag office, wait in line and get another temp tag. How about you go wait in line or bring me a loner car so I am not the one who has to chase around for what I thought was a new car not used. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! read more
