Talk about service which you want to leave a review about. My Dads house was burning up and I needed someone to look at his a/c unit ASAP. I started my search in Yelp, got a bunch of responses however the response I received from Scott was the most comprehensive and I appreciated that. Now it's summer time and I know all a/c companies are busy so I get it. So after a few messages I called Monday morning and Scott was out there the SAME DAY! I will say I was lucky, but I would have taken an appointment even in the next couple days. Now I don't live near my Dad so I asked to be kept in the loop as my Dad is older and I need to know what is going on. Scott made the repair in the morning, called me and updated me. Due to the nature of the problem we had to let the unit cool down through the day. Later when my Dad tried again it still seemed like there was an issue. My Dad called Scott and Scott said he would have someone out there before 6pm. Scott called me and gave me an update. When the tech arrived, the unit was cooled down with water and the technician installed a hard start unit. Scott called after this was complete to give me an update that things are working again. I understand the unit is old and due to my Dad running it so much for years while it wasn't working right, we may be at risk for a new unit. I get it. The more important thing is the customer service I received today. The phone calls to keep me in the loop were extremely helpful to me. The service was fast and I rarely am the type to write a review so this means a lot to me. I am really late with my review....but it wasn't because of their service. My home was extremely cold in the October 2021. The heat pump stopped working and so did my thermostat. It is 20 years old. I sent an email to HVAC Direct of my situation on a late night. I told them my availability. The technicians arrived the next day. They worked on it and.....wow...The heat pump started purring like a kitten. I had HEAT. It worked perfectly. I am extremely impressed and thankful to HVAC Direct. Making an appointment was very easy and I was able to schedule an appointment in a timely manner. The tech gave me a phone call in advance to let me know when he was on his way. My service tech was named Matt. He was extremely friendly & informative. You could tell Matt took a lot of pride in his work & made sure the job was done correctly. He even took the time to explain to me how my boiler system works, how to maintenance it, and a quick plumbing 101 lesson. Pricing was extremely reasonable & fair. I found this company through Yelp so i called them to come check my AC in my house, staff in the office were helpful and kind but the technician was not friendly or helpful he came and connected his gage to the unit and told me that he could not do basically nothing because the condenser was dirty, at that point he was acting like if i was getting a free service, so i wanted him out of my property that's when i told him how much i own you even though he told me that he couldn't do anything or give a diagnostic but he charge me $79.00 just to come tell me that, so i end up calling another company that came promptly and were friendly and charge me $150 for fixing the issue. read more

I truly can not thank or praise the work of HVAC Direct enough. After a miserable and pointless hour and a half on the phone with my home warranty company, I didn't start looking for quotes until later in the afternoon. Called HVAC to get a second opinion on a furnace issue. They were able to send a tech out that day (friday evening) and diagnose the problem quickly rather than saying it needs to be replaced. Got a quote the following Monday and was repaired quickly and efficiently. The tech was helpful with questions about prices, what was needed in repair, and future maintenance. My 20-year-old A/C stopped cooling on a hot day last week. After spending a chilly night under bundles of blankets, I searched Yelp online early the next morning for service companies, posted a description of our gas furnace and the problem (the thermostat and furnace blower were working but no heat was coming out of the vents) and got a prompt response from Scott Myers, the owner of HVAC Direct Heating & Cooling. Scott said he was available to come out between Noon and 2:00 pm that day and evaluate the problem. The heat coming out of our vents smelled like smoke and we realized that something was wrong with our furnace. We needed someone to come out asap and since HVAC Direct is open 24/7 it worked out perfectly. I spoke with Mr. Scott (the owner) around 7:30am and he was at our house by 9am. From the beginning, Mr. Scott was accommodating and honest. He didn't price gouge or tell me other things were wrong with the furnace and he provided a reasonable price quote. Mr. Art and Mr. Kevin went above and beyond to repair our furnace. They thoroughly explained things, put furniture back that they moved, and were extremely professional. Our 2nd floor AC was not cooling. I called HVAC direct and they connected me to Matt. Matt said that there is a $79 fee to come out which I agreed to. He looked at the 2nd floor heat pump and looked at the compressor outside. Then he went to the electrical fuse box and said that the existing labels of the AC and the heat pump were incorrect. He went ahead and crossed out the existing labels. Finally, he gave us the bill that included a "small electrical repair" ($78.50) and the trip fee. At this point the AC still was not working. When we tried to question him on the new charge he got angry and said that if we did not pay him he won't come back. We paid finally because his behavior was troubling. He also said that "no-one questioned him until today". A good tech should welcome questions because that means he understands what he is doing. He gave us a quote for additional repairs for next time. However, the next day, we decided that he was not professional and we found a knowledgeable AC tech. The 2nd AC tech came and diagnosed the issue. He said that the fuse labels were wrong (Matt had labeled incorrectly). They did not understand why Matt was looking at a 4 Ton compressor for the 2nd floor when he should have been looking at the 2 Ton compressor which had the label "heat pump"? We still have the incorrect labels that Matt wrote on the electrical fuse box! If Matt takes your call, please hang up. read more
