    Pizza and Beer

I guess the night I went they were only serving pizza. I ordered a sausage pizza and beer. Pizza was mid, definitely nothing to rave over. It was decent drunk food I'll give them that. Service was Ight, it was pretty busy so it's understandable. The music was good and vibes were lit. FYI: drinks are pricey and I believe they already put a service charge on your bill. Dress code is strict tho, check their website before you head out there...

Second time I've been here and I had such wonderful memories of the first so I'm sad to leave two stars. We were so excited to come by with the outdoor tables but the service was terrible. Our waitress was very kind but must have been the only waitress for the entire establishment because we never saw her. When we did, we had already waited for 20 min. Then tried to reorder and record the wrong drinks. Tried to get new drinks and she never returned. We couldn't even pay because she never returned so we are hoping the cash we left in the table made it her way. Music and ambiance was great though. And I recall the pizza was good. Willing to come back and check it out but highly recommend ordering multiple drinks and the check asap!!

I was recently invited to Hvac's new brunch option every weekend on Saturday and Sunday from 1PM - 3PM! It was a fantastic experience. Me and 5 friends showed up (a little late) at 1:30PM and were greeted upon arrival with a table all setup + a balloon with my name on it. We got 2 complimentary bottles of champagne and a complimentary chicken bacon pizza. The table was setup was so thoughtful and the pizza was surprisingly very very tasty. My 2 girlfriends also ordered chicken tenders tossed in barbecue sauce that they said really hit the spot. The mimosas tied the entire experience together! The ambiance was great. I have frequented HVac at nighttime however I liked it more during the day as it wasn't as crowded, we could hear the people around us, and the decorations in the joint are actually cute (I could never see them at night haha!) Overall a fantastic experience. If you haven't checked out this new brunch spot you definitely need to. Great staff, good food, and amazing drinks. Thanks HVac!!!!

One of my favorite pubs in the Wrigleyville neighborhood in Chicago. Few blocks down from the Cubs stadium itself. You will know when you're near this pub because you can hear it from a couple blocks away. The music here has always been good and the atmosphere always lively. Finding a table is a hit-or-miss but hanging out at the bar is as nice. Haven't been able to take note of the scotch or cognac collection but I doubt this would be the place for me to sip on either or. Beer selection is okay but sit back and enjoy the music. HVAC also prides itself on its pizza and food as well. I must say, I haven't had too much food here but I'm sure it will add to the atmosphere just as well. Outdoor patio is perfect for those summer days as well. I'll always be swinging by this place before a Cubs game.

Went to HVAC for the first time yesterday before the Cubs game and I was amazed (shouldn't of been because Adolfo always amazes).

Warm and lovely British pub with delicious pies and efficient service…read more My dining partner and I tried the mushroom and kale and the rocking vegan pies. The mushroom and kale pie was nice and cheesy and the rocking vegan pie was more savoury, with a variety of vegetables and chickpeas as stuffing. The crust was neither too soft nor too crunchy. The highlight of the meal was the curry chips: potato wedges lightly fried with masala and curry leaves. The dipping sauce that came with the chips reminded me of tikka masala sauce, and paired beautifully with the chips. Dessert was toffee pudding: the caramel sauce that came with the pudding was delectable - the pudding itself was excellent and not overly sweet. We tried a variety of NA beers, and I was pleased with how many options they had. Service was quick, and we were well looked after. The ambiance is warm, with dim-ish lighting and a lot of dark wood. The restrooms were gorgeous - special shoutout to the lovely floral wallpaper. Overall, I highly recommend Pleasant House - the vibe is chill and understated and the food is stellar.

Everything I could ask for in a English pub. Great beer…read moremenu, enough different options but a clear focus on bitters, ales, pub ales, etc. Started with a scotch edge and it was delicious. The sausage was very tasty, the breading on the outside was incredibly crisp, light, and the egg inside was cooked well. Both the steak pie and the chicken pie were very good. The chicken pie I think really needed the chutney that you can get separately. But that made it so much better and made it my preferred pie. The steak and ale pie was better than the chicken pie as a standalone, but needed a bit more gravy I think to elevate it. Sticky toffee pudding again was delicious. Surprisingly light, not overly dense so I was glad it came with the custard which was very flavorful. Overall, will definitely return!

The decor looks historic with dark wood walls, beautiful molding, and of course antique sports memorabilia. It is in Chicago after all!! The menu items that were highlighted was the prime rib, while supplies last and the ribs. I tried to go with the prime rib but at 7:30 it was sold out. The bartenders suggested the French dip sandwich with shaved prime rib but went with the ribs instead. Smoked daily the ribs were tender and moist with a very sweet homemade BBQ sauce. I prefer my sauce on the spicy side but it was delicious, the shrimp were fried and crispy, served with fresh cocktail sauce. I opted for the fries and side salad but were good. The Greek vinaigrette dressing was delicious. The bartender was super engaging and knowledgeable. I hat his signature Ole Fashion and a glass of cab from their list. Both were great You need to eat here!!

After many years of walking past Miller's Pub I finally had the opportunity to have dinner there…read more The inside of the pub is dark wood with lots of pictures of the family that owns Miller's Pub plus pictures of celebrities who have been there. The decor is straight from the 60s or 70s. The menu has something for everyone from ribs to prime rib to burgers. The waitstaff is friendly and efficient. The food was good. Our only one issue is the waiter told us the lamb chop special was gone so my husband ordered the pork chops but what was served were lamb chops. He ate them so we didn't say anything to the waiter but it was strange because the bill listed lamb chops not pork chops. Maybe they weren't gone after all? Over all I'll be keeping Miller's Pub in mind when we need somewhere to go for dinner or lunch and don't necessarily want fast food or the latest hot restaurant.

Checked out this hip looking brewery. It certainly is one of the many places to go to in The Loop…read more Industry Ales is a place that has a lot more than just beers, which is a good choice, because there's all kinds of people who crowd in and want to have fun times. Amazing that fun isn't always beers and chugging. The food is actually good and can be talked about in reviews because some people actually come here to eat, which tells you how they actually have a kitchen. Believe everything is good here but we came for the beers of course. It's certainly the main product made here so why wouldn't it be important. They make more than you can believe which is impressive because there's all kinds of crowds who pass through. For sure everyone wants beer. It's $6 a pint at happy hour. Pretty great for craft beers compared to lots of places it seems. Best one we got was the Bucket Hat. This is a Belgian style witbier. Has notes of bubble gum, coriander, and orange. The food isn't an afterthought so get some of that. It's about $18 for a burger. Vegans have options. Certainly one of these is the Veggie Burger. This is an amazing thing with a spinach patty topped with chipotle tomato marmalade, cremini mushrooms, mixed greens, pickled red onions, and sweet potatoes. All on a fluffy ciabatta bun. The rest of the menu contains meaty stuff. For sure it feels like a place for the hipsters but it's pretty great for anyone. It's located at the intersection of Jackson and Wabash close to lots of fun. The brewery has food that's better than expected but many other things about this kind of stuff are typical.
