HyVee is high as hell with subpar food selections and a limited supply of organic choices. The deli food looks like it all came from canned goods...the fried chicken looks like he/she was on their last leg and very depressed, no vitality or seasoning whatsoever in that bird and the poor bakery items appears to have been there over a month begging someone to buy them. Oh and who in their right mind would pay $2.79 for a 15oz of Bush's beans?? Man, they're making a killing on this community. The only good thing I like there was the Asian station and the dining seating area. Very chic! It's just unfortunate that this is even a grocery store option for the good ole folks of Minnesota. The store itself is fine, not the best, not the worst - just fine. I stopped in today Sunday 8/9/2026 at about 4pm for one tomato. I got into the rapid check out line and the young lady working the register was more interested in texting than she was in checking anyone out. The two people in front of me she stopped ringing their order to read her text messages and reply to her messages, for all three of us she did this. Don't employers have rules about using your phone while on the clock? Do they not give their staff enough breaks? Hy-Vee removed self check outs for this? So we can stand in line while the cashier messages people. Maybe Hy-Vee needs to take a look at whats going on in their stores. This Hy-Vee in particular is the worst I have visited. Other stores are very nice, well stocked with an assortment of food items. Not this store. read more

Where there's helpful smile in every aisle! Great pharmacy, makeup, & spa offerings at this Hy-Vee! I grew up with Hy-Vees in Iowa and it was one of my first jobs, so this grocery store will always have a special place in my heart. It's a clean, welcoming, easy to get to location. They have a selection of ready-made hot food like Chinese and BBQ that you can get for takeout, along with the bakery, pharmacy, floral, meat counter and deli, clothing area, and more. It's really the grocery store with everything. I've always been pleased with the produce, pantry items, meat, and other products I've bought from this Hy-Vee. read more

I didn't have great luck with the pharmacy here, so won't use again. I liked this store for delivery, as they seemed to have more items available for delivery than in store. Bridgeman's ice cream isn't carried by everyone, so its nice to rely on Hy-vee for that. But I couldn't find it IN the store. Delivery was the best option all around. read more

Hy-Vee in Plymouth Minnesota is a nice addition to the west metro. This particular location started as a Rainbow Foods and then became a Cub Foods and when Cub decided to close this location Hy-Vee purchased it and renovated the store. This footprint is slightly smaller than some of the earlier Twin Cities locations, but still provides all the high quality items, excellent service and competitive prices. I tend to think these stores are Cub pricing at a Lund's Byerly's quality - best of both worlds. This store looks and feels like the metro Hy-Vee stores and I didn't feel like I was in a retrofitted property - I think that is a positive. One thing to remember at the Hy-Vee stores is the employees are owners in the business - that tends to make them more involved in your shopping experience by being helpful. If you are having difficulty locating something in the store, ask someone and they will take you to the item you are seeking. Once you get acclimated to helpful employees you'll notice places that aren't doing that level of service. Really, ask any employee to help you and they will. Want to know what is the healthiest choices for your nutritional needs? There are dieticians there to assist you! Need a flu or shingles shot? The pharmacy can make that happen. Need some tips on how to make something for dinner, ask away! So nice to be able to have reliable folks that want you to be successful. This location (corner of 55 & 24) was a Rainbow, then a Cub, and now a Hy-Vee. However, you have a large Cub, Fresh Thyme and Lund's just down the road, plus another Lund's 5 miles south in Wayzata. So, another grocery store in a secondary location has to offer something different. I haven't found what that difference might be. Pricing is comparable to a Lund's, while product quality and selection is closer to a Cub. Sale prices are not as attractive as what I see from the competition. Service is nothing special, and certainly not comparable with Lund's. This is a large store, but I've had trouble finding specialty items that I know are carried by Lund's. In addition, the adjacent Hy-Vee liquor store is nothing special: mediocre selection at nothing-special prices. In short, there are a lot of other options out there that work better for me. On the plus side, having Hy-Vee in the mix likely forces the competition to do a bit better. read more

Terrible customer service Not friendly when you do find someone to help. No bags at self checkout lanes. When finally found an employee, she did nothing to help supply bags. I Had to hunt for paper bags for my order. Deli counter service not helpful. Unfortunately, had only negative experiences at this store. Visited the store and they corrected their error. Good customer service save. I would also add Hy-Vee is leading the way in COVID-19 vaccinations. You can pick up some great items while you wait your 15 minutes after vaccination. Visit the meat and seafood counter for some great grilling items as summer approaches. I stopped in today to get the Wow Wednesday deal for Roma pizza. I got their at 9 am to be sure they would not be out. But guess what? They didn't have any! The clerk said the truck didn't come in yet and they didn't know when it would. I asked if there was a substitution but was told on one day deal there are NO substitutions or rain checks and I was just out of luck. That doesn't seem like good customer service to me. On non sale items Hy-Vee seems to be very expensive, I happen to notice that a box of their store brand saltine crackers was $2.68. I was at Target yesterday and bought a box of their store brand saltine crackers for $.99 and it was not a sale price. read more

The cole slaw and seafood salads were soupie and the fried chicken was dry, way over cooked and hard to bite and chew. It was awful! I was expecting so much more quality than what was delivered. I tried to get some flowers, fruits and a birthday cake delivered to my sister who lives in Plymouth, and I was told that orders are not taken over the phone anymore. I have had flowers, fruit, and a birthday cake ordered and delivered from Hy-Vee last year, and the year before. A great lady who worked in the flower department organized my order and had it delivered. What Happened? I was told to go online to fill out an order form and I did not see the form online. Now I cannot get anything delivered to my sister for her birthday. She has been fighting for her life from cancer for 3 years, and every year that she is alive should be celebrated. I live in California and cannot deliver the items that I have been able to have delivered by Hy-Vee in the past. So sorry. I am so disappointed. In reading so many negative reviews about Hy-Vee, I would think that Hy-Vee executives would get many positive changes started. read more

Hy-Vee in Plymouth is one of the newest stores in Metro area. Very clean and spacious even it's not one of the biggest among Hy-Vee stores. With a lot of varieties and options of different foods the prices there is not cheap and rather pricy. Their coupons system is totally outdated. You absolutely required to have a coupon then you can present it to a cashier. And one more if they have sale for four bottles of pop you have to buy all four. If you decide to buy just one you have to pay a full price for it. read more

Only self-check out. One item would not scan. I could not finish checking out until a supervisor keyed in their code which took almost 5 minutes after the item rejected. I guess they wanted to make sure I did not steal a pack of pens. When I complained to the woman that it took so long and that I could not checkout. She told me next time to leave it behind. I reminded her that she had to key a code so I could check out for what had scanned. Guessing she wanted me to leave it behind $70 of groceries just sitting there. read more

Went into the Plymouth location because I was looking for low-fat vegan soy sauce and I ended up finding it! Was out of stock at every store I went to in the area, even at Whole Foods! Then I went over the seafood counter to grab myself some lobster tails because I was feeling very excited. Marcus, a very helpful seafood associate, helped me get some lobster tails. I took them home and cooked them and they were delicious! I went back about a week later and Will in produce did an exceptional job helping me with what fruit to feed my diabetic Dog! I was a first time Hy-Vee shopper today (about 2:30 p.m.). Upon entering the store I ran into two separate shoppers without facemasks within 60 seconds of entering the store, despite signs at the entrance stating they were required. I'm in my 70's and don't need to patronize a store that has no apparent interest in protecting my health from selfish & arrogant shoppers who have no consideration for putting their elder neighbors at risk. Plenty of shopping options exist where enforcement of this pandemic requirement is taken seriously. Call me "one & done" in terms of patronizing Hy-Vee. read more

First off the Hy-vee grocery store is awesome I want to say that but I have a problem with the pharmacy, April 12, 2019 I picked up one of my prescriptions and shopped a little. Got home looked at my prescription and I received only 30/month pills, my prescription is for 90/month. I called them and they blamed my doctor for writing the wrong prescription, I looked at my prescriptions online and it does indeed call for 90 pills. Also the customer service rep was very short with me. I will be going back tomorrow and bitching at them. DON'T SCREW WITH PEOPLE'S MEDICINE OR MONEY. The remodeled liquor store in Plymouth is beautiful. Wonderful selection of craft beer, local and otherwise. The customer service however is disappointing. No one pays any, repeat any attention to you. I was not asked if I could be helped. Maybe they should have invested in the staff over the store esthetics. That's ok. I have no problem going to MGM. Wonderful employees that understand what customer service is all about. My groceries are delivered on time, packed correctly with a smile and a thank you. If there is a mistake they redeliver that same day and if they are out of anything they replace with another brand at the same price. They will even special order items for me for my next order. Been there 4x. Nice new store, very splashy when you first walk in, but VERY slow checkout. Looks pretty but aside from the advertised sale items others are somewhat high/limited in brands etc.. Also I have had several instances where they have not credited me for advertised sale prices. Needs work. read more
